Hi Tobias... just completed the Fast Footwork 15 mins. I'm on my way back into the game after a 10 year lay-off. Your exercises are fantastic for getting the feet and muscles used to on-court situations. It's strange that my brain knows what level I used to play at (aged 20-30s) but now my body won't respond accordingly (now in my 50s). All good though... I'm just taking it very slowly step by step. Many thanks and best wishes from Sydney.
05:25 Side In out both feet. 07:16 Diagonal to diagonal both feet. 09:23 Jump Forward and backward both feet. 12:16 Step Over Variation of first but feet not together. First Right and then left. 14:21 Step Over Variation of third but feet not together. First forward and then backward. 16:31 Diagonal Base Diagonal. Variation of second exercise. Thanks a lot. I keep revisiting your videos for more understanding 🙂.
Nice video! I just had a sprained ankle, not too seriously thankfully, playing against much stronger opponents. Probably this type of exercise is the most important to prevent sprained ankles. I need to start doing those as the more intense the game you end up running around the court much faster and it is quite important to be very stable.
Wow , Assam , wonderful . I like this exercise . And I don't believe this exercise my eyes first time , WOW. How it possible !!! But I will try it tomorrow . Hallo brother , Good morning. I'm from INDIA and I have subscribe your channel now . THANK you LOVE you brother .
Thanks for those great and efficient exercises Tobias ! Especially for keeping a good shape and preparing ourselves once badminton court will open again :)
Very useful video, tq very much 😁.. im very good at going forward to the net but slower when going to the baseline, hope to get better at it.. btw im super dan fans too.. ☺️
hey tobias, I have been following your videos recently; they were very useful for me as a beginner. But I have been wondering what timer are you using? Best regards
I really like your channel air my self can’t afford for coaching this your videos really help full. Can your suggest how many times in a week do you recommend this exercises for intermediate player in a week
Hi Lidia! Of course I remember you and also saw your name when I was looking up some tournamentresults =) I hope you are doing well despite the difficult times and let me know how you liked the workout!
@@tobiaswadenka8435 I've just tried it and it warms you up in just few minutes👍🏻 I'm going to check and try also your weekly programs on Ig, very cool idea! I haven't been able to train properly on court for over a year now, so at least I do it at home. Hope you are good too! Keep going with these videos 👏
Bro how to avoid net while hitting drop shots.? Also how to handle drop shots and also going back to the back court to hit smash..??. How to hit powerful smash.?
Sir.. I was hoping if you can talk about.. Or do a vid if possible.. About how to prepare for a big match mentally.. What should be going in my mind before and during the match.... Btw.. Love your videos and really admire that you keep posting videos even during a pandemic :)
Thank you so much! Have you already seen my video on mental toughness: ua-cam.com/video/YSuIFChvH4Y/v-deo.html Maybe that can help and besides that I have also written an article about tournament preperation: www.tobiaswadenka.com/2021/01/02/how-to-prepare-for-your-badminton-tournament/
Great routine! By the way, what are the names of each footwork? I'm planning on using this as a reference for a PE video project in school. I'll credit this channel of course!
Could you give tips for turning in the backhand rear court for overhead shots, I m very slow at that part and it costs me many points and my backhand makes me mess up the rally. Also thank you for replying before when I asked for tournament tips
I was like that before, but doing core muscle exercises helped me solved the problem along with usual footwork drills. Strengthening core muscles is like a magic bullet for improving every possible shots that you do. It gave me a lot more capabilities on the court. If you have that problem and you aren't really engaging your torso in training, i highly suggest you incorporate some of the basic exercises such as plank at all sides of your body.
@@rhythmchawla4141 10 min is pretty sick lol if you can do that much, how about strengthening your whole body using weights creatively and increasing the top speed of your footwork by harder drills if you haven't been doing so. Also you might wanna consider how you do your split-stepping to better react to the shots you're struggling with. Also, filming yourself playing is very good in finding which part of your movement needs improving. Every person has their own theory and what's best for them differs dramatically on an individual basis. So it's ok if you find nothing useful from what i said. Have a good day!

I think this is totally normal after such a long break. But I am sure you will see that your muscle memory will also come back fast than you think =)
