I always cut a hole to replace in tank fuel pumps, bmw and a few others makes come with a access plate factory. why make a easy job harder than it has to be?
Nope.. no problems at all . One side supported on the frame really close anyway.. that area is under where crossbed tool box goes . But plenty strong anyway. i cut everyone of them that need tank unit worked on . Even if their not mine.
