L.A. Woman is a masterpiece... a journey into a sublime existence.
L.A. Woman and the changeling are my most favorite still in 2022.
Their best album by far, they owe their notoriety to the Debut but it's apart from a couple of tracks it's really sugary pop, LA Woman is a much more accurate less unpretentious recording and mature collaboration as musicians, and stylistically it's a rarity for a group of 4 white suburban 20 somethings to produce such authentic Blues sound
Agree with you 💯 👍
@@ehLeanne311today is the 7th of July 2024 and I have been listening to this masterpiece probably 1750th time ❤😊
I'm from Ocala Florida heard Jim washing a car when I was 14 on a boom box Changed my world for life!! Followed his word and music for last 50 years I fukn love and adore him
Mi amigo, you are so right 👍 I would abla espanol but what I can speak is muiy picito. The Doors ROCK in any language.
Jeez. Can't believe I have never heard this before. The boys fucking tear it up. Better than the official release? Absolutely fucking awesome.
Blood oath Ian…f f f f fabulousishus indeed
Maybe in some way than the official ....
I definitely think so . Sounds like they were having a party in there
Yes, it's better than the original release. The transition after "Change the mood from glad to sadness" kicks ass. Also, In that song, it doesn't sound like he's singing with a mouth full of marbles. The whole album is better.
Songs do not suddenly appear like magic alot of hard work goes into their creation
love it never been so broke i couldn't leave town dig it
Jim morrison was like lightening from the sky 🕯️ RIP 💓
Musical lightening! Well said ...
Interesting that you said that. I remember being at JFK airport , just months before Jim died and looking up at a very dark line of thunderclouds . I was thinking about him singing "When the Music's Over" and a bolt of lightening shot across the sky. One of those memories that always stuck with me.
Spoken like a back door man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like this version Better than the album version it's got more guts.
Yeah Jim Morrison.
Mr mojo risin.
I'm just a young enthusiastic nomad that loves freedom and always when I listen Jim singing I feel that I can do anything
The best band ever
Enough said...
*Absolutely in the top 20 of 100s Greats!* -And Morrison's an amazing poet&caracter, lovetheguy :)

Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love that
PERIOD.
Thx, very very good !
I wonder if they had any idea they were laying down tracks that people would be loving and listening to 50 years later….songs like Riders and LA Women that would become iconic and would have to rank among the best ever. I’m guessing they had no idea how great this stuff is when they were recording it. Had Jim realized, his ending might have been different. Moral of the story: someone needs to go back in time and tell Jim-before he leaves for Paris-that the group has just created an incredible record that will be remembered forever.
They had to know LA Woman and ROT Storm were instant classics, by that period of recording.
He didn't want to come back and do those six months.....and believe me they knew exactly what they were doing. Especially Jim😎🤘
@Riley Tinny believe you? Enlighten us. I agree a free spirit. I think he went way supposed to. Blazing light at peak n then death. True rock star
Jim sounding great ..a fantastic album, The Doors at their best.
THANK YOU!!!
Mucho y poderoso blues..
Sounds so good with a bass 🤟
Listen to how Jim starts! With a primal scream!
Amazing singer!
WoW!! No tanto. Pero si que lo disfruto
I feel like I'm right there with them back in time.

The west is the best (29;)
Met his parents in the early 90s. Some of the nicest people I've ever met... Grandad was stationed in the same locations as Jim's dad for several years.... This show is great!
did they talk any about Jim?
Jim is alive in My Soul Forever🙏
Can you imagine if Jim had lived this bluesier version of The Doors with a bass player live.
Amazing energy
TJ McKinney that is what happens when I die
His music without a bass instrument gives it a dreamlike sound that is precisely the ABC of the band
@@ezedico6905 There was no bass in the Doors on stage (before Jim's death), but there was bass on all Doors albums except the first one (to be really accurate, there is bass gtr overdubbed on 6 of the 11 tracks of the first album).
@@ezedico6905 True, but the band was getting grittier, & more bluesy from Morrison Hotel to LA Woman,
& that kind of music will benefit from from a bassist. What I never understood was why they would
always record with a bassist but not play live with one?!?
@@nicktamer4969 Not doubting what you said as I am no Door's expert, but who played the bass on all of those studio albums? I do know they added a bass player to L.A. Woman, but who else played? I thought Ray did all the studio bass on his keyboard. No?
The Doors were just as good as any band from the 60s I got onto them after an ex girlfriend played some of their albums.I was heavily into metal and punk at the time but I found the doors were doing something that your average minstrel didn't do. Been a fan for over 30 years.

The guy that made this video forgot LAmerica, Hyacinth House and Crawling King Snake. There some of my favorites too. But he added You Need Meat, Rock Me and She Smells So Nice
A man who loved his music so much, it took his life.
I can’t put into words how much I love this.
Agree nothing more to tell about just amazing studio live ! Re-discover L.A Woman;)) in 2022
Sad he finally got to where he wanted to be with his music and creating his poetry, and he died. Imagine what more could have been....
He was finished. LA Woman was recorded between Dec 1970 and Jan 1971 and they tried some of the new material at a couple of concerts in December. The last one was disastrous. New Orleans. Midway through the set, Jim began to forget the words to songs. He was hanging on to the mic stand for support as the group launched into "Light My Fire," and during the solos he went and sat down on the drum riser, failing to get up to sing the last verse. That's when Ray said he knew it was over, that Jim's spirit just left him. Densmore finally nudged him with his foot, whereupon Jim went over to the mic stand and repeatedly smashed it into the stage until it splintered, then threw down the mic and abruptly walked off stage, ending the show early. The other band members had a meeting at which they agreed that the New Orleans show should be their live swan song, since Jim's unpredictability made further touring impractical.
WoW! This is a fantastic gem! Pure gold! 5 Stars! I recently saw a short documentary by Ray, where he says
he spoke to Jim, who was already in Paris, & told Jim that LA Woman was selling well. Jim was psyched and
tells Ray he wants arrange a tour to play this material live, & add Jerry Scheff & Marc Benno to the live band.
Sadly that never came to pass.....
very sad 😥
That particular call was actually with Jim and John, not Jim and Ray. I produced a radio show on The Doors, so I had to know these things.
You are correct Sir, it was John that Jim spoke with from Paris..
Jerry Scheff is such a great bass player and perfect fit for The Doors. I don't know if he's still alive, but his playing influenced my style a lot , which I studied at length when backing an Elvis impersonator in 1979. Jerry's playing with Elvis top notch.
But he is alive in our hearts!!!!never he die!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is one of the best uploads on the great band Jesus, the combination of the music and images blend so well, well-done. Being the 50th Anniversary of the great album and The Lizard King's passing I've been on a "L.A. Woman" fix and there isn't a better time to appreciate and be inspired by the classic. Such great music and such a great band who only get better with time.
Absolutely agree 💯
never saw a woman so alone! Made my day, Jim! ever, and ever!
Texas Radio is awesome
This is raw honest and rare. Like Jim
awesome version of Rock Me Baby with the sweet runs by the bass player. What a shame he did not get to tour with the band. Always loved Ray's left hand bass, but it did limit him in live shows. Riders on the Storm is, too, a revelation. The guitar-piano interplay is sweet and again, the actual bass is more compelling and "driving".
Awesome ,felt like I was in the studio..Grados and a tube McIntosh , Focal system...🎸🎹
Kicks Ass for 50yr old tune. Jim's vocals and Ray's keys are on fire! [ Changeling track ]
Um, 50 years. Don't rush it. ;)
Imagine, you’re Jim Morrison and you own the world as one of the greatest ever to Grace rock n roll. Only one problem! Life is moving so fast you flame out before you can appreciate the trail you blazed. Jim, was everything to everyone one and the admiration was mutual.

Hearing these live in studios showing up on YT has given me an ever greater appreciation of the doors.

Guaaaauuuu ufffff q bueno gracias por subirlo es brutal q bueno q disfrute me estoy tomando una cerveza 🍺 q grande the doors L.A. woman rock and roll
Awesome!! Classic Rock!! Thx Jim xoxoxox
This is probably my favorite album... & live, too 😍 there is something so special about hearing little pieces of their conversations between the songs and the alternative fills and whatnot as they are discovering the final path for these songs ❤️ thank you 🙏🏻
Yeah, hearing these guys creating, honing & mastering their art... It's kind of magical experience. Jim's words coming to my mind, I indeed feel like I'm totally relaxed & free to do whatever I want, I'm finally home..
One of my favorite Doors songs. "The Changling". Speaks to my inner soul. 🙂
So true-one of mine too! Wow, first heard it 50 years ago and it still cooks!
It's a gem, that's for dang sure !!
Same here!! Makes my blood boil!! One of my favs for sure ❤️
Amazing rare versions! Thanks!
I agree, but have you heard the original version? also very tasty
Jim mi scorri nelle vene come la prima volta che ti ho sentito in light my Fire. Avevo 15 anni. Ne ho 51. La mia vita con te. Grazie fratello. 🙏❤️
Amazing version of LA Woman! Jim’s poetry is far more significant than most realize.
yeah
I think anyone that likes Jim digs his poetry.
most people dont understand sybolism as a poetic form. morrison locked in on the method. very blake influenced. when you understand how it works, much more depth is revealed in its meanings and connections.
Cool mais en français ca di quoi ? J'aime
Hands up all who have a copy of An American Prayer AND played it recently.
All hail the American night~

My favorite album by The Doors.
Thank you Jesus ! This is riveting. Yuma,AZ.
Rode past Jim's birthplace last week on my Harley. L.A. Woman was in my mind the rest of the night.

Vraiment fabuleux. Un dieu du rock.
I met Jim in Boston Mass 1970 i was 12 or 13 was working the food service Boston Arena at his show he needed ice for the beer and cigarette's...he put his hand on my head and shook his hand back n forth never forget it he got so drunk two hrs later they used the ice to revive him he was passed out...

Fantastic pictures to go with the amazing music. LA Woman never gets old and the alternative takes are beautiful. Thank you !
The best album!!!
the thought of Morrison sitting in the bathroom during the recording of this album for "that sound" amazes me.
You think he did his "business" in there while singing LA Woman Sunday Afternoon?
A true god that graced the world with his voice and zaniness
Waouh merci pour cet envoi. Magnifique alternative album La Woman... JIM a une énergie sulfureuse. Version de La Woman superbe. Le groupe est au diapason... Bluffé !
This version is friggin' awesome!
The Doors, to this day, are still looking for the film footage of their performance in Mexico & are paying a huge amount of money for it too.
Someone needs to find that.
He sulked, he strutted, he snarled......what more could a girl want?
