Thank you for this. I have been hesitant to venture in to the more advanced air frames, as I was concerned with the complexities of the keybindings. Really appreciate the step by step, along with the how's and the why's.
What a great tutorial , there isn't one like this on UA-cam. I was fallowing step by step and now I fully understand the configurations . Thank you for that , liked , subed and belled 😂
This set of videos saved me big time, I wasn't happy with the way it was setup and thanks to your excellent tutoring I am now very happy. I thank you so much.
Hi ! Thank you for your vidéo it’s awesome ! But I think you should talk about the flaps settings more. Because for people who don’t disable Landing and Takeoff Assistant in the Assistance options, they will have the flaps desengaging automatically 😄
Great tutorial! Spent an evening to create and firmly test all aircraft categories and they're just perfect! Saved me a lot of work and learned a lot about the V1. Thanks a bunch! Subscribing on your channel from now on :)
Hello Mark, Thank you for this detailed configuration video. As I mentioned before, I just purchased the Velocity one controller, and this part 2 video will be an excellent asset for configuring my controller. I found your channel videos by searching VO on UA-cam. Again, Thank You.
Hi there Mark, I just wanted to drop a line to thank you for this tutorial. I have just purchased the Velocity flight one for the pc and this is extremely helpful. Thanks from a new subscriber.
The reverse thrust issue appears to have been resolved by Turtle Beach. Just bought a new one 12/2023 and firmware 1.40 and it works fine by default. No reprogramming necessary for Turboprops.
Another great tutorial, thank you Mark. One question, when configuring the profiles in MSFS, do you have to change any of the profiles in FMD on the V1 or leave it as the default profile. Thanks.
Thank you for taking the time to put this together, it's really appreciated. I didn't really follow the section about the DBM930 though, are you advising setting up a throttle profile specifically for that aircraft? Thanks for the great content.
@@SimHangerFS How would that profile differ from the single engine turbo one? I'm sorry I feel like I've missed something really clear, but I do enjoy the 930 and want to use it a lot more now.
Thanks Mark, I am using this to set up my gliders spoilers on a Gliders profile using the outer right lever…. I had tried the Spoilers 0-100% but it didn’t do anything? I understand now its the axis thats assigned to the lever and is automatically variable. 😅. Laurie. NZ.
15:20 Turtle beach said this would be enabled through a firmware update. Hopefully we get it in the next coming months. Edit: I just saw you mention it after I typed this haha
Another great tutorial, thank you. One question, when configuring different profiles in MSFS, do you have to change any of the profiles in the FMD on the V1, or leave it as default. Thanks.

Hi, thank you for your informative tutorial video. I am having small issue on the setting of the Twin Turbo Engine (Tectron Aviation Beechcraft King Air 350i). The issue is that only the left engine gets started instead of both engines together, the right engine never turns when I press the B3 button. The levers are working fine as per the setup. Your feedback and support are appreciated.
Thanks so much for this Mark! So helpful for setting up my new Velocity One. Two questions - what are thoughts about using the V1 for the new Twin Otter (another profile perhaps?), and two if one does have pedals (as I do) any suggestions for what to bind to the RB, LB, RT, LT instead of using them for brakes and rudder?
Great news btw. New firmware update (1.1.0) enables 4 detent buttons on quadrant throttle levers allowing better setup for reverse thrust for XBox and PC and beta enablement of SIP status lights (though the SIP lights are PC only as you have to run a small program in the background). You may want to do an update video.
Additional detail: behaviour with keyboard F6 and F7 is logical, Joystick R - Axis Z is not at all. I don’t get this… any ideas, pls! BTW, thx for the brilliant video!!
Hi again, pt2 very interesting. Thank you. Couple of Q’s…With R hat up, aren’t you duplicating just moving the throttle lever to zero? Can you configure the toggle throttle reverse thrust to a button like B12 or something to use it? Lastly, I’m pretty confused how it treats profiles. You had various settings for the yoke but never changed its profile name. And you changed the quadrant profile for each change. Why aren’t they all changed to default, or single prop, or jet 4 etc, including the KB & Mouse?? Do these new profiles you created show up on the yoke led display and are they selectable from there? If not, how can I make the profile selectable from the yoke Flight Management Display? 🤓😵💫 I have had no joy finding a Turtle Beach V1 manual of any kind, so thank goodness for your videos. Cheers ✌️
@@SpatialGuy77 I have only set up one yoke profile, the different profiles are only for the quad. The yoke is common to all. The PC version treats the yoke and TQ as two completely separate peripherals. (Xbox treats it as one). Profiles from the FMD on the yoke are three default profiles for training/familiarisation purposes only. You can not select an active profile from here. Only in sim. You will not find a manual with the unit or install software. Join the Turtle Beach Simulations Discord (not the Turtle Beach Discord) for more info and docs.
Hello there and first of all let me thank you for the pristine work you're doing for MSFS 2020 in general updating regular contents for the best of our passion. This being said, turtle beach recently updated the Velocity one to firmware 1.3 and now it seems that we can assign reverse throttle to button 11 (PC qudrant set-up). Have you tried tha latest firmware (1.3) and would it be possible for you to update your settings / video ? Again many thanks for the very prefessional work you are putting up in regard to Flight simulation.
I set my flats to throttle lever, but when testing, the flaps jump all around the place then resets back at 10 degrees. They dont stay up, they dont stay down. Just like trim from last episode, seems like when i trim, it just resets after a couple seconds.
Hallo. Can you make a video about the Status Indicator Panel (SIP), how it work and which stickers and colors you selected for it, please? Greetings from Germany
Newbie question: My flaps lever doesn’t produce the action as shown on the video. External view and flaps lever 100%, 10 degrees. Lever 50% and white triangle bounces up&down, still 10 degrees. Lever 0%, same bouncing as before, white triangle always returns to second upmost white mark. I suspect a faulty potentiometer. Allthough I might be totally lost here. Any suggestions; all help is warmly wellcome. Thx!
Great couple of instructional vids, thank you. sorry to be thick, but how do the warning lights work? Can they be configured? At the moment I have the standard template in place and the light doesn’t change colour when I extend the flaps for instance?
For some reason, my mixture is not being recognized in the control options, but it is in game and is reversed...however, since I cannot set the key bind correctly I cannot uncheck the "reverse" box.
Mark quick question, I am having an issue with my throttle configuration. When I map my throttle axis to engine 1 & 2 it actually doesnt engage the throttle until I move the throttle to about 50% forward, mean 0 - 50 the throttle doesnt move at all so its like I only have half of the functionality which can make it very difficult. Any suggestions?
Good day to all of you, I bought a new velocity one yesterday and immediately updated the 1.40 firmware, but whatever I did, it shuts down by itself, I did all the recommended things, I turned off usb power save, tried another cable, tried another usb input, but did not get any results, 2 minutes then it turns itself off. i am using windows 11. please i need your help😧
Hi there and thanks for your tutorials. I've upgraded to firmware 1.3.3 (the latest) and find that even though the profile selected within the Microsoft Flight Simulator menus matches the profile selected on the VelocityOne Flight (the twin engine jet default profile in this case), the control mappings in MSFS are not mapped properly at all. I thought the whole idea of the default profiles was they would be mapped accordingly "out of the box" in MSFS. Any thoughts or suggestions?
My problem with Velocity One Flight is: When I move the throttle to full on the quadrant, the plane-throttle will engage fully, but then pops straight back out to zero (idle) when the quadrants throttle is fully engaged. I already created several new profiles and firmware is up-to-date. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Could you help. I am struggling to bind the flaps to the velocity one. On your tutorial you missed that out. Can you advise the button of your choice. I have tried various but the flaps engage and then automatically disengage.
I bound the flaps to the right most top throrttle axis and not a button. I'm sure its in the video. If your using a button then it is decease flap and increase flap bindings.
I’m having an issue with the elevator trim wheel. I chose the same axis -100 to 100 but when scanning for input I spin the trim wheel and nothing is recognized. I know it works in the default setup of the v1 but not if I’m making my own profiles. Any ideas?
Darn! Did the Velocity One xbox app updated the firmware to 1.4.0. But now MSFS xbox doesn’t find nor see the yoke at all. Checked its input is set to XBOX and default profile or the single prop one but the yoke still doesn’t show in the Controller section in MSFS. 😢. I dont know what to do? Laurie NZ.
FYI, I wasn’t quitting out of the Sim on Xbox X correctly. I was tapping the Xbox button once and choosing Home. I should have been pressing the three lined Options button which brings up a list of them and Quit is at the bottom, tap that and it Quits the Sim/game correctly. Then when I restarted the Sim as normal my Velocity One Flight yoke was there again and appears to be working as usual again. (I have a PS4 and copied that way to quit a game, XBox X does it in a different was as I show here).
Would you know why the axis bars on the assignment screen don't move when I move them ? Everything works in the plane but I'm not sure why it's happening, I am on Pc and it is in Pc mode . cheers
@@SimHangerFS ah that's fine then. It was bothering me a bit . Your bindings are absolutely perfect, I have them copied like for like and they work so well. I have also now setup the Sips display which adds some immersion. This is my first yoke coming from the hotas X stick and it's night and day the difference it makes. The major one for me is that trim wheel, What a difference it makes.
I'm having HUGE issues with this controller. The Quadrant just doesn't want to work. The buttons are fine, but the leavers and throttle stick etc, it feels like something else is 'fighting' against them, they don't control the functions correctly. Sooooo annoying.
