If you think an executive of the band's label made the call to use sexy dancers and increase viewership, you're misguided. 12FN clearly appreciates dancing or motion; they effectively say as much during the break in this video.. Personally, I love it. It's original and hot as hell. If you can't see any sense in having them in the music video other than to make money, I can't help you. Peace
+Divinasion my Father was a band manager when I was younger in Australia (where TFN are from) it 100% is the label making these decisions.. I remember one of the bands he managed having some shoehorned in similar things for a video they made.
I love how this band doesn't have distortion and heavy beats going on the entire song. Most metal bands go 100% the whole song and leave me desensitized. I feel more excited whenever the chorus comes up in this song because this band has heard of dynamics. yippee!
+mobiusII There is something oddly seductive and hypnotizing about her. The other dancers too, but her especially. I seriously tried not to notice, but I'm not even horny, I just feel oddly...good.
My man found you guys after releasing over and out. We have been blasting your guys albums almost EVERYDAY.... My 5 year old loves invincible and goes around the house singing "pull me down pick me up will it ever be enough..... Pull me down pick me up i convinced myself i was invincible... Invincible" lol actually was singing it as she was falling asleep lastnight ❤❤❤ yall deserve more recognition!!!
Let me tell you something. Not only is Mother Sky one of the best songs i've heard in quite some time, but i'm also very impressed with the music video. Everything just fits, and compliments each other very well. I've easily added 500 views to this just between my wife and 2 children. My 18 month old girl LOVES this song, and always dances during the chorus with the girls dancing. Simply put, I love this tune.
+DarkestofTimes Why not all three ... preferably all at the same time but the more conservative approach of completing each task before commencing the next one is okay too
Twelve Foot Ninja are the best live! Their energy while performing really pumps the crowd! And the moshing turns cool when the reggae parts come. Had a blast with this guys a few months ago in my city. Come back soon to San Diego TFN!
Likewise sir just now randomly found them by chance. They are the most faith no more/ any Mike Patton project clone I have ever heard in my life but goddammit they fucking kill it! They are too good like I want to be annoyed but how exact their production, song structure, vocals, variety of musical genres dabbled in in one song it's textbook Patton like I want to know what he thinks of them or if he would just play coy because it's just him in a body suit and a mask or some really realistic CGI effects. All I know is it is one thing to "rip off" a style. And that would imply disrespect to these boys. Quite the opposite. I have nothing but admiration, facination, bewilderment, disbelief, and maybe just maybe some inspiration, but more likely intimidation. There is something incredibly special, genius, abnormal, ( in a good way) almost not even human, to be able to channel your inflences and make something so spot on as amazing and diverse as the teacher you were taught by. But and this is a big but...... Only when that influence/ teacher/ inspiration, is Mr. Mike Patton. Unfuckingbelievable. I am impressed. Seriously.
Every once in a while, there will always be a band to carry FAITH NO MORE's torch: The voice, the imporrtance of bass guitar, the craziness, the genre-mixing
Dude, i just binged watchd all your music videos as if it was a netflix stravaganza! So funny, I was hooked until the last one. PLEASE MAKE MORE MUSIC! I love the genre flips!
I sit still and silent For a moment In the light of the act If I clear my mind I am rising beyond all space and time Nothing that I have to do to be who I am, yeah [Chorus:] Now I release to the mother sky All I have to transmute this illusion I lost my grip, but I have you now How can this be? I have become my enemy Whoa, oh I lost my grip, but I have you now How can this be? I become my enemy I repair the shattered diamond To its wholeness With these blood-stained hands Just as I designed I am rising beyond all space and time Nothing that I have to do to be who I am, yeah [Chorus] Will you see the black of the eye Separated from the white If the enemy has shrouded the eye One must prepare to die
12FN is probably one of the best bands I have found in the last ten years...thats no joke. So much badass in everything they write....simply amazing. Its such a breath of fresh air. Being truly unique and still being digestible is a rare commodity in todays music scene.Genre mixin so seamlessly and still having a great hook...speechless. I cant wait to see you all in the states someday soon. Keep up the great work guys,,,
Thanks for coming to Utah and playing a killer show with Periphery! If you guys weren't too sick from being the right way up ;) please come back and play again.
I'm so happy these guys came up in my recommended list. I didn't click them for a couple days then finally decided to. I love them at this point. I love their comedic music videos and their mixed music style. Their music is gorgeous, and they're from the same country as me!
Got a picture with the singer at Welcome To Rockville yesterday. Their performance was awesome, and this was actually the introduction song when they first started playing.
I only discovered these guys only a few months ago and they're amazing! The first song I heard was "One Hand Killing" and since then I've been hooked! There's a groove to their music that I've not heard in quite some time. Very unique sound. 🤟
I have listened to this song daily for the past month. My buddy showed me it a while ago but it just clicked for me recently. I love it. You guys are insanely talented. Keep it up. Next time you come near Arizona I'll be there.
You guys are one of my new favorite bands of all time. I love how you guys hit so many different genres and do it flawlessly. I will see you guys Oct. 29th in Seattle. I can't wait for it. You're guys' music videos and personalities are the best! TFN IS THE SHIZZZNIT! >:D
Yup! I discovered them in elementary school around 10 years ago😅 Good ol UA-cam. It was this song in particular too. Sad to hear they disbanded but happy I discovered their music.
Got to meet these guys at Rocklahoma! Not only was their performance one of the highlights but they were some of the nicest dudes i've ever met, definitely one of my favorite bands now.
I love this song. Lyrics, arrangement, melody, everything. I'm not sure what the significance is of the DOTD-faced dancers (though they are REALLY good); I'm guessing four horsemen of the apocalypse or something, but I'm a little slow, admittedly, when it comes to artistic interpretation. :) Love the comedic dialog scene as well. Please don't stop making music, TFN.
I'm so glad Twelve Foot Ninja is becoming popular. I came across this band back when their highest viewed video was only a couple thousand. When I first heard them, I instantly went to ITunes and bought the full album. I've yet to find a band that sounds anything like them.
Agreed ! Im a big metalhead , but as soon as i heard this it blew me away . Great singer , incredible sound , and funny . Love how they switch it up \m/
I seen you guys last night (Milwaukee Metalfest) and honestly you guys were one of the best bands that played. Definitely will be seeing you guys again!
Where the proof that backs up the idea that the world is screwed because people are illiterate when people with Actual disabilities are probably doing better then you. You shouldn't point fingers ... its rude.
To truly experience how killer this band is you have to see them live. I enjoy the videos, please don't mistake that but watching them perform in person will change your life.
the Patton influence is awesome. just stumbled across this band like last night. oohhh I likkeey!!! likkeey alloot!!! fuckn krykee mate. blow'n me brains out.
YES!!! I'm glad someone noticed Mike's influence or at least a possible influence. After watching 2 vids I did notice a Faith No More influence. Not to mention a possible Dog Fashion Disco influence, too. Their vids add a valuable touch to their music. they seem to be very visual as well as musical heavily aided band.
Come tour the u.s. plz. You guys are my favorite band and wish to see you during my teen years. If you do, please come to chicago illinois. You know after all this covid-19 bull is over. Your guys music actually helped me through my rough times. You guys are honestly great 👍❤
Simply poetic, mezmerizing movements. Wow. Positively blown away visually, also being that i hear the movements with the ears of mine heart, Mrs. Samsara, thou art skilled with the likes of what i would call to be my female spirit twin. I can only imagine. However i lost her. My hope and faith was not enough to save us. It was time to say goodbye. Such a beautiful thing to entwine combine and intermesh our essences. Except i loved her but she hated me. I just believed it was love. I had never seen that side of her. I am glad i didnt blow her brains out though.
I met you all at your concert in Berlin, Germany, back in 2013, I remember it like it was just a week ago, me and my friend were backstage with you, drinking a beer... And I can't believe, it's such a long time ago. Good old times. And you guys are still crazy as hell :D Love it! I hope to see you again in germany when the pandemic is finaly over. Greetings from Berlin - Sunny!
It totally blows me away that this band can produce such amazing music and videos independent of the music production industrial complex who would otherwise focus group test, demographic target, and censor their work into more of the same trivial crap foisted on our ears by a largely corrupt mainstream recording industry. Everything TFN does is musically and visually perfect and exceeds all expectations for production value. AWESOME TRACK!!!
This really does remind me of me bungle, Devin Townsend, or frank zappa. To a certain degree of course, but, with it's own kickass twist! I love this you guys, I love it!!! Thank you TWELVE FOOT NINJA!
GF: Your music can't be danced. No one can dance with that kind of music... Me: I'm winning this one, thank you Twelve Foot Ninja. Cant get enough of this.
I like it!
Matteo El Distolero same man, how tf
I still like it !
Damn I wish I found you guys earlier
Samsies 🥰
@Matteo El Distolero for real though
this band deserves so much more attention.
For the love of god yes.
This band is the very reason I gave djent a chance. Ever. This music is miraculous. Ok have to say Shuriken is one my too faves.
I also concur
Agreed
Research on them is like a deep dive in conspiracy. I've read they are a dance team with one of them a cousin of one of the band members. so crazy.
They're kick arse dancers
But who are they? Are they on social so we can support them?
I have seen this video over 30 times now and I still believe there is nothing on that bread.
me either. I'm with you
+kieran robinson I believe Elwood Blues would call that a wish sandwich.
+kieran robinson
thats funny shit, the empty bread jumped out at me like a fucking neon light when i saw it.
hey its a bread sandwich, nothing wrong with that ;D
I never noticed it until just now, like the 8th time I've watched this, and then sure enough I saw this comment.
Plz Twelve Foot Ninja, bring these dancers on tour with you !!!!!!! You need them on stage, WE need them on stage !
Christ this is good!!
They have been busy!
lmao, i see what you did there. 👀 👓🔬🔭
How busy?
You've been bloody busy havent you?
nah m8 ive been as busy as a cat
Busy as a cat burying shit...on concrete.
All jokes aside, metal music with those dancers is cool as hell and it actually fits really really well for some weird reason.
they were hamfisted in by some studio exec.. they made no sense at all.
Director/Producer: Steve Mackay (guitarist)
Unless they paid for the whole thing, they didn't get 100% control.
I love how this band doesn't have distortion and heavy beats going on the entire song. Most metal bands go 100% the whole song and leave me desensitized. I feel more excited whenever the chorus comes up in this song because this band has heard of dynamics. yippee!
Incorporated melody with those riffs
I dont care i discovered this 8 years late I dont care that im behind the times F you all im here now. Now im inspired to transcend this sound
fuck you back mate. welcome!
I’m with Riff Raff
I found them by looking for some other stuff about 5 years ago
I make a lil music myself on my channel under song collection
Better late then never young Jedi!
I am obsessed with the short dancer in front. And the song is ridiculously good.
+mobiusII There is something oddly seductive and hypnotizing about her. The other dancers too, but her especially. I seriously tried not to notice, but I'm not even horny, I just feel oddly...good.
+mobiusII lol me fuckin too man!
+mobiusII Ugh, yeah... why do you think she was cast as the lead?
I'm glad I'm not the only one... She actually has some kind of thing about here which mesmerises me every time haha
It's her seductive dance... and well pretty much everything
Love this band. Dude makes singing Heavy Metal chorus parts in the shower, great and fun again.
What have they been up to lately? Have they been watching the bloody grass grow?! A bit of watching the paint dry?!?
their making a new album
they’ve been busier than squidward tentacles on a casting couch
Theyre busier than a cat.... a cat burying shit on concrete
Let me tell you something. Not only is Mother Sky one of the best songs i've heard in quite some time, but i'm also very impressed with the music video. These guys have the best music videos. Every time I watch one I'm not sure whether to cry laughing, get a massive erection, or eat some pizza rolls.
+DarkestofTimes Why not all three ... preferably all at the same time but the more conservative approach of completing each task before commencing the next one is okay too
Rob Theeuwes I mean I'm sure the pizza rolls would help with number 2, and then I just have the watch the video while I'm active, all set...thanks.
+DarkestofTimes in case of doubt - always eat pizza (c)
+casperado666 true ... and C4
+DarkestofTimes I ll take the erection
Twelve Foot Ninja are the best live! Their energy while performing really pumps the crowd! And the moshing turns cool when the reggae parts come. Had a blast with this guys a few months ago in my city. Come back soon to San Diego TFN!
Never did I think that it was possible to dance that gracefully to a nice, chuggalicious intro breakdown. 10/10
Faith No More were considered gods in Australia during the second half of the 90's. And this video shows how big their influence was.
I've seen them cite Mr. Bungle more so than FNM
Interesting fact and you can definitely hear the influence.
FNM and Mr B are both Mike Patton bands, so it doesnt matter, the influence of Patton is clear in their sound, and I love it ^^
I hear faith no more, shinedown (from the vocals) sevendust karnivool
Sick
My god that chorus gives me some hardcore chills. Amazing!!
98% better than what is playing on the radio here in the US!!! Clean vocals, amazing instrumentals and great lyrics!!!
Why am I only hearing these now there feckin brilliant
Likewise sir just now randomly found them by chance. They are the most faith no more/ any Mike Patton project clone I have ever heard in my life but goddammit they fucking kill it! I have been struggling to find music I can really get into lately and finding you guys has really changed that. This video is amazing as well!
The silent ones (like me) love your creativity and imagination in these video's guys. Please don't fade away!
Dude, i just binged watchd all your music videos as if it was a netflix stravaganza! So funny, I was hooked until the last one. PLEASE MAKE MORE MUSIC! I love the genre flips!
I sit still and silent
For a moment
In the light of the act
If I clear my mind
I am rising beyond all space and time
Nothing that I have to do to be who I am, yeah
[Chorus:]
Now I release to the mother sky
All I have to transmute this illusion
I lost my grip, but I have you now
How can this be? I have become my enemy
Whoa, oh
I lost my grip, but I have you now
How can this be?
I become my enemy
I repair the shattered diamond
To its wholeness
With these blood-stained hands
Just as I designed
I am rising beyond all space and time
Nothing that I have to do to be who I am, yeah
[Chorus]
Will you see the black of the eye
Separated from the white
If the enemy has shrouded the eye
One must prepare to die
the way those girls move their bodies is just too damn beautiful
blopa blopex It`s in the hair.
***** And a little in the butt. But yeah, mostly the hair.
o3ix Ask first before, even a little, in the butt.
+blopa blopex It's called dancing :v
+Ricardo Melo and its hot.
12FN is probably one of the best bands I have found in the last ten years...thats no joke. So much badass in everything they write....simply amazing. Its such a breath of fresh air. The part where they are all running to meet up, the face on the guy eating the burger is priceless LOL
Thanks for coming to Utah and playing a killer show with Periphery! If you guys weren't too sick from being the right way up ;) please come back and play again.
this band is so damn good wow. how do they not have a larger fan base!?
I got to the party yesterday! Am I late?
Sigmund Huesitos I feel so ripped off I just heard of these guys too!
Killa Kortex ... I'm late, let's make it soooo much bigger
The drummer is my drum teacher B)
I'm so happy these guys came up in my recommended list. I didn't click them for a couple days then finally decided to. I love them at this point. I love their comedic music videos and their mixed music style. Their music is gorgeous, and they're from the same country as me!
they are the dancers to a discordant system lol
what an epic response!
Meshuggah reference win 😂
s
Shuggy FTW
A disillusion in a discordant system
I'm late to the party. But every vid you guys make has me laughing like I'm high, while at the same time the music is *insanely* good. Y'all rock!
Saw these guys on the Rock on the Range 2014 lineup. I have been youtubeing all the bands I havent heard of. I'm now soo stoked to see them there!
Nice. I like their choreography and that effect with the music? Very nice! Random Facebook person recommended. I am pleased. 🙃💯
I like this band so much that I looked up and learned the names of the musicians. Haven't done that since Children of Bodom in 2006.
FNM/Mr.Bungle were the 90’s...it’s now 2019...we need this 😃
I love a band that is so good and refuses to take themselves seriously. Fahkin incredible.!!!!!!!
WELCOME! You'll find yourself staying quite busy
Busier than a cat, even.
They are fucking amazing live!!!
April Vengeance can't wait to see them next month!!
I totally forgot about this band and now it’s on repeat
I have listened to this song daily for the past month. My buddy showed me it a while ago but it just clicked for me recently. I love it. You guys are insanely talented. Keep it up. Next time you come near Arizona I'll be there.
yep
This stuff is awesome. Best music I've heard in a long time. Props from the US.
you guys sound so much like faith no more /mr.bungle, and you add everything i wish they had added into their music so i want to say thank you
You guys are one of my new favorite bands of all time. I love how you guys hit so many different genres and do it flawlessly. I will see you guys Oct. 29th in Seattle. I can't wait for it. You're guys' music videos and personalities are the best! TFN IS THE SHIZZZNIT! >:D
The intro has a Mastodon influence and that's a good thing. These guys have knocked it out of the park with this album.
Finally a music video with great music and female dancers who look damn good with the choreography
Anyone still here in 2024??
From ND in Nov. of 2024
Best choreography in a video. Those girls can dance
Yo From TX in Nov. of 2024
Yup! I discovered them in elementary school around 10 years ago😅 Good ol UA-cam. It was this song in particular too. Sad to hear they disbanded but happy I discovered their music.
Still here….still in love with the short girl….
They have a really solid drummer
Omair Sheikh atomship-aliens AND mothra..life changing good lol
Band*
This band makes me want to listen to Incubus, Sevendust, RA and Frank Sinatra. Can’t beat that combo
Someone else knows Ra?!?! Oh my god. I love this. Supernova SLAPS and Ra is such a good comparison. another severely underrated band.
They have major Faith No more vibes/Michael Patton
The singer sounds like he is trying to sound like Patton, and I am not saying that's a bad thing.
mesmerizing in all kinds of ways..them dancers..
Got to meet these guys at Rocklahoma! Not only was their performance one of the highlights but they were some of the nicest dudes i've ever met, definitely one of my favorite bands now.
Man those girls are fucking mesmerizing
You should check out Faith No More, then.
Jack G
Or even better (imo) Peeping Tom for that matter
Also Fantomas, in fact just look up Mike Patton and check out anything he's worked on.
If you like this, then check out Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Dog Fashion Disco, Knives Out, Polkadot Cadaver, and El Creepo just to name a few.
Thanks! I reckon we'll be there this year ;-)
Watching some recent videos and then watching one which is 10 years old shows how much you guys changed - looks wise - the humour is still spot on.
Got a real Faith No More buzz off the verse, excellent stuff
thats exactly what i thought
justin Lempin They're so good
Agreed ! Im a big metalhead , but as soon as i heard this it blew me away . Great singer , incredible sound , and funny . Love how they switch it up \m/
justin Lempin Definitely, they're a breath of fresh air, especially the vocalist.
RIght! Just a great sound all around
I wake up every day and hope for new music by y’all. Hope y’all been busy mates.
Still listen to it to this day great song
It's been 8 years since I saw this, and those dancers are still magical. wow
I seen you guys last night (Milwaukee Metalfest) and honestly you guys were one of the best bands that played. Definitely will be seeing you guys again!
I saw you guys*
Preston Van Buren no just no. Seen is a past participle It is still correct.
Chill your fucking beans mate, I couldn't give to shits if I was ILLITERATE.
People like you are the reason youtube sucks.
Tom Martin And illiterate people are the reason the world is filled with non genetic retardation.
Where the proof that backs up the idea that
the world is screwed because people are illiterate when people with Actual disabilities are probably doing better then you. You shouldn't point fingers ... its rude.
I love the guy's face when he flips over a woman tying her shoelaces 😂 he's like "W.T.F!?"
it's absolutely bonkers how well every element of this band complements the whole. I'm so damn annoyed that I realized how great they are this late.
yeah, me too, I discovered them when they had already broken up
Such a new sound to me, I too wish I had found them sooner. The humor in the videos a very funny as well
If it makes you feel better.. I'm jealous.
Excellent music guys! Another fantastic international grade Australian band. Love from New Zealand.
To truly experience how killer this band is you have to see them live. I enjoy the videos, please don't mistake that but watching them perform in person will change your life.
Thank You Chris Broderick ! Awesome song !
Came here as well because of his 'hint'
Awesome guys. Reminds me a lot of Faith No More. Good progression.
the dancing girlz are pretty righteous!
the Patton influence is awesome. just stumbled across this band like last night. oohhh I likkeey!!! likkeey alloot!!! fuckn krykee mate. blow'n me brains out.

Kick ass show last night in Beaumont, 12 Foot Ninja and 10 Years hands down my favorite show
Come tour the u.s. plz. You guys are my favorite band and wish to see you during my teen years. If you do, please come to chicago illinois. You know after all this covid-19 bull is over. Your guys music actually helped me through my rough times. You guys are honestly great 👍❤
definitely Faith No More or Mike Patton influence with this bands sound and i love it.
The bass parts in this song are LEGENDARY! I'm so disappointed this band might never make new music. Truly one of a kind!
totally, bass is amazing
These girls dancing are hypnotizing
Small dancer in front makes an impression, damn!
Simply poetic, mezmerizing movements. Wow. Positively blown away visually, also being that i hear the movements with the ears of mine heart, Mrs. Samsara, thou art skilled with the likes of what i would call to be my female spirit twin. We're touring US/Canada this Oct/Nov! Follow the link in the video description for deets
What a chorus!!! The kind of chorus that makes you sing along like an anthem!!!
Everyone in the comments is saying how the dacing girls are beautiful (and they are) but oh my goood for me it's Nik at the end 👀 yum
Thanks to Chappers for showing us this beautiful band
Anyone else here who suddenly fell in love with the dancing girls?
This really does remind me of me bungle, Devin Townsend, or frank zappa. To a certain degree of course, but, with it's own kickass twist! I love this you guys, I love it!!! Thank you TWELVE FOOT NINJA!
I can here the Zappa that was my first thought
One of my favorite bands! Love their music!
GF: Your music can't be danced. No one can dance with that kind of music...
Me: I'm winning this one, thank you Twelve Foot Ninja. Cant get enough of this.
Amazing fucking music. I can see you guys getting absolutely massive.
8 years later... Absolutely!!!!!
Strong influence of Faith no More :) ... Specialy Mike Paton
That cant be bad
*Mr Bungle
Dude in the tub had my same config M4 from the glory days. Miss you, Jenna 💚
I love the old school Sublime, reggae, feel of this song on the verses.
мне безумно нравиться ваша группа прошу продолжайте в том же духе
