Wow, i keep going back and forward with multiple programs, daz3d, marvelous designer, photoshop and a few more. But now i am getting better with blender i found this tutorial figuring out why not do it all in blender. This is just the start of me just doing blender for all my character, environment clothing and animation. This is really one of the best starter tutorials if you know some blender basics. Thanks a lot for providing this, this is really going to step up my game!
for anybody that has issues with the cloth falling through the collision object. Make sure that the collision object is not a plane. If it is a plane extrude it to give volume and then the cloth object will not fall through
Great little tutorial! I hope I can make it work. I'm thinking of characters with loose fitting clothing, so it's got to flow naturally without clipping through their bodies! 😅
With clothes, it's common practise to just not have hair where it's not going to be seen anyway. That way you don't have to worry about hairs sticking through
Excellent explanations. That said, I'm not sure I understand the point of baking it into the cache?? Either way though, this was helpful for me. I went from dropping a cloth onto some random objects to thinking, "Huh, maybe it would be fun to drape some clothe over boobs", and so I spent the last few hours sculpting that lol It ended up going well!
Great video hopefully u make more of those type of videos cgi into real for ads...also could you share your pc specs? To run blender smoothly as well as u did
Why does my cloth continue to slide across a flat floor, even when I turn up the friction? How do I change the roughness or stickiness of the collision objects. As is, it's like it's been sprayed with Teflon, which is not realistic at all. Also, could you explain impulse clamping? Thanks!
awsome tutorial, id like to ask you how it would work if i were to say have a charakter and i wanna add a cloth too them, would it be so easy to just hook the cloth and the charakter together and it would work? once again really good tutorial definetly deserving of a subsribe. cant wat for more tutorials from you :)
I'm trying to export a PNG sequence with the baked animation from the cloth simulation but every time I try to render animation it doesn't render the same animation from the simulation... What am I doing wrong?
Most clear tutorial on cloth simulation I've seen so far. Thanks!

Thanks !! Very Helpful
Good
thankyou so much bro
So clear,, Thanks,, is there a way that I can start the animation of the cloth on certain frame?
Thank you
Amazing!!!!!!
This was rather informative. At the end with the texture.. wouldn't the checker texture be just as easy, or were you avoiding getting into UV stuff?

Hi, I have a problem.
can you help me?.
These fabric simulations are the same as in the video, how do I export the dynamics (animations) in FBX?
My subdivided plane has no reaction after assigning Cloth to it. Any ideas?
I'm trying to export a PNG sequence with the baked animation from the cloth simulation but every time I try to render animation it doesn't render the same animation from the simulation... What am I doing wrong?
my cloth simulation preview is like 0.22 fps idk why. i have i9 14th gen with 4070 and 32 gb ram. is any settings i should be aware of?
YOur fabric is so free flowey. When I follow the tut I get stuck as mine doesnt form to my base and it is so slow
But where's the apply button ??
Hwo can i make cloths less flowey
I am a complete novice but suggest you use a thicker cloth, or leather or canvas. It is the stiffness that has to decrease.
thank you very much.
