No one even mentioned the fact that Bubba also put a hand on a NASCAR official. I always thought that was considered a very serious violation. I thought Larson showed a great deal of maturity in refusing to let Bubba provoke him into a fight. Granted, the fact that Bubba probably outweighs Kyle by 50 lbs. may have been a factor. Anyway, a one-race suspension is barely even a slap on the wrist, IMHO.

Larson looked like he was a little shook up before Bubba even got to him. Larson wanted no part of a fight with Bubba, and I get that he probably wasn't going to fight the only African American Cup driver after his own issues with racism. How do you think Toyota feels about Bubba losing his temper and taking out a Toyota playoff car (the 20)? Bubba messed up. My Greatest Issue is the fact that nobody seems to want to address. Bubba put Kyle into the wall at 170 mph and then walks up to Kyle and launches him self at him from several feet away shoving him so violently that Bubba himself went to his knee then shoves him 4 or 5 more times. And nobody had even determined if Kyle had been injured during the wreck and if he had those shoves could have been life threatening to a driver with a concussion or a neck injury.
The nascar officials were negligent in allowing Bubba to even get into an altercation with Kyle and nothing will change that. Sports Entertainment my @$$. If Kyle does have a medical condition that is slow to show itself he's going to win that lawsuit because Bubba outed himself on who knows how many cameras and Nascars Negligence is very apparent.
Total lack of self control and Maturity for a Supposed Cup level driver. Somebody needs to address that issue, Because drivers safety is paramount as noted with all recent safety meetings about this unsafe vehicle. I guess Bubba must have slept through those meetings or he is mentally to slow to grasp the obvious. This is a way bigger issue then is being discussed

There is a difference in what I call "normal" verbal, sometimes physical, disagreements among NASCAR drivers, and then there is retaliation with malicious intent. Suspending Bubba, fining him, taking points away, is never going to fix this mans reactions to certain triggers. If you do not fix the cause, which is how he responds to negative actions, then this will just happen again. What happens when his "feelings" get someone killed or seriously injured? I personally feel he needs anger management and to learn some coping skills.

Larson did not shove back. He was stunned after hitting the wall hard. Jr is protecting NASCAR with his comments when the facts are:
    1. Larson ran Bubba too high and they touched.
    2. Bubba retaliated by driving into Larson sending him hard into the wall
    3. Bubba left his car under caution, in violation of rules and proceeded to walk 60yards to Larson.
    4. Bubba was the only one shoving.
    5. Bubba lied about the incident claiming his steering broke but telemetry clearly showed he was full throttle into Larson.
Bubba has a history of not telling the truth.

However, I think you are way off the boat on this one. I forget who said it but, Bubba would have been in Mike Helton's trailer right after this incident. NASCAR is getting too Woke and Kyle could have been seriously injured. You know all the complaints of the pain drivers have had after crashes with this car. Not to mention Bubba took out a points contender. Bubba should be suspended not for just one race but for the remainder of the season, as well as forced Anger Management Therapy. Plus his team should be fined a large number of owner points. We need another Mike Helton!!!!!

-Punts Larson in the right quarter panel at 170MPH
-Does so at the worst part of the track for injury
-Does so knowing the injuries the Next Gen has caused his teammate and Bowman
-Wrecks TRD teammate Bell and caused a DNF putting him in a near must win situation for the Championship 4
-Totals his race winning car from Kansas which could have won this race, Homestead, and maybe even Phoenix
-Starts violently shoving Larson who got the worst of it
-Still hasn't apologized to Larson in an official capacity
Jeremy: But I liked that interview and how vulnerable Bubba was
Clownshow. Ty Gibbs, Hoocevar, Rhodes, Gragson, and many others involved in lesser incidents got rightly raked over the coals for being stupid and Bubba competing in the Cup series is no different, if anything he deserves more critique. I don't know if it's a personal bias or concern with retaliation here, but it's the wrong approach. Even if you take the driver equation out, this has awful ramifications for 23XI and TRD and it's because this impulsive idiot couldn't wait until a caution or after the race and opted with the option that could have killed a man.
