Can't wait to see what the Grateful Dead put out for the 60th Anniversary Celebration. One Size Fits All by Frank Zappa turns 50 this year. Would love to see a box set for it. Rush is supposed to have R50 coming out. I would love it if The Beatles finally released the remastered Rubber Soul album. I was anticipating it for 2024 but that didn't happen. Happy New Year Brandon !!!! Keep on Rocking
I'm a huge U2 fan, but over the past 20 years they've been talking about that "next rock album" and then we get "Songs of whatever." I hope they go back to basics and give us a rock album finally. And a tour.
Can't believe it's been 20 years since Savatage released Poets and Madmen. The tour to support that album was the first and only time I saw them in concert. I understand TSO is the moneymaker but hope they keep recprding and touring as Savatage after this Curtain Call release.
Phoenix rockers Icon have been cutting material for their first new album in 36+ years, but it has been a long process. There's been some scant hints on their Facebook page and even some posted video clips of the band at work in the studio, but no word yet of any release date. And the full classic lineup from their first two albums is on board, including vocalist Stephen Clifford and guitarist John Aquilino who had left during or after 1985. Interestingly enough, successive guitarist Drew Bollman is one of the moderators of that FB group.
Happy New Year Brendon, Guns and Roses 18 years didn’t realize , can’t wait to hear all New, Lynyrd Skynyrd 15 years, I can’t wait for all they are doing they are my favorite band from day one , Brendon Thank You, you are awesome, Steve. ZZ Top awesome can’t wait Brendon
Happy New Year! It's going to be interesting to see. With QUEEN I'd like to see it, again it would be a QUEEN + situation, I like the idea of what they could do with Adam that would be more of diverse record, I did not like the pairing of Rodgers with Queen, and the record honestly I think I listened once and never went back to it. But this pairing would be more interesting for sure. I'm hopeful for a new U2 and still hoping for a Michael Stipe full record not just single drops here and there. As for things not officially announced, McCartney has recently dropped a hint that a new album in 2025 is his wish, and I don't doubt him on this at all. This was mentioned during the summer as being "in the can" but just about a week ago confirmed as coming by Spring 2025 and that is the Doobie Brothers, this will feature McDonald in there with Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons and John McFee obviously a few members have passed but the core of this band and founder is there and looking forward to this record for sure though I'm not crazy about John Shanks in there as Producer because he "at times" is more than a producer he becomes a member, so I hope that will not be the case and with the legendary status of the Doobies and there sound Shanks will stay in his lane.
Triumph has some big announcements coming for 2025. I'm hearing rumors that they are getting together to tour. Not sure if they will have any new material but that would be awesome!
TBH I’d be shocked if they toured only because they have always said they never will because the cost to put on a show like they used to can’t be done with what they’d be paid. And it’s not like the stature of the bad has grown. But if they have come around and feel like they could now tour without the stage show that would be cool.
Hi Brendon, was wondering if you also have a dvd collection of music documentaries, concerts, etc. cannot believe the ones I've found in thrift stores. For instance, the Gimme Shelter documentary on bluray for $1aud. collections now over 400.
Love Hide Your Heart and it's parent album, Lightning Strikes Twice, but honestly, I find a lot to enjoy on all the Phil McCormack releases, and I have high hopes for the upcoming one, too.
I can't wait for the brand new Skynyrd and Molly hatchet albums. I read that Molly hatchet is waiting for their record label spv steamhammer to release the album. As for Skynyrd, I did read for a new live and studio albums that featured the late Gary rossington on guitar released in 2025. Plus the new zz top studio album is ready for release in 2025 with both bass guitar parts by the late Dusty hill and current Bass guitariest Elwood Francis says Billy gibbons. Take care
That would be awesome if alice cooper and his band puts out a album. Have you seen the muscle of love review where this guy talks to the original members about the album that has came out .
13:00 I'm sorry but I can't accept a new "Queen" album without Freddie Mercury or even John Deacon. With certain bands, the loss of their members is non-negotiable and with replacements it's not Queen now. If Brian May and Roger Taylor want to work together on new material and it's "The May-Taylor Project" or a snappier name than that, I am fine with it. This is no reflection on Adam Lambert, no criticism of him as a singer or performer, but when Brian May & Roger Taylor work with him it's a tribute act- it's not Queen. If Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr do something together now, it's Paul & Ringo, it's not the Beatles. I grew up being very aware of Queen with Freddie Mercury as such a great frontman/performer/songwriter/figurehead of the group, he is totally irreplaceable. No one can 'fill in' for him. I can't accept them with anyone else - I am fine with Roger and Brian still working, having a career, working on the Queen legacy, writing and recording new music- but it's insulting people's intelligence to call their new material by the name Queen.
Agreed, usually i am always fine with new frontmen in bands, and always give the music a chance if it's a band that i like and they have a new singer. But in this situation we are talking about one of the most legendary bands of all time with one of the most iconic frontmen and singers of all time. Freddie Mercury is Queen. They should never make a new album with a new singer.
It will never be 'the same' without the late great Midnight, but I would be intrigued to hear an album by the current incarnation of Crimson Glory. Rob Zombie is due for new music based on his typical timeline/patterns.
Excited for the Savatage album but hope it has Jon Oliva as the primary vocalist. Never been a big fan Of Zak Stevens vocals. Also still waiting for King Diamond to release their new album, which had its lead single come out in late 2019 with the proclamation that it was from "The Institute", coming soon.
It’s expected that Zak will be the primary vocalist. The album is expected to be organized much the same way Dead Winter Dead and Wake Of Magellan were with Jon in a support role.

It was reported waaaay back then that something was gonna come out but we know Axl loves taking his time, Duff has been making his records and Slash the workhorse is a non-stop machine doing his stuff. A new Queen album ? Lets face it, its just a money making venture. Queen sells, Brian May & Roger Taylor dont !! Queen should really just call it quits. Solo stuff - fine with that. Led Zeppelin called it quits when they lost Bonham - I think its about time Queen did. Thats no slight on Adam Lambert - he did a great job. Call the band something else - May, Lambert & Taylor (MLT) sounds great. Cya
