  • Similar to the other Continental we did last year, this '63 got Choppin' Block "stage 2" front and rear kits, a Air Lift Performance 3H control system with height sensors, and a Ford 9" rear axle swapped in for better gearing.
We took care of a couple maintenance issues while we had the car, such as motor mounts and a disc brake upgrade, but this one was already super nice when it was delivered to us.
I designed some brackets to mount the air management system on each side of the trunk, leaving the main cargo area available- these cars don't have a whole lot of trunk in spite of their size, so it's good to take up as little as possible.
If you have questions about your own air ride project, feel free to reach out here in the comments, or visit our site at www.twistedimages.com - I'd love to discuss your vehicle and help get you into the right system!

You do beautiful work. That Continental is so clean and rust free, an excellent car for your handiwork. Bravo!

Definitely one of the nicest I’ve gotten to work on- a couple of small rust repairs underneath but they were done very well, and it drove sooo nicely

what modifications do you do to the front spring "buckets" to get the bags to fit without rubbing?

There is a piece of metal welded to the outside of the spring pocket that wraps around to the inside- I believe it’s a stop for the upper control arm to limit droop travel. We cut that off and grind it flush, and that’s it- the 7” Slam Specialties air bag fits with no other modifications. We go in-depth a bit more in our other Lincoln video if you want to see more; I’ll post the link!

how much do you charge for bagging and brakinga a 64 lincoln?

Total cost varies a bit, depending on exactly which air management system and brake kit you go with. But labor can range from around $3500 to over $5000 for the extra-fancy stuff. Feel free to reach out and we can discuss details to nail down a price!
