#Skateboarding #Podcast #Interview Clb
I love Jeron’s O.G. Perspective on the Nine Club.
I’ve been wondering what his name was after watching this podcast for 3 years
True OG
Ronnie's own words from an old interview:
"They (the éS guys) told me I had to jump down stuff to prove myself shoe-worthy. I felt like I was being brainwashed".
I always though the already built-up bitterness led to there being no intro to Ronnie's part in a video which took part intros and made them into an art form. Fast forward to What If?, and a Ronnie Creager intro which to this day gives me goosebumps. He denied them that shit, and kept it for Blind. An intro of eternal and unconditional love for skateboarding.
Ronnie, you are royalty. Me and my friends never had to nor wanted to see you skate stuff others skated. When I think of what you blessed skateboarding with, I think of the switch heel back tail line kind of gold footage.
Oh, one last thing. You really did hide your stance well from us in your issue 4 profiles.
2002 lunch table talk
@@euminkong I remember it was a Big Brother or TWS interview.
His tech ability and style in Trilogy was ahead of its time.
Indeed and that is a big understatement
To be honest, Ronnie's part in Menikmati was one of my favorite parts as well in the video 💯
The music gives me nostalgia
ronnie creager was one of the reasons I loved èS in the first place. It was so rad to have all these guys who weren't just from different parts of the world but who also skated different stuff, and he had one of the best shoes to come out of èS (they were all awesome though)
Ronnie Creager part in menikmati is one of my favorite parts ever.
when the es ronnie creager shoes came out, i was at my peak in skating and those shoes were incredible. I had just gotten over a year of recovery from a knee injury, and a month after that i filmed a complete 3 minute part for local skateshop in one day because those of those shoes. I had 6 pairs of them in a row and was sad that those shoes eventually went EOL.
Ronnie has been having an immense influence on skateboarding. When I watched him in early 90´s to this day I can’t comprehend his superpowers. 👌🏻
Jeron had a ponit about them wanting skaters to all skate the same way 💯🌈👌
Ronnie actually had openly shared the reason for his departure soon after they parted ways. Not long after that Ronnie won a huge contest in Australia grinding a huge rail during his run and he even alluded to the fact that hey Es treated me this way and look at me know I can skate big rails, I can win big contests and you Es lost an accomplished skater. It was like poetic justice!!!
His nollie Tre to open his part in Menikmati is still to this day one of the smoothest nollie tre's ever
It was so floaty
First video I’ve seen of Ronnie was 411 video mag where he hid those skateboard products. Damn that was over 20 years ago.
Issue 36 - Day in the Life !! Was the first to do the hiding skate products around town. He ate burgers and fries for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Haha. And he did some type of a rail bonks on those tall asss 3 stair rails. 😁👍
@@memorysometimers3067 yup that was it. I would watch that video over and over. Miss those days.
his battle commander is one of the best
I associate Ronnie with an Ollie sex change over a fence. Not everyone has to jump big stuff. That Ollie sex change was a trick I didn't expect to see and it was done so smoothly.
that menikmati part is timeless. I could watch it for days just based on his style alone. Style matters kids.
Dubs on the episode was dropping fuckin heat!
I saw Ronnie at the DC maloof money cup. It really showed his diversity in his skating. Hes deff a legend
Just watched for the million time his part in Menikmati. Jesus fucking Christ his part is nice. The style, the tricks, the song and the editing...for me it's in the ten best video parts ever.
i love watching him skate
I don't understand why he felt out of place. Ronnie was great at what he did and is not like all of the team was jumping down huge gaps and rails. At the time,Penny was not that's for sure.
Penny joined the team later I think ... coulcl be wrong though
Penny was on eS from the beginning
ron still killin it
Imagine a conversation between this guy and Steve Caballero
Why?I don't understand why?
I was being dick. I feel terrible about it. I love and respect all those guys. They are a huge part of something I love
He may not have enjoyed it, but I feel like Ronnie downplays his ability to do big stuff. He starts off his Rodney vs. Daewon part with rails and gaps, skates double-sets, etc. He noseslides that gnarly hubba in Round 2, then switch frontside flips the stairs...all of that stuff would've made for great photos.
I owned that video back in the day and ronnie's part was my favorite too.
Ronnie was definitely one of the best to do it... switch tailslide switch front side 360 heelflip on a table.
What video part?
@@Modelskater what-if. It's an incredible part. He noseblunts a tabletop into a massive ditch too.
@@Modelskater what if
Watched his part like 3000 times
tech god, way ahead of time with guy kampfen, early 00s been the best
Kampfen blew my mind when he hit the scene!!
Thats why Crailtap rules they would never ask no one for shit!
Marc Johnson might have a thing or two to say about that.
@@paulbrendanawicz4609 what happened?

@@paulbrendanawicz4609 Thanks!
This kickflip from the thumbnail, does anyone know where it's from? Thank you.
Jerome keep it real that's how it supposed to be
Jerome who?
@@drmatacic Jerome Wilson son. Kept it 100
Word.
Talk about Jamie Griffin's part "Do it Rollin"
Such a nice dude
Crob, Nadia was like 10 years before the hiatus
wass pretty revolutionary
poor jordan richter
Love Ron, he’s a legend, feel like Kelly was extra nice.. but makes sense. Even in Round 2 he wasn’t at the level of the other Pros and again in Menikmati
🔥🔥

@@Troutguyfromdubai are you the real Colt? I miss you.
Penny is back on es, why is Ronnie not?
He is now
@@Janinamillion Really? He isn't listed in the team section on their website.
Veteran
Double OG wanna see the whole interview
Is he high?
He is chilling...
Is that what thats called?
Well he's melted in the chair and his eyes are half open... Lol
Next guest gets Adderall and ....Angry Orchard....?
He is down. He is not happy about the skate industry. But he is chilling like always cuz he is cool.
Ronnie Creager = Shane O’ Neill
I hate the Menekmati video EXCEPT for Ronnie Creager's part.
That video is fucking tedious. It's not fun. It doesn't make me want to get up and skate. Creager's part does though.
Because they are a bad shoe? lol
I can’t stand jerones 2 cents
I can’t stand people who can’t spell names
@@LeonardSkinnard pure and utter respect for your opinion, Dove.
Ronnie's was my favorite part after Koston. Such a chill vibe. But I feel like he was not driven or ambitious enough to put in the work with Es and I feel like that was a mistake.
Wasn't he older than most guys on the team? That and I remember something about an ankle injury... might be wrong though, it's been a long time since the video came out.
He pretty much says they wanted him to 50-50 a huge rail and he wasn't willing to do it. I don't blame him. Huge risk. Although to your point maybe he could've done training to build towards it. Like at Woodward or where-ever.
You can even tell from the interview that he's just way too chill of a dude. Some people don't really understand you have to put in a little more sometimes unless you tell them too. Like his goal wasn't to become a professional skateboarder, it became something he fell into because it was easy and just went with.
