With the transparency issues you were talking about at the beginning when using an emission shader, couldn't you use the multiply blending mode with a mixRGB node? (If rendered on pure black)
I tried this recently and it did the opposite strangely enough. The smoke sim is normal frames and the image sequence drops frames. I don't understand why though.
I used this technique and duplicated my video 20 times to spread around the scene to make the effect look more full. When I render the first 1-2 clips in the animation, it renders at a normal speed. But then it will get stuck at “initializing”. I am using a 3090. I was wondering if I’m simply not supposed to duplicate the video asset that many times. Anyone have this issue before?
