    I just bought this exact bike for the sole purpose of riding coast to coast (CA to S.C). So far, after a few hundred feeling in miles, I am absolutely loving this thing! I'm glad I didn't get that FJR1300 like I wanted. Now I can hit some trails along the way if I so choose. And my destination is rural South Carolina, so I'm sure I'll find some nice dirt backroads to explore...Can't wait!!!

    Not sure what you ended up doing, but I would keep both Tenere's if you have the space and sell that KTM. I had the Super T before the T7 and both are incredible. If I had the space I'd probably do a Super T with a CRF300L or maybe even an XT250, but I had to pick one so I went with the T7. I'm about 13,000 miles in after 2 years and have loved it. i do sometimes miss the ease of the 500-1000 mile days on the Super T, but I did a couple of BDR's in 2022 with the T7 and it would have been a lot to handle on that huge bike.

      The KTM 1190 is like a bad drug habit, I got a little taste and im addicted.
      I sold the 1200, not sure what will be next

    Hey buddy...I think I'd keep the 700 personally. When i bought my 803 Ducati, I was torn between it or the 1100, and I think I chose correctly---love the smaller bike for fun rips! My local dealership has two new 700 Teneres....sweet bikes! I have thought about trading the Ducati for one. Thanks and good luck!

      The 700 is a great canyon blaster… just a fun all around bike.
      Might try and shoot out to Moab this spring with it 😁

    would be nice if there was a unicorn like you said. You need at least i would say 3 bikes... 1 crusier for riding nothing but on road, 1 light adv for small single tracks and 1 bigger adv for some 40 to 50% offroad but mostly on-road long distance

    Sounds like you need to replace your CCT on the S10. Might as well do the valves while you’re in there. I have a 2012, I love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything, it’s an absolute brute.

    • @AdventureTomek
      @AdventureTomek  4 місяці тому

      Can you manually try adjusting on the bike? This one is a 2012

    • @pappaclutch3266
      @pappaclutch3266 4 місяці тому +1

      @@AdventureTomek Not unless someone before you changed it to a manual type CCT. The OEM ones are hydraulic, there has been 2 updates to the CCT part since the 2012 model.

    I love my xt250 and I would love to own myself a tenere 700 as well if I have the finances; esthetically pleasing for sure.
    Thanks for sharing. Peace and GOD BLESS.

    Hey @adventuretomek I’m going to take a brand new T700 on multi-month trip to Mexico, and mostly in the hot southErnst’s Mexico. Can u pls share your recommendations on riding gear helmet, necessary modifications, please. PS love ur videos !

      I had my HJC CS-3 Mylo full face helmet, which is nothing really special. Never owned a fancy helmet yet, find one with as much ventilation as you can something lighter to deflect the sun. I love my Rev It eclipse jacket, very well ventilated and kept me cool.
      For pants: Levi blue jeans 😂… all I had at the time and a family member gifted me the Forma low adventure boots.. which realistically are just work boots without laces.
      As for modifications…. I would say double check on the stretches you want to be traveling make sure the 4.2 gallon tank is sufficient “we never had a problem finding a gas station” giant loop came out with gallon gas bags.
      Throttle lock, your wrist will thank you.
      Tank bag was a big help, I kept all my important documents inside. Passport, Wallet, TIP… and easy access to a few pesos to pay for tolls.
      Adjustable windscreen, seat cushion/comfort seat. Tusk has some good options for luggage/panniers at affordable prices. Look into Dunlop Trail Max Mission tires or the MotOz Tractionator line up, you will get some serious miles out of them.
      Stronger springs! Rally Raid sells some and are helpful with questions
      @deweyrides has been riding South America for the last few months, he has some better riding gear… and if you are planning on camping. He’s definitely the one to ask for recommendations.
      DeweyRides is he’s UA-cam and @deweyrides Instagram.
      My experience in Mexico was fantastic… locals are very friendly and helpful.
      ✅Don’t forget some basic tools for tire change if need be.
      Thanks to watching 😁

    I'd sell the KTM and keep both Yamahas. I've got several bikes to sell this year myself. If there were a unicorn bike for me I'd sell four bikes and get that.
