It might sound crazy but I kind of hope Sonicware release a 'hifi' version of this unit with stereo samples and a 'normal' sample rate (44.1khz or above). I know there's the Smpletrk, but the workflow of that machine is completely different. I want the workflow of the Lofi-12 XT but with hifi samples
Yeah it’s a shame they limited it. it is a little bit annoying however it does give the unit a distinct crunch which is quite nice. Totally get what you mean though
Thank you so much! Please make more videos on the XT if possible. I’ve had mine for 4 months and it’s been collecting dust because I can’t get the hang of the workflow.
Thanks for this video. I still haven't gotten round to using my LOFI XT yet (been far too addicted to the Liven Mega Synthesis and the Liven Ambient 0). I'll get there one day (Elz-1 Play is next in the queue for my attention though).
The onboard convertor really isn't that bad or that slow. I've used it a bunch and it's fine. It just cuts longer samples at 40 sec (I think), so it's only a pain with full songs really. One shots and stuff it easily converts 🤷🏼♂
No folders either though right? I’d rather have mine organised on my card like in this vid. I read it just dumps everything you convert into one folder. Plus this made doing the pack with 140 samples a piece of cake!
@@spvidz Just want to say, I'm not bashing your video at all. It's rad to have options (I'm going to try this website your mention regardless), I'm just saying, the onboard stuff isn't as bad as people think. Lifted Noise did a good video on how the onboard conversion works - ua-cam.com/video/sOK9cp_R9Bo/v-deo.html You just have to put your files into a specific conversion folder on the card and then from there it will convert the files to your liking in-device, AND it will retain your folder structure.
I tried it and you are right it does maintain the structure which is cool. It works fine too. My only issue is that it does dump them in a new dated folder which meant I had to go back and move them to the pool folder on my computer, but thats just me being particular...:)
Haven't tried it to be honest, but I've heard its super slow and you lose the luxury of having them all in organised folders too. I think this method overall is a lot cleaner
@@spvidz OMG please!! if you can touch on side-chaining and also live performance techniques using built in FX. I know the TE KO is verygood at this, but it seems the 12 XT is a bit more limited..
Yeah I've tried it and also does the job as well. I don't like that it dumps them in a 'converted' folder in 'pool' though. I had to take out the SD card and move them on my computer. I like my files to be nice and organised. Its obviously only a minor thing...both methods work ok, I like how easy it is with the website I mentioned though :)

I'd love to see an 4X4 MPC style pads al9ng with that. Lofi12xt workflow is smoother 99% of other more "powerful" sampler/grooveboxes I've used.

Got a workflow video coming in the next few days 👌
This is HUGE, I've been looking for something to bulk convert files for my MKII, thank you so much!
Dope man, glad to show you something useful! 🙏
7:54 that's very helpful! I didn't knew that
Yeah its not easy finding that in the manual either. Its a good one to know
Thank you!
👌👍

Glad you're having fun with those! The XT is a blast as well 🔥
i have never seen this thing... neat!
It’s great!

3:35 "A few moments later..." how does this process compare with the XT's built-in conversion process?

Hi, which one do you recommend? This one or the sp404? I'm from Mexico and I have to pay 20% taxes on the sonicware, so they cost the same
Thank you!
I think the SP404-MK2 is a better all round machine with a few more useful features.
I've lost a lot of patterns on the process by selecting new pattern by mistake. this is my biggest headache on this machine😅
I’ve done that a lot too 😂
Are you planning to do a full beat tutorial on this machine? Asking for a friend 👀
Definitely will man yeah! Been meaning to do it for ages 😓

Yea website is dope, saw it on reddit a few weeks ago.
Nice 👌
Have you not tried the convertor built into the lofi12xt hardware?

You can set the device in card reader mode page 145 and access the sdcard from uour computer via usb. Havent tried this.
Don't you have a P-6? It's a great piece of gear.
Not yet no. Hoping to get one soon!
I wrote a python script that can do 6k samples in a couple minutes.
oh forgot to say. if you have trouble with the website try another browser. 🙏
Thanks for that
