@@taynell I think you can try to flatten them down a bit or shape them into a ring. You might need to use air fryer cooking paper so the crushed pineapple doesn’t fall through the openings in your air fryer basket. 🍍
This particular model I have has that dehydrate button which does temperature at less than 150°F. I have tried to do the bake setting at the lowest temp and I didn’t get the same results. The lowest temp I could get was still too hot to slowly dehydrate the pineapples. It’s such a bummer they didn’t put this feature in all the machines.
@@HangingwJK lol yea I had bought 2 pineapples(points to Kroger for having 2 for $3)pineapple and skinned it, cut it into rounds with the core intact, and sliced it into 1/2 to 3/4 inch slices and they are currently sitting in a bag. I did one batch after your video just to see if it would work and I like it! Had to stop myself before the enzymes made my mouth raw lol! I bet it would be good with tajin sprinkled on as well!
@@rebekahrigby6765 wow that sounds pretty creative and cost effective. Glad that the pineapples didn’t go to waste and that you were able to enjoy the dehydrated snack. I think they taste like candy after I dehydrate them.
i was thinking the same thing, especially when he was talking about no added sugar!! those things have a LOT of added sugar pluus a lot of preservatives and things i caan't even pronounce!!! but the point wasn't what he was actually using i guess bc he did say you could use fresh many many times. the point was how to do it.
Yeah exactly. The best way to use it is with fresh pineapple but the easier option is a can. Usually store bought dehydrated pineapple has added sugar for a coating. 🤙
Dehydrated pineapple is my favorite!😋
Agreed. Dehydrated pineapple is so good. Thanks for watching and subscribing. 🤙
Thanks for the video, I’m gonna try it today👍🏽
I hope it turns out good. It’s a great treat to enjoy when it’s all done. 🤙
Omg! Thank you. I'm trying this.
Hope they turn out great. Enjoy. Thanks for subscribing and watching. 🤙🍍
Thanks for sharing JK. I’m gonna make these for my 3 year old granddaughter & me!
You’re very welcome. My kiddo loves these as a sweet treat snack or dessert. Enjoy 🤙. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
For pineapple chunks, would you have to mash to flatten them first
So you’re wanting to use pineapple chunks instead of a pineapple ring?
@@HangingwJK yes.

I have the same one but I don't have the dehydrate button ? Can I still do this ?

Can I dehydrate plants to make tea?
Yes I think you could do that. It’s actually a great idea and I never thought about trying that. Hope to hear your follow up on how it turned out. 🤙
Can I freeze my pineapple till I get a full day to dehydrate them?
I would think that freezing it should work. I haven’t tried that but I like the idea.

Good lord. Canned fruit is fine. Some of y’all need to calm your teats.
I agree…canned fruit is still fruit and and you just buy the item that’s best for your budget and needs. You hit the nail on the head 👍
