Happy new year Nick. I suggested Safe Surfer - risky being such a marathon track, but delighted you gave it a go and enjoyed it. Some great choices here in your top 20 - McAlmont & Butler, Tracy Chapman, Carpenters, Cocteau Twins.... Look forward to your output in 2025!
Best wishes for the New Year, Nick! I love how diverse your list is - some mainstream music but that's balanced with plenty of less commercially obvious artists too.
A lovely range of music there - something for every mood. (BTW your ongoing commitment to self care seems to be doing so much good, it's lovely to see/hear).
The Fall. Definitely an acquired taste. Post punk talking vs singing delivery. I prefer Wire…a band you’d like I bet. Ex Lion Tamer and The 15th show two sides to this great band. The Fall have a song called “Totally Wired” that you’ll squint and smile to…;) Superdrag has a bigger banger that sounds almost like The Replacements if they went more pop. “Lighting the Way” is by far my fave Superdrag track. I love Westerberg’s voice too. “Can’t Hardly Wait” ranks just a bit higher than “Bastards of Young” purely because of the pop sensibility. If you haven’t reacted to it…maybe give it a try. Bernard Butler(McAlmont & Butler) was the guitarist for the first couple of Suede albums which I’m sure you know, but wasn’t sure if you reacted to any Suede? We Are the Pigs and The Wild Ones are great appetizers to react to. The Kinks. Who can deny these guys? The tax man came and took all his dough. Waterloo Sunset and Village Green Preservation Society are my fave tracks. But, they have so many to choose from. You might like The Small Faces. Another great 60s band sort of lost in the shadow of the Beatles & The Stones. “Tin Soldier” is def the starter track… Grab your shorty shorts and tank top, I need someone to mow my lawn…;)
Great choice for number one. 👍 Try doing one of Dave Davies' songs - Strangers is excellent.

A very good top 20 selection. I'm particularly pleased that a couple of my favourite bands, The Sundays and Squeeze, are included.
Happy new year Nick 🎉🥰

Thank you! I do feel a lot better today than last year!
Love your list! Another banger by Julian Cope is "Poet is Priest." Not guitar-laiden, but strange and driving. ❤
I'm with you. Listening to my own voice played back creeps me out. And video is even creepier. I look like that? I sound like that?
Exactly! I get annoyed with myself lol

That last part made me literally laugh out loud! 50 bucks I'm all yours!
Have you lost weight? Look'n good.
