- This Project is a DON'T Miss! It is the official start of the PA-16 Piper Clipper project with several upgrades. Aside from restoring the wings, it will get an almost 100% increase in power, fly slower wings modifications and an amazing ground adjustable propeller.

Those pistons really don't look that bad. WOuld have liked to see cylinder bore. FUN project! I've had my Cub engine apart several times, and finally just thru in the towel and went with new Superior Air Parts Millenium cylinders. Good break in - uses 1/2 qt every 25 hours.
The cylinders looked pretty good as well… Yeah, I should have shown some quick views of them. 😑 I have 4 new superior cylinders for the O-320 build.
If you have any name suggestions for the Clipper, I'm considering any ideas. It will be STOL like when completed... Hopefully this Fall.
The local old guys at my airport call my clipper “the clown plane” cause with the 29”tires it look like clown shoes according to them 🤷🏻♂️.
you could go with World war II nose art style, and name her mile High Mistress?
Why didn't you take it around the patch to warm it up?
