Purchased a Bernina L890 serger a year ago, felt totally intimidated, and have been searching for a video such as this since then. This is most helpful! THANKS!
Şok very very thanks👏💐 Türkiye den selamlar anlatımınz öğretmeniz harika bizi bilgilendirmeye devam edin kanalınızın büyümesi temennisiyle💐dil seçeneklerinin çokluğu mükemmel bravo 💐🤚
Thank you! In terms of the language options, I do offer Italian language for subtitles, with some proofreading help from an Italian friend who also subscribes to the channel. Other languages are auto-translations from UA-cam.
You mean there's a zippered vent at the sleeve opening? Answer is likely yes, but it would involve a bit of surgery to shorten the zippers, and to rehem/refinish the sleeve with that zipper almost certainly cannot be done with a serger.
Can you find one for less on the used marketplace? In my in-person serger classes, people ask me if I will teach coverstitch, so in my opinion no video on hemming with the serger is complete without it. But in this video I also wanted to show that even if all you have is a basic serger, you still have alternatives. (Most of the demos in this video were done on the Brother 1034D, an entry-level serger).
@LineOfSelvage no, no second hand options because i live in a remote area. Coverstitch are generally only owned by folks who do commercial sewing. They sell for $1800-3500 here. Thanks, Ive used an overlocker for 25 years and know the options
Thank you for the tips, for sure. I would have liked to "like" the video, except, #1: the video itself is a little too fast, #2: the narrating is also fast; #3: the music is simply too loud and competing with your voice. Now, I know I can slow down the speed myself - so I have a solution there... but lowering the volume prevents hearing your instructions. However, I will work with it for now by pausing and restarting. Thank you again.
Sorry you find the music a bit overwhelming! I will work to mute the music track a bit more in upcoming videos. The video does have an English-language subtitle track that tracks the spoken word near 100%; perhaps that would be a solution for you?

Thank you
How about how to hem on a smooth fleece zippered jacket at the arms that was ready made. Can it still be done?? The sleeves are too long on me.

How to hem short band
I'm sorry, I don't follow. Could you give a few more details?
Coverstitch machines are insanely expensive here for a single-function machine
