Is This the BEST Coastal Community in SAN DIEGO [Bird Rock, La Jolla]

If you're thinking about moving to San Diego for that coastal vibe, this might be the spot. Welcome to Bird Rock in La Jolla. This small community in the southern end of La Jolla has a much different vibe than the touristy sections closer to La Jolla Village.
The main drag on La Jolla Blvd has a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, and places to grab a beer or glass of vino. Even though it's only a few blocks it has a lot to offer including its mellow local vibe.
The homes here have a starting point at around $2M for a complete remodel and they go all the way to $18Mn (as of now). East of LJ Blvd will be a little less pricey than the oceanfront homes on the west.
Even though it's on the ocean there isn't much "beach". The bluffs are jagged and steep and don't offer too much in the way of throwing out a towel and relaxing, but that does keep the crowds away. You can also easily head north to La Jolla Shores or South to Pacific Beach. All in all Bird Rock is an excellent neighborhood.
