THE AUDIO QUALITY IS SO GOOD
soundboard recording?
@@RichardBono Sounds like it!
Yeah, this and hairy marys sound better than resurrection fest 2023 and every other proshot, which is funny because these are this first 2 shows from 1999
It's AI fake news Donald Trump
Jim Root still wearing the leather mask left behind by Josh Brainard
I got to hang out with Josh and the rest of on a pale horse back in the day at house of bricks a few times. Such a cool dude. Being able to get into places like that and hang out with those bands at 16 was the best time. Following my friends older brothers band around and being able to get in since we were “roadies” even though we didn’t do anything. Good times
This was the concert he hated because it was his first and the mask was filled with sweat
Corey voice is insane in this live and Iowa era.
Maaaaaaaaaan, James in that old Josh mask, Joey and his PDP kit, and Craig's flashing light on his helmet! So cool to see this stuff so clearly!
A snapshot in time and so rad to see, for a fan this old! Hehehe! :3
very first version of corey mask too
Actually it was an Orange County Drum and Percussion (OCPD) kit Joey had. That snare was a killer!!
Ohhhhh my fucking god! You're badass, man! This record is insane! Thankksss!!! 🔥🔥
The Chris's Original Mask!🔥🔥
The spit it out mask, heard it was stolen or sold
The squinted eyes look so cool, always been my favorite
@@sawtoothgrindefinitely his best mask
This is the show where Sid busted his head open.
38:37 hit head twice against beer keg, the metal piece of mask cut his head open.
44:26 comes back with towel over head to try and stop bleeding.
Got 16 stitches 😬
I was trying to look for that thank you
what a stupid way to busted the head hahaha
@@josuecosta894 sid is the only one i can think of who would go something like that
@@MatthewF-w3t Sid doing Sid things haha
ouch
3:06 love the pause they do and then get right back to it
thats why sic is such a good song. also the little half time part
Well well well.
What a way to return with this concert finally released in full. Good to see this active again.
Good to see u back
@@notactive1894wtf
I can actually hear Craigs Samples !!!
September 27/2024🎉 ❤
Wow Brother the Sound of Drums is Amazing the legs of Jordison 😢
Thanks for remastered 🎸🤟🏻⚫️☠️
those edgy questions from Corey, just epic hahaha
They were definitely scripted lol
I didn’t even know you could get such great recordings back in 99 this is amazing
Photo and video have always been good, just the ability to replay them has gotten much better. Its amazing how good cameras were in the 1920s and 30s. Just once it was printed or replayed it seems the camera is junk
Humans have had HD media for almost a century
I have just become re-inspired to pick my mic and guitar again. Back to my Jim Roots.
This show is so amazing, for me this is the best phase of Corey's voice, it sounds so young and brutal
They held a Meet and Greet at Down In the Valley in Golden Valley, MN before this show. Mick made a joke about the tour bus smelling like a “fecal pool” because of the bands’ toxic farts, lol. I was on their street team through Velvet Hammer management but I didn’t ask to be on the guest list for the show which I totally regret.
GOD the audio and video quality on this are absolutely INSANE. This was a very crazy show! love the videos!
Wow, you're back. And immediately we get a lot of videos. Welcome back!!
Merci beaucoup. J'ai denouveau 18ans . Après l'album lowa j'ai arrêter de suivre et là c'était la meilleure époque de ce groupe. Merci merci
are you a time traveler???? All these uploads are insane!!
If he is then we need 4k footage of Mustaine in Metallica
cory was struggling
First avenue wassup mothsfuckassss
i think this was when he had a throat infection iirc
Still sounds brutal though, impressive the way he fought through the infection and changed his technique down the line. I do screaming vocals with my band, trust me it's not easy
@globalevents0 I love First Avenue! I've been there for countless shows over the decades.
Better than your local jew or democratic sheeit
The more I see old slipknot records the more I'm impressed by the monster quality there's never been a band to play live like these guys! I feel drugged along with them in this show..I confess that I had never seen this Jimmy mask before...
Mick is the man holy crap
pure gold, thx man!!!
RIP Joey & Paul
this video came in perfect timing
its james with josh's mask ?
Yeah. At this point he’s in the band but since he didn’t exactly have a mask at this point, they just let him have Josh’s mask.
Not exactly the most comfortable thing to wear let alone doing a whole concert with. Also his hair being purple here at this time and sticking out just like Josh.
@@NWOWCW4Life1 ok :p
@@alykk7121this is the first show Jim did with the band , hence not having his own mask yet
Jim used that mask for First and last time
@@NWOWCW4Life1 might not have been comfortable but Jim definitely looks cool as hell with it
corey’s mask in this looks alot like 25th anniversary mask, more so than any other dummy weve seen
edit: probably because its fresh
A little paint job also helping too. But it was definitely getting beaten down by 1999/2000. That’s also why by Iowa he would debut a new one as well as dreads too.
@NWOWCW4Life1 He actually debuted a new one after July 1999, just because how fast the dummy weathered
@@sodapop0708Yeah. As said that mask was getting worn down a ton and I think if I recall correctly he did have to eventually flip it out again and then because it got so deteriorated, he had to use glue and tape.
And the remnants you can see in their Inside The Five dvd. It was that destroyed.
@@NWOWCW4Life1 Yup, sucks tbh cus that might be my fav Slipknot mask ever. Tho seeing it on ths last show it was used at, you can tell it was really worn down lol
@@sodapop0708There’s a definite reason they started getting those masks made professionally once they made money.
Amazing yes. But boy did they take a beating. Also didn’t help that the band rarely if ever cleaned em at the time.
Such is the grind. Tell ya this tho, thank goodness Jim didn’t keep the bondage hood cause it looked too weird on him and with it filling up with sweat was also not good.
Probably the last time Paul rocked the padlock on the nose
@@Fkdco9 that was after this?
Thank you for this 🔥
That fill from joey before the end part of sic was awesome
Holy Shit !!!! This is beautiful
Thanks for all the shows!
Thank you so much for posting this! I've spent a lot of time going to shows at First Avenue over the decades.
I was at this show. Their first show in Minnesota, I believe. I had a free comp ticket. The opening bands were Dodd, Druel and American Headcharge. This was about 2 months before the self-titled album came out. I was up front and Chris knocked the mic stand over on top of my head. I kinda think he did it on purpose. That sucks cuz it really hurt. I was pretty pissed.
You can actually hear paul really well in this clip!
Chris' first show
The word "Intense" doesnt even come close to describing this. God they were really in a dark and wicked place during this time weren't they? So filthy, raw, and unfiltered. Unsettling to say the least. Gotta love it. Lol.
El audio y la calidad es lo mejor, gracias, eres un héroe sin capa para todos aquellos a los que nos gusta esta banda y queremos escuchar y ver cómo eran sus primeros shows
GOLD
13:49 this is a sample from song hangar 84 by pitchshifter
The Iowa scream came from shows like this. So fucking awesome!
Where have you been man? We've missed you so much.
That was the best surfacing opening I’ve ever heard
The one and only
amazing, thank you!!
THIS IS INSANE
Come and play with us
idk why but seeing corey use a mic stand is cool, i know he only did that for a little bit but it stopped completely not long after this
LFGGGGGG FINALLY
YOU ARE A GOD!
Awesome
In the last few days, there's been a bunch of old skool slipknot concerts uploaded
What be the happs?
42:10 FUCKING SIC MASK
I love guitar josh before jim this is era slipknot goat
that's Jim. Just in Josh's mask
KNOTFEST 2024 - BRASL? QUEM VAI?
This footage is awesome! Just saw you guys in Washington state. SIC SHOW! Props to ‘VENDED’ on a totally insane opening set. Everybody was excited to see ‘Knocked Loose’ as the main opener, but in my opinion VENDED smoked ‘em in terms of performance quality and musical technicality. V’s drummer is pretty damn accurate and fast AF! Griff on vocals,… that’s the kind of genetic gift that is extremely rare. Man if I could afford it I would see Slipknot and Vended every time they were in my part of the world.
Vended smoking Knocked Loose? 😂
42:08 Most menacing shot of Chris
I was at this show. It was fucking insane.
Speaking of historical events, the bridge creek moore tornado happened that same day.
The more tornado didn’t happen in 99
Oh so this is even befre the Ozzfest concert
curiosidades:
Good facts there. I believe tho Craig still had the light feature for a few other shows but that was definitely scrapped for most of 1999/2000 for sure.
All those channels Concerts100 belong to the same guy? Very nice, been watching those old videos for years now
El en Vivo esta de la PTMD🤘😎🤘
43:45 corey is puking and putting it all over himself. Damn.
I literally gagged when he did that
Wow...
Period..
They were awesome..
Who in the fuck can sing like that ??
Wow..
Never-ending they all rip
Is that Jim Root?
Yes. Wearing Josh Brainard's mask.
Dude I think this is the only footage of Chris with the original liar mask that got stolen
Jim and Chris’s first show, right?
Yeah
Dude. Craigs flashy flash killed it like wtf
Struggling how? Hes killing it.
This is fucking insane and amazing
Wow the sounded great in 99 what's with Jim's mask lol
Tienes algún video de la canción screeam?
rare bondage hood jim
Holy shit Corey's actually screaming every word and not just mumbling his way through it like everyother live show recording I've seen. Its almost as if Corey went so hard in the studio and gave a performance he was never going to be able recreate live with the same energy and intensity 🤷🏻♂️
Cori morrendo já na primeira musica kkkkkkkk
BRO COREY ASKING EDGY QUESTIONS
Had no idea scissors had an outro like that in live shows.
This is the one where sid busted his head open after randomly banging his head on a keg and the metal part fucked above his eye up. that is why he has the towel on his head for the encore
Bass!!!!
The recordings from shows at First Ave now are arguably not as good as this... wow
Best cover band in the world.
?
Grow up kid
Good joke
This must’ve been pre release of ST because Jim’s got the bondage hood
I kind of wish he would've kept it. But I know why and I understand why he got rid of it tho.
Omg sid and clown foghting over the keg st the end haha
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is it James or Josh
James. Also you can tell by the way he moved. Tall mofo to
😮😮😮
Man that liar mask is super wicked 42:10
Back when they had something to prove
Really struggled during wait and bleed lmao
Was Corey sick?
apperently he had throat infection during this time
Chris and Jim’s first show
Just Jim's
@@romanzezulak5858 what was Chris’ then?
@@CMFT_69chris's first show was around 96
@@marzip7489 what? In 96 the percussionists were Clown and Anders

Joey fucking GOD!😮
Eloy, watch and learn from the master
gtfo Eloy is amazing just as was Joe

Eloy is great
Def Leppard guitar. Mick did not have that very long
The fact that jim root wasn't a member there
That's Jim in Josh's mask.
Killer
foda
is that jim?
Yea
Is that Josh?
No, Jim in Josh's mask. He would have his Jester mask by the next show at Hairy Mary's 19 days later.
@knotconcerts1006 aaah interesting! I never knew Jim wore it!
