Congratulations Kyle, you have been right for many years and I applaud your consistency. You were right all along, the inconsistencies make NASCAR look like entertainment instead of a sport.
Absolutely appreciate the consistency. I largely agree with him too. The only problem I have with any of this is those who aren’t consistent with their opinions just because it’s Bubba. I think this incident was unacceptable and particularly egregious, but for example, people are saying Bubba should be arrested for assault. No one has ever made that argument for ANY other physical altercation between drivers or crew members.
Make this man head of NASCAR. He's right. As much as I cheered when Kenseth dumped Logano, any deliberate attack on a driver like that should be a multiple race suspension. And I couldn't agree more that it is laughable that you get four weeks for a loose tire on pit road (not even on the track), but one race for crashing a guy, assaulting him, shoving an official, and not following procedure by refusing to get into an ambulance, in a sport whose main priority the last two decades has been safety. Bullshit.
In all fairness to Carl, Brad did the same damn thing to him at Talladega the year prior... and he ended up in the catch fence. Brad got *no* repercussions from that, either.
@@captain_misaki Carl Edwards wrecked himself at Talladega...lol Keselowski got to his inside and Edwards came down across his nose, that's why NASCAR didn't do anything. Edwards tried and failed to push Keselowski below the yellow line...lol Edwards tried to kill Keselowski at Atlanta and almost did at Gateway, there's no way to excuse Edwards on track actions...imo
Thank you Kyle! A few teams do what they want every race and knowing they don't have to pay for repairs and never held accountable for their actions!!!! Team owners and NASCAR has to step up and get controls in place!!!
Here's my take on this whole thing. What this sport really needs is a Council of Legends made up of drivers from the past like Richard Petty, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip, Mark Martin, Bill Elliott and Jeff Gordon. Modern NASCAR has strayed too far from its roots, and this would bring some of that culture back into the sport.
He should have been fined also. $20K for not obeying track officials direction and $50K for ending Bell's championship hopes. The purpose is to cause him to change his behavior, not give him a week off to rest up and see what other commotion he can cause. NASCAR did themselves nor Bubba any favor by letting him of easy.
I absolutely get where the folks saying he should have been fined on top of it are coming from, but I do think a suspension sends a much stronger message. When you have as much sponsorship and corporate backing as the 23XI team does, I'm not sure a fine is much of big deal to Bubba and the team. Also, it's very much possible Bell goes out and wins one of the next two races, so while his title hopes have certainly taken a hit, I think it's a bit early to say he "ended" them (not defending the incident at all, obviously, just saying, you never know with this format).
@@bcschneider53 1 day suspension is NOTHING. It's simply a way for NASCAR to say they did something when they wussed out. If it was the rest of the year, that would have been better but ultimately, a monetary fine would have much more impact and the fines would be associated to each individual psychotic act this troubled young man performed for the national viewing audience.. The 1 day suspension will be completely ineffective in changing Bubba's behavior.
After the Bubba and Larson crash I actually lost all respect for Bubba, not only is he a professional, but he’s also a role model for young and up coming drivers. To act the way he did toward Larson and the nascar officials is not no where near acceptable. On top of this if it wasn’t the 20 and with the rotation that the 5 had it would have hit the wall rear end first. This right after Kurt and Bowman being injured form these types impacts. This could have been way worse.
Kyle is right about getting teeth in the punishments and consistency in the antics on track. But I fault NASCAR on the Logano Kenseth wreck. This was weeks in the making in NASCAR NOT acting when they should have on Logano for wrecking Kenseth.
Hey say what you want about KP, I have always been a fan of his. He says stuff that a lot of us want to say but we can't say. He also says stuff that a lot of people don't want to hear but needs to hear. Kyle Petty is a great personality of the sport he may not have had as much success behind the wheel as many other drivers did but he does know what he's talking about. P.s. there needs to be some sort of podcast with Kyle Petty and Kenny wallace. There would be all kinds of views. They both have great racing personalities and are not afraid to speak candidly about various subjects.
NASCAR isn't even racing any more. It is just 40 or 50 whatever the number of cars going around the track until you get a time out. The tires suck. The cars suck. The rules suck. The stages suck. It's turned into a freak show with wrecks. Bring on the comments. I'm right. Change my mind.
I cannot dispute what you've said. Lose the Chase, bring back the old points system, lose the segmented races (the entire idea is stupid), and bring a council of older drivers to oversee the Rules Committee's bullshit.
Who? Wallace? Hmm, how many drivers did Kyle call out on this segment? Nobody gets anything but slaps on the wrist except now. What is different this time? Let those who have eyes see the obvious.
Kyle has been banging this drum for years (as we see in this video), but NASCAR has been SO inconsistentl...that it HAS become a joke. I like that they parked him for ONE race, but they should've ALSO fined him. Possibly taken away driver points. Don't feel they should punish the team. They DEFINITELY did not want him to do what he did. But ONLY suspending him for ONE race was a light punishment. At least two weeks suspension IF there was not other penalties. He's got to learn that this is not acceptable. He really needs to take Anger Management courses. He's GOT to reign it in. Love the passion and I love Bubba, but this needs to stop. If it wasn't for Christopher Bell getting wrangled into this...Kyle Larson would've backed up into the wall going 160+ plus. That is bad news. That might of ended his season...possibly hurting him enough that it could've effected th 2023 season. Won't go as far as Joey Lagono, but maybe even his livelyhood...as a race car driver. Just my opinion. Great collection of clips. Thanks.
I absolutely get where the folks saying he should have been fined and docked points on top of it are coming from, but I do think a suspension sends a much stronger message. By sitting out a race, the points take care of themselves, and when you have as much sponsorship and corporate backing as the 23XI team does, I'm not sure a fine is much of big deal to Bubba and the team either. Bubba's wears his heart on his sleeve, and that's great. But you're right, last Sunday crossed a line and you simply cannot do what he did.
Damn right. And the last one definately points out the NASCAR bias/bullshit. I'm about done with NASCAR, I can stream a late model or multiple lower level series and get better racing.
Kyle couldn't race like his dad or grandad could, but he's mostly had a level head. He admits when he's done something dumb and owns it. And he has had the SAME OPINION for more than 15 years on things as an analyst and commentator on events seen. I wasn't ever a Kyle fan as a driver, but He's got my respect as an analyst. I have to say I agree with him FOR THE MOST PART. I think Bubba should have gotten a 2 race suspension because of the 1) intentional wreck and 2) safety violation of walking onto the track. the physical altercation for me is here nor there, fights happen at tracks nation wide. some involve the county cops. some don't. Hell, we've all wrecked someone on purpose ONCE out of anger on the track if we've done it long enough. And its always happened to us at least once if we've done it long enough. That doesn't make it right, it is just a reality of people being people and having the passion to stand up for themselves, right or wrong or somewhere in that gray area. But the right rear hook is NEVER okay. Driver door shots are NEVER okay. Fine, move him up the track or give him a firm shot under yellow to say "I'm kinda pissed off at you" but you DO NOT right hook a driver. Jeff wrecking Clint I wasn't happy to see, and I'm a Jeff fan. Matt knocking out Joey, though, I was happy to see -- still not right, but I was still happy to see a little payback. At least in that case it was a SLOW track.
The "shoving" of Kyle Larson is being overlooked a little. Wallace rammed Larson back into the car. That could've hurt Larson's back really bad. I have no problem with fighting. This was obviously bullying. Larson is what, 135 pounds??? Wallace's head alone weighs 135 pounds. Nascar looks like clowns in how they handled this. Anyone other than Wallace, in 2022, gets hammered. Wallace is close to untouchable and knows it. A bad look nascar.
It's important to state who Kyle is when thinking about this, he's worn all the hats in the garage so he "gets it" in a way a lot of people who've only worn one don't, or can't. He knows that when a car gets wrecked it's not only the driver who gets hurt (and hopefully only in a figurative way), it's the owner who has to cut a big check, and the crew who have to put in extra hours fixing that car. I agree with his stance on this.
I do believe Kyle Petty has this one right. And I do believe the owners need to own it also. Owners points should have been docked as well. Hard racing is hard racing. There was no contact between Larson and Wallace that forced Wallace into the wall. Wallace reacted and put his own car into the wall. Then Christopher Bell is collected, then Wallace walks across a hot track, then attacks Larson and repeatedly pushes him, then he pushes an AMR Official. I can bet his sponsor McDonald's isn't "Bud em bup bop bah I'm Lovin It" seeing their driver wearing the Golden Arches hunting down and attacking people. I wasn't impressed, nor would I be if it was any driver. I wasn't impressed with Keselowski, Edward's, Kenseth, Harvick, Hamlin, Hosavar, or anyone who has done this. The only thing I would have liked to have seen in this case would have been Jimmy Spencer or Ryan Newman in place of 135 pound Kyle Larson being pushed around and I think a bigger lesson would have been learned that day.
I've done stull like this before when I was active on twitter, facebook etc. I've long left those platforms, but... I have learned one very important thing. You can honestly show this on every social media platform in the cosmos, the people that need to see this will either not watch, not care or both. Their mind is already made up and their positions are not coming from a point of logic, but emotion. Because of that, they can't allow anything to shatter their world view. Essentially, the facts do not matter. Us logical folks will always appreciate this, but you'll never reach those illogical ones. They'll just hate-comment, dislike and move on. You may even get reported like some other UA-camrs have. I've had a few conversations on videos and community posts about this, but either the video or post were suddenly removed for "community guideline violations".
I’ve already had to set the comments settings to “hold all comments for review” on several of my uploads this week. Just incredibly unfortunate how close-minded people are.

Bullshit.
Good work! I always listen to Kyle Petty.
Carl Edwards should've been arrested for his actions on the track...imo
In all fairness to Carl, Brad did the same damn thing to him at Talladega the year prior... and he ended up in the catch fence. Brad got *no* repercussions from that, either.
@@captain_misaki Carl Edwards wrecked himself at Talladega...lol
Keselowski got to his inside and Edwards came down across his nose, that's why NASCAR didn't do anything. Edwards tried and failed to push Keselowski below the yellow line...lol
Edwards tried to kill Keselowski at Atlanta and almost did at Gateway, there's no way to excuse Edwards on track actions...imo
love the water cooler comment. he always stays consistent. gotta give it to em.
Thank you Kyle! A few teams do what they want every race and knowing they don't have to pay for repairs and never held accountable for their actions!!!! Team owners and NASCAR has to step up and get controls in place!!!
I wish he was in the Fox Sports booth, he is way more savvy in today’s culture and the last generation’s culture than Bowyer.
Let's be honest everyone across the country/world, except Joey L fans LOVED seeing Matt K take him out at Martinsville lol
And Matt knew how to crash him and not hurt him..Bubba could have cared less about Hurting Kyle.
Kyle Petty isn't a shill or fan boy of any team or driver. He calls it as he sees it and I wish everyone else would do the same
Here's my take on this whole thing.
Seems to me Kyle Petty is more consistent at rules than NASCAR--I'm not shocked.
Four races for a loose wheel. But only one race for 4 or 5 infractions by Wallace.
Stupitity!
No suspension for Jeff Gordon
Kyle Petty is exactly what NASCAR isn't: Consistent in the ruling, especially for wrecking someone on purpose.
NASCAR doesn't hold a candle to Kyle on consistency. What surprise it would be if NASCAR followed their own rule book in every insistence.
He’s consistent so we can’t bash him for this opinion
Kyle you did it right in front of me in the Winston in 92 and shut up NASCAR needs this
At least he knows that before he starts calling someone out for it, he calls himself out for it as well
Petty is spot on...I made a comment on Dirty mo, said the same thing. Out for the rest of the year and fined....bigtime!
Out for the year/ several races…fined and points and a race suspension the following year. Let’s remind everyone why they got the penalty
Who? Wallace?
Hmm, how many drivers did Kyle call out on this segment? Nobody gets anything but slaps on the wrist except now.
What is different this time?
Let those who have eyes see the obvious.
@@bobbafett1849
And what might that be?
@@bobbafett1849 Did you miss where Kenseth got a worse punishment than Bubba? It's right there in the video if you watch it.

Kyle Petty: “I hate to see this.”
Everybody else on Earth: “I loved seeing this!!”
They hated him because he told the truth. Kyle was right about Danica and he is right about Bubba.
This is why I love Kyle petty tells is opinion whether nascar what’s him to say it or not.
I really miss that Shotime weekly show. The Radioactives were amazing!
Big kudos to Kyle for speaking his mind. There's not many people with the balls to speak sense👏
The Hornaday incident is the reason I have no respect for Kyle Busch.
It was pretty terrible behavior for sure
He earned the Hornaday headache, I believe it was excedrin headache 1.0
KYLE IS RIGHT !!!!!! BUBBA GOT TO GO .....GOOD JOB ON THE VIDEO BEN .
You are 100% right about this
This is a great video for those who think Mr. Petty is just going after Mr. Wallace.🤠👍
Who out of that bunch KP talked about got anything above a wrist slap?
I wonder whats different this time...
God I love KP
He tells it like it is at Kyle Petty holds no punches that's what makes him awesome
Kyle is speaking the truth. Especially on the Bubba Wallace incident. Comparing the actions and the suspensions
Kyle is 100% correct in everyone of these instances. He was born in NASCAR.
Being the son of the King? Yeah. And much like Richard and Lee, Kyle's *also* a maverick.
Finally figured out it is a big joke. Ovals being called tracks, playoffs, advertising caution periods, overtime laps, it goes on and on...
@@bcschneider53 the irony of it is that they will say the exact same about you or me. To them, we are the ones that are closed-minded. Lol.
I agree with Kyle Petty wholeheartedly!
Larson was attacked!
Bubba should be suspended to made an example of!
Enough BS!
Plus he pushed an official!
Let him back after anger management and a humble apology to Larson!
Bravo!
Tough consequences!

Cough cough old Kurt Bush cough cough Kyle Bush
1.) He already was suspended.
2.) Nobody has been suspended or forced to apologize for fighting in NASCAR, GTFO with that crap.
I'm not sure that someone using so many !!!!!!'s can say anything about someone else needing anger management lol
Inconsistency: Busch, Kenneth, and Wallace were suspended. Edwards and Gordon especially should have been suspended.
Totally agree that more drivers should be penalized by sitting out a race.
Solid video man!
Kyle is consistent on his opinion and most of his opinions are correct!
I know a lot of people don't like Kyle, but I've been a fan of Nascar for 40 years and although I don't always agree with him I like Kyle.
I don't always agree with Kyle but I can damn sure say he stays with his convictions and like others have said I respect him a lot more for it and ALSO AGREE 110% that Bubba should have NO option to return until 2023.
Kyle Petty is the best analyst in NASCAR
Didn’t he put Davey Allison in the hospital by right rearing him on charlotte front stretch in 92?
Please bring back the speed Chanel.
Kyle always speaks his mind and isn’t afraid of going against the grain. He doesn’t care about being politically correct and that’s what’s great about him.
He's just like his daddy and his grandfather: A maverick.
He’s right about every single one of these.
Kyle don’t apologize you are exactly right.NASCAR has become an major joke.Had it been ANYONE in nascar he would have been done for the year. You we’re also right in saying owners need to address this situation along with the powers that be in Nascar
If you want to keep costs down you have to eliminate all these big crashes. Bubba would be suspended for whole season if he was a F 1 driver possibly life.
I'm with Kyle .
The only thing wrong with bubba's suspension was that chastain and Byron (at least) should also have received the same .
I agree if you suspend the crew for a tire the driver should be suspended also
Good for Kyle he tells it like it is.Nascar should have suspended Bubba for the rest of the year. Like Kyle said you do that on the street you are going to be arrested. Hope Mcdonalds pulls the plug on Bubba
May not be a good driver but he sure is a good analyst
I’d actually argue he’s both. 8 Cup wins is a heck of a lot better than most can say. I think the younger generation only remembers his final years post-Adam’s death, don’t think he was ever the same behind the wheel after that…in his prime he was a legitimate title contender for a couple of years.
He held off Dale Jarret in a 500 lapper at dover before they chopped 100 miles off those races. That ain't slouch shit.
Considering his father is King Richard, and his granded got 50 wins and i think 2 titles,i can understna dwhy some may call his career underwelming, but he wasnt bad by any means.
-8 wins
-52 top 5's
-173 Top 10's
-8 poles
-3,909 laps led
he had a mathmetical shot of winning the title in 1992 going in atlanta, which was the same year Alan Kulwicki pulled one of the greatest upset seasons in pro sports.

I totally agree with Kyle, Bubba should be parked for the rest of the season.
Kyle is right on this.
