Yes, a legend. How's the quality line up for this gig? I think Buddy Whittington , and Mick Taylor were the standout guitarists in his band, but over the journey, however, the list is a formidable one. Clapton, Green, Trout, Montoya, etc who is yours? Coco was good!!

@billhorstkamp98 Iam in complete agreement with you. Jimmy Page is a much better overall guitarist. As far as pure blues, I feel Peter Green was superior only in that aspect. Thanks for the reply

Had the privilege to see John and the Bluesbreakers on a package show in Atlanta in 1988, in support of their "Chicago Line" release. The franchise always featured GREAT guitarists (of course), and that evening added two more to my musical consciousness in the forms of Walter Trout and Coco Montoya. Great show, great performers and great memories. Mr. Mayall is the undeniable Father of British Blues, and now has "room to move". Rest in peace John, and thank you.

A man came into the gallery and said someone told him I might have an amp he could borrow because the airline had lost one of his and he had a gig across the street at Casa Novas in Makawao. I said sure and loaned him a brand new Peavey 15" and he told me and my friends to come over and enjoy the show. It was John Mayall and he gave us a stagefront table, drinks on the band and a wonderful show. An unforgettable night.
