I am the fifth owner and boy oh boy I wish the other 4 had seen this video. My frame rails are a mess!
Thank you so much! I have literally watched a dozen videos and this one nailed it. Straight forward!
Another very informative video, didn't know we had those jacking points too. Much safer and more convenient indeed.
You should've showed where exactly we have to put the jack stands too... For example if you jack up the rear on the rear of the frame rail, where exactly would you put the jack stands?
Wondering the same thing about the jack stand position. Great advice!
Thanks! This vid helped a ton. I was not sure where to put the jackstands :)
Good video, greatly appreciate it
Straight to the point and practically done with great shots of the jack points
It is also possible to jack up the car from the rear, and center your jack on the differential, if you have a lowered car which makes it hard to fit a jack on the sides. For the front, it's a bit harder so I'd recommend maybe just driving up on some slabs of wood to allow adequate space for the jack to get under the car.
Harbor freight low profile long reach jack 👌
Excellent, but where do you put the axles stands for back and front?
on the diff, or control arms
Wow thank you!! Your videos are great think im on my like 10th one as a new miata owner thank you tons of great info.. Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much!
@Miata Man where are the axle stand points? Could you show us? Thanks!
thanks so much
How about a shot of the overall car for orientation?
Can you ahow how to replace rear subframe for a NB miata? Mines tore up and need to replace it
Where do you put the Jack stands on 2017 mx5 club
Why not use the rear diff and front cross frame as lift points….solid as a rock, then place your jack stands where you placed the hydraulic jack for security? That way you’re lifting two wheels off at a time….both front wheels (front cross frame) and both rear wheels (rear diff)
rear diff yeah, but the front cross frame is quite far in, so unless you have a low profile jack and have your car situated on some wooden slabs to lift it a bit, you'll have a hard time reaching it.
R.I.P. my driver side floorboard. 💀
Thanks for the guide
Yea same lol
Can you use the frame rails when using a 2 post lift?
Not that the rockers or pinch welds are rusty but I prefer to avoid damaging them
Yes. Just be sure to put the pucks under the reinforced ends of the frame rails.
Frame rail is mint compared to mine lol
Hi - would this be same/similar for a 2009 NC?
I can’t remember exactly what the NC looks like underneath, but it should be very similar.
Same on an ND?
How's the training of the Circus Cat coming along ? Will we be seeing it in the opening segment soon ?
The circus 🎪 🐈 cat has been untrainable so far.
Where do you position your jack stands? Same spots as the floor jack?
David Abrameto I positioned the jack stand under the front sub frame.
How do you use the jack thst comes with the car
I’ll make a video for you on that.
is it the same for an NA?
Yes 👍
I don't like scissor jacks either, even though the car came with one.
I only have a hydraulic lift and a dream… no jackstands
I would not recommend using a single jackstand as appears to be the case in this video.
*Touches car*
WHOLE RAIL MOVES WITH RUST
Think he placed the axel on the wish bones
The axle stand is actually on the subframe.
@@MiataMan at the beginning of the clip it doesn't look like the axel stand is touching anything. Was it resting on the subframe then? I really need to know where to position axel stands on the rear too please!
bruh my passenger side frame rails are caved in so fucking bad
All that undercoating. RIP miata. Will be rusted out in a decade.
Please don't undercoat your cars people!
Why? Doesn't it protect it from rust isn't that the whole idea?
