Thank you so much for making this. This machine has had me confused since I bought it 4 months ago but your videos have been more helpful than anything ive seen so far.
@@thegapmann5659 great question! There are no built-in timestretch features, however I've heard people say you can modulate the start time of a sample as a workaround to timestretch loops. It's supposed to be similar to a method of time stretching on the elektron digitakt but I haven't been able to get it work reliably...
you got my fav beats in general on the lofi 12 so far jay and your guides are quite helpful. thank you and im tuning in for every new vid, this device or not =]

Your best yet (beat that is 😊). Great tutorial man. Just want to say what you are doing is so appreciated. My XT12 has been collecting dust because I got frustrated with learning how to use it (I'm a newbie). But finding your tutorials is inspiring me to get back at it. Thank you so much Mr Maculate. Btw, I mean it when I said this is your best beat yet (for me). Love this kind of hazy, slightly psychedelic, beats. They are not lofi to me, but something else. Keep it up man.
@@DennisBrioso thanks for the kind words, it means a lot! If there's anything you're getting stuck on with the lofi 12, let me know! I get the best ideas for videos when people ask questions
Another saucy tutorial! thank you so much for this! I wish Sonicware would update so when you change patterns, it holds the muting grouups between patterns.
@@CaptainKazi thanks! Yeah it can be tough to remember what tracks are muted on what patterns. But it can be useful too, like on patterns where you know you want the drums or other parts muted. Try to build around it!
Nice video! I'm considering ordering this device to start learning it. In fact, I'm in doubt between this and the KOii. I want both but need to choose one :D
@@RafaelToscano thanks! Yeah that's a tough call! This device has a great project structure and file management (the screen helps a ton!). Plus tons of cool stuff like LFOs. The ko ii is a great sketchpad and very intuitive but I found it tough to create full arrangements on it. Just my opinion!
@@Jay_Maculate Thanks for the advice. Came here to say that I made the decision and just ordered the Lofi12XT :D. I will be watching all your videos about it :D
Another nice vid! Yea i do the projects the same with multiple songs in one project. But it does become a problem when do use song mode, as you have to know the pattern number (not the name you assign) to assign in song mode. Also how are you getting around...say you have a 4bar and you just want to edit the last bar? you have to wait until it loops back every time to hear what you did to that last bar, so frustrating. I just been doing 1bars and chain in song mode.
@@HellcatTheSavage thanks! Yeah 4 bar patterns can be tough. Sometimes I plan for it if I know I want something to only happen on the last bar like an open hat by making the pattern with the open hat on bar 2, then copying it out to be 4 bars long and deleting the note on bar 2. But it's hard to do that with melodic sequences like a bassline. Wish I had a better solution!
@@Jay_Maculate gotcha thx!. well hopefully they can add bar looping in a update......Side note would be nice if you could set VELOCITY SENSITIVITY to 0 by push the knob or something so you don't have to turn knob all the way down every time, just little things. :) pce
Hello. I am a new user of LOFI 12 XT, and I am interested in this point - is it possible to simultaneously change a certain parameter on all tracks? For example, a filter or the beginning of a sample. This would be very helpful for a live performance!
@@leoorloff hi! I'm not aware of a way to simultaneously change multiple track parameters, but you could automate the change on each track and have it play as part of the sequence. There is also a global filter on the mix page (press mix button, then select MFX paramter) that affects all the outputs. Very fun for live performances!
