My 17 Year Old Gave Me A Make Over

- In this episode of Conversations, my 17-year-old daughter Amy gives me a makeover.
Why? Well, we were spending a lovely day together celebrating Mother’s Day, and she said she’d like to give me a ‘Glow Up’, and see what I’d look like wearing her make up. I thought it would be a really interesting experiment, to see how a teenager would make over a 54-year-old!
The last time Amy did my make-up, she was about 4 years old, and thankfully she has learned a lot since then… It was fun to spend time together doing this, and she showed me products I’d never thought about before, and techniques I’d never have considered.
Amy demonstrated various makeup techniques, including applying primer, foundation, concealer, bronzer, and contour - which I would never have done. She also shared tips on blending and setting the makeup, rather than simply throwing it on and carrying on with the day, which is my go-to for make-up application!
This is what I learned:
Primer really does help makeup stay on.
Using the right brushes and tools makes a difference.
Blending is key to achieving a natural and flawless look.
Cream products can create a dewy and glowy finish.
Setting spray helps makeup last longer.
Eyeliner and mascara can enhance the eyes without the need for eyeshadow.
Lip liner and lipstick can complete the overall look.
