Obviously this looks good but you get immense points for doing this by hand. That's a lot of hard work and in my opinion makes it much more impressive and much more rewarding.
You've an impeccable eye for creating natural environments. I know your parents love you and you love them. Back breaking work made beautiful and serene.
You are a Genious, Travis! The most wholehearted Stonewater Artist I have seen. So beautiful! So much love for nature! I wish you great success and a happyhappy creative future!
This is gorgeous! So many things to look at. Love how it goes through the stairs. Brings back a bittersweet memory for me.. My husband and I built one beside the stairs on a hill similar to this at his sister's house (probably 15 or so years ago). It was the biggest one we have done. Went into a big pond at the bottom. They had to sell the house, and the next owners dug the hill out and filled it in. I shed a tear over that. I'm in the process of digging ours up and rebuilding, I'm very inspired by this!
Thank you so much! Thats such a bummer. I'm sorry yours got destroyed. Thats cool you're getting a fresh start on a new one though! let me know how it goes.
You are a deep and creative thinker with an amazing imagination. I love, love, love it. Your fearlessness and strength leaves me awestruck. Blessings, PAM
You didn't take away from the natural beauty and it blends so well with all the bits inner mixing. You killed it man! 😀 I'm starting on my parents front yard, equally in size, so the biggest ill have done even at all landscaping jobs I've had. Its exciting, especially when you've seen the same bare yard your whole life.
Thanks! I really wanted it to blend with the enviroment. Yea I love starting with a relatively blank slate and making something pretty out of it. good luck on yours!
What a beautiful way to transform those ugly acidic banks under the evergreens where NOTHING will grow. This looks so natural and lovely. Most waterfalls look fake. This one blends right into the natural surroundings. Good job! People would pay a lot of money for you to do that in Washington's back yards--they all look like the "before" picture. :)
The amount of hard work that went into this is deserving of like, more over, the fact that you could envision it and build it, to me, means more. Very impressive.
As and avid hiker, I gotta say kudos. It looks so natural. That algae, the moss both in the right natural places BECAUSE you did it so well. If you did a film without showing the RR tie steps, it would look straight out of the forest.
that's what I was going for! Glad you appreciate it. I only included the rr tie steps because they were already there. It was part of the challenge, working around them.
Oh yes, this one of the best I have ever seen, I think it is so natural looking! Fun to see you building it. Can I send you a picture of my place,I hope too build one? Happy to pay for your thorough.
Great work!!! Look up bog or wetland filters and intake bays or skimmers and you can make your pond water crystal clear and add some fish... You have a talent for this!!!
thats alot of hard work there. suggestion..... get yourself a demolition hammer (what most will think is a jackhammer) with a spade bit. makes all that digging so much easier
I did landscaping installs (including the occasional waterfall) for about 4 years. Ive recently picked it back up again for a season with my old boss because my dad's family business (where i was working) burned down but thats a long story. Videos about that on my channel :)
I've been a subscriber for about 1 month. And so now you go from building a small stream/pond in your yard to building a hollowed tree waterfall, to building a cascading tropical looking waterfall. Just a suggestion but a few "majestic palms" would look good on the waterfall.
That would be cool. I was going for a rainforest look like the PNW coastline and redwoods. We live in Oregon and my parents have several redwoods in their yard and a lot of big pine trees on their property. The moss really ties the feature in to the surrounding because I pulled it straight from behind their house!
Great work! Quantum jump compared to the stream you built at your own house! Can you please add some info on the pump you used. and what's the estimated volume of water in the pond? Thanks.
That’s amazing and a lot of work too! I only wish I had your imagination and skills. Probably the equipment and money too? LOL But your doing what I have always dreamed of doing myself on my own property. Mine will more then likely never happen though, since I’m up their in age and have health issues that keep me from doing the things I could of done in my younger years. So guess I’ll just have to keep dreaming about mine being done! Sure your parents absolutely love all your hard work and efforts you put in for them! I’m so jealous! But keep sharing your videos for everyone to enjoy!
This was incredibly cool. I'm trying to figure out how to build a really small water feature in our yard, saw another of your videos and couldn't help but click this. We have a pretty small yard in a new build house. We have a wedge shaped yard with a short backyard but a large side yard, and in the corner we're building a campfire area with a few trees around it (quaking aspens, a blues spruce, a crimson king red maple). We will be putting 3 aspens in a corner that's about a 6x6 area and I'm wanting to put a small water feature there. I don't like basically any premade fountain, I want to do something that looks like it could be a small spring with a little pool at the bottom. But I don't know if I'll be able to make it work.
@@travisjantzer I pieced together a bunch of advice from all your water feature videos and made this: photos.app.goo.gl/Zf9nD1cErkVcZQG97 It's a little bigger than we initially thought it would be, but we like how it turned out.
Beautiful work! Curious what those concrete arched forms are called that you used for the water to pour over. I would like to get one for a project I am working on.
The forgotten art of hard work applies here. Congrats, it turned out really well
Obviously this looks good but you get immense points for doing this by hand. That's a lot of hard work and in my opinion makes it much more impressive and much more rewarding.
This is the biggest labor of love I've ever seen. It's beautiful and what an amazing gift to your parents.
thanks!
You've an impeccable eye for creating natural environments. I know your parents love you and you love them. Back breaking work made beautiful and serene.

You should put a pond on top of the hill were the water is coming from that will catch the rainfall

Love the videos man, you're doing great work. I plan on making my own water feature when I move into my house, you've definitely been an inspiration.
