Similarly, you can skip the room in BWL that slows you down to a crawl by allowing the mobs from the room prior to knock you into the air and up onto the ledge with the next boss. Been using that for a long time, myself.
Rare Lantern True, though if you don't have the privilege of having a dead zone inexplicably in the middle of your house, don't have a laptop, or don't know how to manufacture artificial lag, that could prove a bit hard. And even then, you run the risk of disconnecting, or getting the debuff while halfway through and having to walk the rest of the way with it. And it's faster to knock yourself onto the ledge and skip the walking, even if it didn't slow you, heh.
Weaponsomasscreation Good points, though fortunately a guy called TRG-semi came up with an excellent freeze macro so you don't have to know anything about how to generate artificial lag (I don't). I used it in a video I uploaded a while back called "wow pvp macro". It still works like a charm. I think I'll try your method anyway, since it sounds like a lot more fun:)
Archvaldor's Warcraft Hacks Oh, my. So it does. I'm going to get a lot of use out of that. I can finally fulfill my dreams of flying indoors. EDIT: Though, while useful, this kind of freezing wouldn't be useful in running through the area that slows you down. Giving yourself high latency works in that your positon in-game is recorded both on blizzard servers and on your own client. The position that Blizzard has is the one that determines with how you interact with everything in the world; it's the one other players see, the one that lets you get attacked, and the one that allows you to interact with environmental hazards, like standing in the fire, the floor traps in Mogu areas in MoP, or the stuff that slows you down which we're looking to avoid. The position on your own computer, however, tracks how you interact with the environment itself; collision and whatnot. Thanks to this difference, and the way blizzard updates their record of your position, you can lag yourself so that you can change your position a ton before letting it blizzard update their own record. For people with bad connection, this usually results in deaths in raids as even when they move out of fire, blizz has them recorded as standing in it still. The uses of this include: The ability to go and run in the fire all you want while lagging, so long as your initial position isn't in fire, confusing people in PvP by suddenly having your position updated to a location far away, flying indoors by not having the mount buff removed, or extending the duration of abilities and buffs that affect movement, such as making slowfall buffs stay applied with 0 seconds left, or flying off into the sunset with a demon hunter's rush attack that never wears out. Essentially, what all that adds up to is the ability to run through the room that slows you down without blizzard registering that you were ever in there, until you're already past it. Could work, or your game could lag out, or your position could update too early. No real way to control that, nor is there an applicable way to add and remove that much lag on a whim, unless you're me and have a literal dead zone in your house to which you can run with laptop in hands.

25 of January 2017 and still working. Ty so much dude! :) If you are rogues you can use grapling hook (from outlaw) to get on the chain and sprint instead of swiftness potion.
Awesome vid. Worked for me. Remember to make sure you are in between the casters and the chain or else you'll get knocked in random directions. I did it on a windwalker monk without a potion by first popping the slowfall toy and then using flying serpent kick. Only needed to go about 4 chain links above the ledge so very efficient.
as a level 80 in the war within, i waited 12 minutes until all my sea callers ran out of mana and no longer casted the chain lightning, they still cast the geyser though
I was able to use this skip in 2023 using Gusts of Wind potion, but I used my 2nd acct DH to jump onto the chain and swapblast my DK onto it instead of hoping Geyser would hit me (they kept missing my DK lol).
Hey Shiek. Did you know that there have been multiple reports of rogues falling through the world when shadowstepping? Perhaps we can use the old SStep glitch in a different way.
Uhh that's sounds awesome, actually didn't know that , I really wanna look into it but it's a littlebit too stressful for me atm. My first thought that came to my mind was if you fall trough the world at a specific point you may get teleported further into an instance just like ToT if you remember but that will only work in cata and upwards when it comes instances.
Shiekrunner Yeah the problem is dc-ing. Some explorers have found a way round that by using special movement abilities like disengage. Maybe if you can use shadowstrike fast enough or something.
I don't think this works anymore In 2023. The geyser works, but the Draenic Swiftness Potion is now ineffective above level 50 and its 70% movement speed boost is down from 200%.

Would love to get any idea on any toy/item usable in raid to make the jump on the chain and not wait for the Sea Callers to hit ya with the gaiser.
Actually, you don't. Akama will show up after the Council fight regardless. I've been using my Demon Hunter to get up the chain for wekks now, only killing the naga and Supremus, and then straight to the Mistress, never doing the Shade, and I'm always able to still have Akama show up and open the door to Illidan just fine.

Awesome! Just tried it and it is super easy and saved me lots of time! Thanks
Yeah thanks...I thought this was one of my better ones...took a long time to develop...

Another awesome video, This is really helpful! Nice job man :D
good job as always. gonna try that just now..finally no more annoying bosses. thanks! :)

the time it takes to get the sea callers to get one up the chain can be greater than the time to kill the other 4 bosses legitimately...
Not if you are doing it right. I tested the two things and it took about 40% of the normal run time on average.
I dunno. The sea callers kept launching me on the invisible wall in front of the chain or they were not launching me at all
