Thanks Chris. I lived near Jefferson and Grand from 81 to 89. Less than 10 minute walk down Grand to the Beach. In L.A. now approaching retirement. Looking to retire in O'side.
A Con of Carlsbad, there are very few corner stores or town centers unless you live by the coast, it is a car town. Half of the city is corporate buildings and warehouses. Leucadia, Encinitas, and Solana Beach have more friendly coastlines for biking and walking with more stores and activities. different strokes for different folks.

Agreed! Most of North County is car dependent as well. And good point on the buildings and warehouses...lots of 'em!
