Taking a pole class was one of the most humbling and painful things I have ever done... if you think you're fit, think again... you're using muscles in ways you never expected, I was so black and blue... Roz is AMAZING, I am SO taking one of her classes in NYC, so glad she's local... her energy and positivity is infectious... this girl absolutely rocked it, watching her progress was great! Congrats on your achievement girl, you looked great!

This is literally how you get hooked.
    You tank the first time.
By the second class, you're like, "This is so much fun, and so hard, but I'm getting it!"
By the 5th, you lose most of your clothing.
Every new move or any progress is such a huge accomplishment.
1 year in, and I'm still in LOVE with it!
I'm not afraid to try the provocative moves anymore 😉😉
Added bonus.... I've gained so much damned confidence!! I've never encountered another more supportive and body positive environment than pole class with women of all types ❤❤❤❤

Hi, just jumping in the middle of the subject I've always been skinny and pole really helps tone and settle your muscles, I can actually feel how strong I am, it's really cool to be surprised by your own strenght when you didn't knew you had it. There's this poledance teacher who had a baby not long ago and she posts about her recovery on instagram camilacosta1990, her baby is one year and a half old I think... Bottom line here is: I think it's a perfectly good idea, I love pole and hope you will love it too. :)

I was a little bit overweight, I was weak with no strength, AND I'm about to turn 50.
I have tried nearly every gym in my area and so many types of workouts. I never lasted at any for more than a month.
I felt so intimidated, but I went. Everyone is encouraging and supportive. There are men and women of all sizes, all backgrounds, all different athletic abilities.
Even when I'm next to an athletically built 20 year old in class I don't feel out of place!

The "oh, strippers" part was so cringe. Pretty sure pole fitness didn't materialize out of thin air. Put some respect on strippers, boo. Otherwise awesome video, Roz is amazing!

Pole dance originated in the circus. Then moved to clubs and that is when strip clubs were born. I’m a dancer and it’s shame how society judges us for being comfortable with ourselves to do the job.

It originated in India, centuries ago. Just like yoga. PD is so graceful and sensual, stop the shaming. :)

I’m so obsessed with the coach!!! It’s so nice to see a confident curvy pole dancer. I began pole dancing a few months ago and many slim girls have looked down their nose at me. I wish I could dance with someone like her. 😍

In what universe are you pretending to be in?....This is NOT "curvy", Sofía Vergara is curvy, this is obese.

I think we shouldn’t shame people who pile dance or do exotic dancing. It is a amazing exercise that takes a lot of strength and respect for yourself ✊ for the people who pole dance y’all are strong individuals and are so graceful on the pole
