    Great content and thanks for the idea I was skeptical about doing this but it beats having to deal with removing more then you have too plus like you said if you have to do it again

    I know you are usually very detailed and particular about your Camaro and correct me if I missed it but did you forget to treat the metal with a rust inhibitor before installing the door? I mean it's probably still possible to do with the door open but would have been a lot easier to do a thorough coating beforehand. Otherwise it's an awesome step by step instructional!

      I guess I was having an off day and didn't think about it. Yes, some paint or other rust inhibitor wouldve been a good idea along the edge that I cut with the shear. Even though the car doesn't see rain, the moisture in the air will eventually rust the edge. Next time I'm in there, I'll give it a look. I can still get to the edge easily enough. Thanks Dave for the heads up.

    Question and a comment-
    You can easily control drill bit depth by slipping hose over the bit, leaving however much you want exposed.
    What fuel system parts are you using?

    Have you had to remove the pump bucket since you put the access door on? i installed my door for my upcoming fore install, i was curious if the bucket clears the tab that sticks inward on the door where the latch goes?

    • @fasnuf
      @fasnuf  4 місяці тому

      I've removed it 3 times since the install. It's a tight fit but easily manageable. Thanks for watching

      What wires did you tap for your fuel level sensor ? Do any of your videos cover that portion ? The instructions said the wires are not polarity sensitive

    instead of drilling, you couldve just easily used JB weld or something similiar, cutting that hole is risky enough, no way id try drilling

    What is the distance from the lowest part of the fuel pump hat to the metal above it? Is there at least 2 inches clearance? Tks...

    • @fasnuf
      @fasnuf  11 місяців тому +1

      I never measured that but it'll be close to 2" from the bottom of the hat to the top of the fuel door.
