    --IMPORTANT-------------------------------------------------------------------
Please be careful with your equipment if you work out at home and check if there is enough space when you do the racketswings!
I am very lucky to have a high ceiling at home, so overheadshots are no problem. If you have not enough space above you, you can also do the overheadexercises on your knees (except the one where you give the racket between your legs) The effect will almost be the same or it can sometimes even help to focus more on the arm movement when the hip and legs cannot move.
    --GripFixer---------------------------------------------------------------------------
GREAT NEWS: In the video I said you get 10% off on GripFixer but now I even got a 15% discount code from them. Just go to gripfixer.com/ and use tobias15 to get 15% off your order.
As I already said, GripFixer is a great tool espeically if you started with a wrong basic grip, but it will also support beginners as well as coaches on learning and teaching the basic shots!

    --Additional Information------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have watched my Grip Tutorial you already know, that there are endless different variations of the grip and depending on the situation they can all be useful. Especially at the net you will probably feel, that the basic V-Grip is not always the best option and a slight adjustment with the fingers can be necessary, always depending if you hit the shuttle more in front or more besides you. Especially on the backhand you can make good use of the thumb, to play underhandclears with a very short movement, so there you can try to turn the racket a little into direction of the thumb grip.
As mentioned in the video, on court you don’t need such a huge swing, to hit the shuttle to the baseline, but in the beginning I like to start with bigger and smoother movements and doing can also be very helpful for advanced players, that do not already have the perfect technique. Even though I play for many years I didn’t learn a smooth swing so there were a lot of edges and inefficient movements in my shots so these exercises also helped me to get better in that area. I always include some of these basic swings in my warm up, to get smooth in the arm before practice.
    Service:
I didn’t talk about the service in the video, but the movement is very close to forehand underhand exercises we are doing. The major difference is, that you non dominant foot is in front and that you make the swing of the arm even bigger, so try that out if you want to work on your basic forehand service.

I love the clarity of the videos, the drills and the simple and easy explanation. Really a must watch and do for every level of players. Most of the times we all forget the basics and let big mistakes creep into our movements.

Many countrys are back in lockdown, so most of us are forced to work out at home. There are already millions of fitness workouts out there, so I think it is time for some more badminton specific sessions that can be done at home.
Are you looking for a clear structure for your training at home? On my Instagramchannel (@tobiwadenka) I will start to upload weekly session plans every Sunday for all levels of players, where I suggest different workouts for every day.

This is a very nicely collected set of simple exercises and you've done an amazing job relating the relevant skills and made them so easy to understand and perform. From my experience learning badminton from a coach, I know how many classes it takes even to explain and learn these seemingly simple movements, mostly because of the time it takes for students to understand the underlying basics. This video is absolutely indispensable for anyone learning to play badminton probably even until the intermediate level. Many many thanks. 👌✌️😃
