The best advise is to seek professional help from a physio, they'll guide you to exercises that can help strengthen your calf. (Warning, the exercises might be boring but it's helpful). My problem is as a left handed, how to change my right dominant leg into a left dominant leg. Or maybe I could use both legs in a smart way??? I'm just 71 years old, so I learn fast..
If you're a left hander, you should definitely lunch with your left leg for example. Every time in the video we show a footwork saying e.g. left-right, you need to do right-left

Try and start anticipating your opponents next shot and slightly prepare your movement to that direction.
