I did green tomatoes for the first time ever this year. For me it was a bad growing season and as cool weather came I had green tomatoes just hanging for weeks. I love them! ❤
I’m going to have to look for one of those debubblers. I have never seen those before. Loved watching you add wood to the stove, and jars to your pantry. So relaxing!
I am so glad to see you leave your rings on the jars, I do to but everyone says to remove them. love your video's it is so soothing to listen to you talk. God Bless!
I LOVE canned green tomatoes! We have a catfish restaurant here in Lufkin that serves up good 'ole East Texas fried catfish, and one of their menu items is green tomato relish. They will also sell it to you in jars, if you so desire. It is delicious and makes that catfish even more special. Being raised in Texas, I must have my fried catfish at least once a week! NITA

Ms. Lori, every time I watch one of your videos my blood pressure goes down! I don't know what it is, your soothing voice or your calm, cool demeanor. I am in the process of making your green tomatoes, pot is boiling right now. I trust your knowledge and expect tasty goodness! Thank you for providing this great lesson.
That does make a pretty jar of pickles. Yep, my pots are stained, too, but it is my kitchen. You are so calm making the videos. That is part of what makes folks love you. I bet that wood stove makes your home so warm and cozy. When I was a young girl, my grandma still lived in a home without electricity. She cooked either in the fireplace or on the woodstove, but her house smelled so good. When I was 12, the electric company had finally made it's way down the 2 miles to their home, so she got an electric stove, a washing machine, and a pump for the well. It was a whole new world for them. Wish I had her old stove. Don't know what happened to it.
As a child pickled green tomatoes where my favorite pickled side. This just made me remember how good they where - somhow I completely forgot about this delicious treat😍👍😀
Please use your favorite pots and pans when showing us stuff! Cause we have them too, and makes it seem like have sort some of the same things. Lol! Bless you in there, Mr. Brown , with the sneezes!
Green tomatoes...yum...glad to hear you and mr brown are feeling better ...the coughing sure does take a while to go away tho. Always good to see you...God bless xox
What a coincidence! I'm canning green tomato garlic pickles tomorrow with the last harvest before the freeze ( we live in NC.) My recipe is an old family recipe. I love the one you shared! 🍅
It’s like the saying. ’a dirty child is a happy child’ so a stained pot is a well used pot! Love your videos because it is like being in a good friend’s kitchen. I wld say my mammy’s kitchen but she couldn’t cook and I am only learning now at 68 years old…was too busy working before !!!
Oh Ms Lori your tomatoes look amazing. Thanks for sharing your day with us. I heard Mr Brown coughing in the background. I hope y’all are doing ok. God bless y’all. Thanks.

Very interesting video Miss Lori. I've never seen pickled green tomatoes before. I'm from Central Illinois. I just finished canning some Apple pie filling this afternoon. You have a beautiful garden. Wish I were a little younger. I would have incorporated some things I've learned watching. God Bless you guys❤️❤️❤️
These are a family favorite! I never thought of adding mustard seed or bay leaf...will have to try that. thanks!! We do like them hot, so in the garden we plant hot cherry peppers. Yes, they can get mushy after a while. I didn't like that, so I tried the fridge method... I use a gallon size jug, added all the goodies then added the brine. Waited till it cooled and put them in the fridge, believe it or not they last at least 2 years. As long as you have room in your fridge, I recommend this. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful recipes. I love watching you!

Ole lordy your pot is fine. Funny how we get attached to your pots etc...we always call it brown beans in w.v. I've bout got in habit of calling them pintos now around here. Those look awesome I've never canned green tomatoes. I've ate them but never canned them. Love ya stay warm 😊💚
Thank you for sharing this very easy to follow video. I made some similar to this using some of your spices. I have a brine of my own that I use but decided to try some dill weed, garlic, peppercorn to the bottom of the jars with some onions as well. My brine is just vinegar no water as my family prefers it very zesty and in my brine I put pickling salt, a bit of sugar, celery seed, tumeric and mustard seed or powder which ever I have on hand. Turned out absolutely delicious! Once again thank you.
Oh yes mam!!!! Thank ya for this one Mrs Lori, I've been wanting to put up some pickled green maters, this is what I needed to see!! You and Mr brown have a good weekend!! Dan

So glad to see you back and feeling better.
Love your videos! That pantry is amazing. I just pickled tomatoes a few days ago. Wish you had this video then ;-) it was the first time I had ever canned anything. They are good, just vinagery lol now I have this video to do next time. Thanks for your videos!
Dan
Thank ya ,Dan, easy process! Xoxoxo
Ms.Lori we all have a pot or two that looks like that all it means is we do a lot of cooking in that pot!!!! sometimes I soak my with a little bleach and it makes it look a lot better for a while.
