I'm tempted to send this to my french teacher
Hahah do you know how hard it is not only to learn a different language but to apply its rules in daily dialogues?
@@camillabosca2872 do you realise that the indian chick probably knows three languages , including English and can speak all of them fluency . I know a few Indian even speak upto five languages
@@racistrishi3238 no for sure, that's not what I'm saying, it was in response to the guy that said "I should send this to my french teacher", it was to say that it's probably hard enough for them to have to constantly use their second language and it's really hard not to make mistakes, I know this because I speak three languages and I currently live in a foreign country

You can do this in most Chinese languages and be understood, but it would just sound kinda rude.

I am unable to understand it
@@boobindarpussiya7464 At 0:55 Because he says “ I never date indian women” instead of the past tense “ I never DATED indian woman “ , it makes him sound like he is racist and doesn’t like indian women instead of just saying he never had the opportunity to date one.
Because of this , he appears in a white robe at 0:57. The White robe is a “ KKK” outfit.
The “KKK” were a racist terrorist group in America who killed non -white people
@@sjappiyah4071 oh!!!!
Thnx for explaining.
It's my first time hearing about kkk gp
@@sjappiyah4071 Everything you've said is correct, except the proper form in this case would be "I HAVE never dated an Indian woman" or "I've never dated an Indian woman." This is because if you include the word have, it indicates a situation that is still in progress and subject to change, while omitting the have would suggest that it has settled into some sort of permanent state, or that the activity that is being discussed has ceased altogether. Therefore, if you say "I've never dated an Indian woman," this means that while you have never dated one to this point, you may in the future, since you are still dating and don't know what the future will bring. However, if you simply say "I never dated an Indian woman," this would imply that not only have you never dated one to this point, but never will in the future, because the very act of dating is something that is firmly in the past, and not a part of your future (for example because you're now married or simply gave up on dating altogether), or alternatively even if you are still dating, there is no chance that you will ever date an Indian (for example, because you are just about to get married and your wife-to-be is not Indian, therefore if you haven't dated an Indian so far, it's unlikely you ever will, etc.)
UA-cam always doing treasure hunts, now we have this!... beautiful!!!
Tenses and even pronunciation is very important. I never understood why my ex bf would go mad every time i said "suit yourself". One day he brought our entire past fights the way men always do in a fight 😂 He confronted me and said "And look at how you always tell me to go 'shoot' myself over every little thing" . 🤷🤦🙆
My native language is Chinese, in which the present tense is the only tense. When I speak English or other foreign languages, I feel tired, because I have to pay attention to use different tenses.
Then how do people know if you're talking about the past or present?
@@sambros2 We just say the time the event happens/happened. Vienamese is the same way.
It's honestly much easier. I also find tenses annoying.
Yes, usually we add words 'yesterday', or 'now', or 'tomorrow' or 'already'
@@sambros2 Although the verb doesn't change with tense, there are many particles in Chinese to indicate the aspect of the verb. ("Aspect" means the state of the action, e.g., it is happening, or has been completed, or is beginning to happen, etc.). I'll give you an example.
In Mandarin there is a particle 过 guo which indicates the completion of the action. For example, 看 kan means to see, so 看过 kan-guo means to have seen. Thus "I have seen this film" is 我看过这部电影 wo kan-guo zhebu dianying. However, the Mandarin version means something slightly different from the English, because it emphasizes the completion of the action. If you don't want that, you can use the particle 了 le instead. So 我看了这部电影 wo kan-le zhebu dianying would mean something like "I watched this film".
Mandarin particles are actually quite difficult to master. As a native speaker, I believe that incorrect usage of partiples tends to be the second most conspicuous thing that betrays a non-native speaker (the first thing being, of course, accent).
Hm, then if you were in Doctor Who (time travelling sci-fi), how would you say "I will be in London yesterday" or something like that? Also, how do you translate English books/movies etc when someone uses some tense? (Is it just "I'll do it" -> "I do it in the future"?)
A very great example, this would make english learning much easier XD
Sometimes people get confused to decide when to use the right grammar so this sure helped a lot to understand how important grammar is
As an Indonesian I can relate so much. We do not have tenses and only use time adverbs to explain present and past.
I so relate to this as a L3 Malay speaker, it's so frustrating to describe an action you did in the past but you still are doing currently.
She’s so beautiful
Surprisingly, in India they use the present continuous tense a lot, like really, a lot. It was mentioned in my grammar book in school to not overdo it xD
yea true I use it too

Why we have to use tense if we can simply add adverb to make the context clear?

Yeah. I agree. I did it before. My words are "i have not date with indian girls yet". (Yes, in my case also indian girl). And its completely understandable and went through.
