Does Tony respect wrestlers? He's gone after Taker, Cena, HHH, HBK and now Jinder. Dudes that have dedicated their life to the business!! He's been in the business for 4 years, it's a bad look to go after these dudes who have been in the biz forever.
He showed that he doesn't with what he did to Punk. He fired Punk over hurt feelings (not fights as some people say because fights have always happened since wrestling started), he muted the Punk chants at that Chicago show, they never mentioned him and acted like he didn't exist after the suspension suspension and also covered up his face on that production truck, and didn't put him on the video game cover. He also doesn't respect wrestling itself, to treat a wrestling legend like that

A lot of people complain about the tribalism that goes on these days, rightfully so, but it can't go unnoticed that Tony Khan and AEW have been the ones from the very beginning to take shots at WWE. It's been happening since the company started, and continues to this day. They've created and stoked the fire of AEW vs WWE for 5 years. I don't know if Tony has a drug problem, mental health issues, or both, but this latest attack on WWE has me questioning his sanity. Dave is right, who the hell was complaining about Hook getting a shot in the first place? Online outrage? Makes Tony sound very paranoid, at the very least, or he just created it in his own head for whatever reason. The only time HHH ever said anything negative about AEW was when he referred to them as a "secondary promotion," and it's not like he was lying. For all the shots AEW has taken at WWE, at least one clapback was warranted, and it wasn't even that bad. Tony and the entire AEW roster should just shut the f?!p up about WWE, period. It's never done any good, and it's not helping business. I want AEW to exist, the business is much better off with multiple thriving wrestling companies. But Tony needs to put his phone down, and hand the keys of AEW off to somebody else. He's going to destroy it, and nobody wants that.

Everyone keeps saying that 'wrestling suffers' if AEW goes under, but I don't buy this. AEW and everything it stands for (Insider references, smark bait, mocking kayfabe, no selling gymnastics, bad comedy) are a black mark on wrestling. Yes there would be an issue of monopoly but I truly believe the wrestling ecosystem would be better without AEW in it. You don't have to support AEW from some guilt tripped idea that the industry needs them.

I agree, I loved wrestling before and I’ll love it after AEW is gone. Their high watermark is Fall of 2021…they peaked! It’ll be over eventually, losing tv deal will be a huge hit. It mocks the business I love. I wanted an alternative but, their alternative was dogshit comedy wrestling.

I think the thing most Americans don't get about Jinder is that he is huge in India. WWE is smart to capitalize on that market.

All this happened the same week Revolution passed the 15K in ticket sales, they are about to sign one of the top women’s wrestlers in the world, they are celebrating 5 years as a company, and WBD pretty much touted AEW as a ratings success. Tony could have ended this day soooo validated and silenced all the criticism he’s received. But instead everyone is talking about Jinder Mahal on the other show. TK can’t get out of his own way smh.

For me, If TK did what Bischoff did during Nitro and called out WWE on TV as an angle, Im great with that. But tweeting and not saying everything he said on twitter on tv, just makes him look less than Bischoff, Triple H,and VKM in my opinion.
One of the things I find interesting is that I listen to a lot of these wrestling podcasts and obviously there's some beef between a lot of different people on these shows. Everyone of them might have different takes good or bad about each other but they are all singing the same song when it comes to Tony and his SM fits. Tony should take that into account.
Tony hasn't learned anything from the past, he has just done the same thing for the Seth, Jinder match that Eric did for the Foley championship match on Raw and what did it do for Eric.

The problem is that Tony himself decided to use his personal account and go out of his way to take shots at WWE. If you’re the head of a company like that, you can’t be doing that shit. You have to conduct yourself in a certain way and “turn the other cheek” if you will.

Just in the last year Tony Kahn has called triple h a bald asshole, mocked undertaker and John cena for appearing on nxt and not drawing a million viewers, and now goes after jinder mahal. All while dynamite barely cracked 800,000 viewers, has a sexual misconduct “investigation” ongoing and their boss is becoming increasingly more erratic. Aews time is coming up. Jim cornette called this a year ago about Tony melting down
Feel like everybody's missing the biggest point here. Tony Khan is supposed to have a reputation of being a booker for the boys, providing an alternative employer for guys who weren't satisfied with their treatment by the "Evil empire".
He literally went on Twitter and publicly shit on a seemingly well respected talent for booking that's completely out of his control, with zero provocation. That makes him look like absolute shit to plenty of talent he may eventually want to come work for him one day.
Both Tony Khan and the AEW fans do a great job of bringing their brand down. It sucks because AEW has many greats including the likes of Toni Storm and Edge.

I agree with Bully and Dave. The best solution is just to stay quiet. I just to don't see the point of TK going on a rant about wins and losses, since it really doesn't matter, because wins and losses are already predetermined. before Tony posted those tweets, I honestly didnt even know Hook was still wrestling. I dont watch AEW at all, but I hear everybodys name being mentioned on different podcasts and on social media. I dont hear anybody talking about Hook. not saying nobody really is but it does seem like not many people care about him at this point.
