#ces #tech #technology #digitaltrends #ces2024 @GOVEE #govee #ledlights #ledlighting #ledlightstrips #gaming #hometheater - Наука та технологія
10 years ago Microsoft demonstrated a brilliant home theatre setup called "IllumiRoom Demo", where it uses a projector to combine the virtual and physical worlds.
Still nothing like it in the market sadly.
I remember that! And to this day I think about that light thingy!
Govvee have come a long way and i love it
Freaking awesome!!! I have like 12 different Govee LEDs around my home and business 😎. Can’t wait for these new ones
Govee has the best lights and the best prices in the light game! The customer service is exceptional and they’re always working with their customers to improve their lights… I own Lifx lights and Govee lights and Govee wins hands down!
Really like their products, cool to see them evolve
What do you recommend from Govee for synced backlighting on my 65" Samsung Q80C?
4:51 Nice video but honestly I've never really seen the need to put LED lights behind your TV to replicate the colors on the TV. I've heard it has benefits to brighten the screen, but I feel like I'd be too distracted with the lights going off. I mean when you go to a movie theater the lights are all turned off except for the very few dim ones and I feel like you get a better experience with it being just a dark room.. 🤷🏽♂️ That's just me
To be fair, the field of view on a theater is quite different.
@@KK-ef1ow agreed 💯 I was just using it as an example. But for me I just don't see the need for having lights behind the TV, although I've never experienced it. So maybe my mind would change if I saw it in the real world.
@movie_av_impulse would defintely interesting to see it setup. I doubt you experience the fullness through a screen like we are
Seems like a really stupid waste of electricity and resources to me. The incredible graphics on the incredible monitors we have nowadays is enough for me, I can tell you that. A bunch of lights flashing all around my room seems stupid and distracting, but I guess the type of people who actually drink g fuel will think this is dope shit or whatever.
i have the T3 lights on my 77 inch and it is great for movies, not so much for youtube or sports. i feel it adds a lot, i dont think i would need it for my pc gaming unless i had a smaller monitor but i have a 42in and 27in
I’m a Govee junkie!!! Love their prices and products, amazing quality great app as well❤
Awesome video as always Caleb. Those rope lights are amazing, I’ve always wanted my name in lights, now it’s possible.
I have one of Govee's camera systems for TV ambilight... It's not really that good to be honest. I spent so long recalibrating it, tweaking the settings, making sure there is no glare confusing it, etc, and it never is consistently accurate. This seems to be a common problem when you search for it, but it never gets mentioned in reviews. I understand in this case he was just looking at a demo booth, which obviously is setup in the best possible way, but I'm hesitant to try any other Govee product when I've already been burned once and no one seems to be doing in-depth testing of such things before they start recommending them.
Thank you for doing this video.
I can't wait to test it 😊
I've got the Govee Sync box on my TV and I'm currently building a Corsair ICUE PC, I can't wait to see how they work together.
I found your coverage of Govee to be very illuminating... Ok, I'll see myself out now.
I think they should also sell prescription glasses because your bound to go blind with all that rgb 😊
RGB Blind cane...ok..I'm probably going to hell. 😅
You're or you are.
NOT your.
Fun stuff!
Perfect for Diwali 👍
I have the old TV lights trip. This is insane! I saw Sneki Snek in the background, is that their way of teasing a future collaboration with razer?
Govee lights are awesome
Love the idea of a retro fit style Phillips ambilight without a camera and laaaaag
Does the gaming sync box also just work on a tv while watching a movie? So far not a huge fan of a camera due to the delay. A sync box would solve that, but here it’s promoted as game only.
Did you not watch the video for the gaming kit?
@@neilbonalosdid you? No clear answer wether it’s also for watching tv. Only stating it also works for gaming consoles connected to a television.
On their EU page they have one of their sync boxes advertised for TVs so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
You can but if you have an external device like gaming console, roku, fire tv etc. It does not ready the internal apps on the TV. So it won't read your smarttv apps. I'm holding off until they come up with the technology where it can ready directly from the TV because i also hate the camera
Can;t find the Govee AI for a 77 inch tv anywhere guess they stopped selling it.
Oddly the tree lights would be great in New Orleans..Mardi Gras trees are a thing. Many people just take of Christmas ornaments and put up mardi gras ones.
I just bought some Govee stuff for christmas. Theyre pretty nice!
Its unfortunate theyre still using that camera thing, though. The monitor backlight I bought uses software on the PC to replicate the colors on screen, no camera!
Can you link me to that product? I hate the camera as well
@@Gabriellv8 yeah, keep in mind this one's specifically for PC. Search for "Govee Gaming Light Strip G1 Monitor Backlight"
They have also a new one for TVs that works through HDMI connected devices, but doesn't support HDMI 2.1.
What backlight did you buy?
With this new AI, is it web based or is it in the actual physical product?
Did Philips hue come out with anything cause i have committed to their light bars and think they do color brightness better than Govee .
The anime curtain is so cool
I love my govee products. Super easy to use and they work so well. Looking forward to buying more to put around the house!
its adon Ambilight. Shame NA doesnt get Philips TVs
Hey Caleb, not sure if you're back home yet, but its snowing 🤓
I am in Portland too! And it’s not really snowing here. A couple of flurries a while ago is all I saw in NE Portland. ❄️😊
@LeezahB yeah 😀 up higher it was. But it stopped
Govee honestly is such a great company they really listen to their customers. I have so many products it looks like I work for them 😂
The rope light control is a nice update.
Lit indeed! Been a fan of Govee for a while and it's nice to see their upcoming stuff.
I had emailed them a month ago asking if they were going to be releasing a new version of the AI synch box and they said
"We have no plans to upgrade1 at this time, but we have relayed your 1feedback to the appropriate department. Please believe we'll continuously improve our products." 😡
Gonna be so mad if they ditch the HDMI sync box for the cameras.....
The AI thing is cool but can we just get the low hanging fruit…like Matter compatibility? 🤷🏽♂️
😊
As I add technology like this to my living environment, my energy provider (National Grid) yells at me an tells me to cut back on my usage. I know that new tech is designed for energy efficiently, but it all adds up. 🙄
At first I thought this would be gimmicky, but this AI stuff is actually really awesome for lighting effects.
Yea, can't wait to have some of their lights for my gaming setup
Very cool! This adds a whole new aspect to the viewing experience! I like it! 👍🏻
This looks cool. I like Govee lighting products, not fond of the Alexa only for voice commands. I hope they branch out to other ways to use voice commands.
Those tv lights look distracting af
Not at all. It adds immersion into the mix.
Who in the world would want flashing lights while they're watching a movie?
It helps when watching movies in the dark. Really great to minimize eye strain.
Seems like it would do the opposite, and be really distracting ontop. @@hollaz2alex
Agreed. I personally don't like it... but it seems to be the trend these days. To each their own, I guess.
I love govee products!
Really DT this is the big find? I cannot stand click bait! I thought you were gonna present a Micro LCD panel!
I guess I’m the only one that absolutely hates rgb tv lights
Nope. I hate it too, it also makes the actual colors on your TV appear less accurate. I'm ok with a bit of bias lighting behind the TV but it has to be a natural white that way it doesn't mess with the color accuracy.
They have the worst app ever lol. So cheap
100% hue is so much better
Are you not doing a Panasonic TV review??.??
Wow a great use of AI for real world
GOVEE COMMERCIAL
💛💚💙💜🤍❤🧡
This felt like an advertisement
Thats not AI.
Stop using "AI" so effortlessly....
It's just an algorithm.
Every AI is an algorithm but not every algorithm is an AI.....
It’s just glorified machine learning
Looks like Govee's AI can also generate and post UA-cam comments. So many Govee bot comments here makes me think twice about this company, a good brand doesn't need to fabricate good word of mouth.
The utter stupidity of wanting distracting flashing lights behind your TV as you're trying to enjoy a movie. The funny part is I know you're thinking the same thing - you just can't say it aloud 😂
Paid ad. Wish this was disclosed in the video itself.
Some of this is definitely cool, but everything feels way overhyped here. Hard to believe the "did not influence the coverage" comment.
Maybe it's because it's not very accurate, but the AI backlighting looked way too aggressive and distracting for any hardcore gamer like myself.
not gonna lie, i was surprised by their customer service. i called their phone number and a PERSON ANSWERED!
Do you usually lie?
@@mavfan1 i know its unbelievable
Sounds like they don't trust their own product if a person is answering.
@@jb7753no. A company proud of its products will always stand behind it in terms of customer service.
Truly a high bar
Decent outdoor lighting but way overpriced.
Why not mention how the system doesn't really work at matching anything? The entire purpose of this product is match and reproduce and color but with that ugly camera ew
Hey everyone. Put cameras in your living room so it can watch GTF outta here with that nonsense
Irrespective of innovation, too much stress on EYES.....
A slaughtered man, does not believe his word!
Poor publicist!
Shameless product promo. Please don’t
Maybe, but at least it’s Govee. Govee’s a great company, imo, and deserves recognition for what they’re trying to do.
Meh
Govee products are way overpriced for LED's. LED's are very cheap. 16ft of LEDs aren't worth $60+. It's crazy.
You're paying for the superior software and features.
Same old rubbish nothing new for 2024...
A slaughtered man, does not believe his word!
Poor publicist!
