Definitely a scene that would have pleased fans if they shot it and kept it. I’ve only read the beginning though. Hopefully there’s much more Michael and maybe some answers to all the shit that was going on in the movie.
@@bl5533 did you check out the subreddit? Here’s something cool I learned: the homeless guy that Corey kills is actually Michaels “caretaker” and his name is Nelson Christopher (after Chris Nelson obviously). His backstory is really interesting. In short, they were in SG together under the care of Sartain and Nelson pretty much devoted himself to following Michael. He escaped the night Michael did because he was on the bus with him. Really cool stuff that should have been in the movie but…nope.
I feel at the end when Laurie was like "do it" was because she had basically lost everyone she has really cared about and felt her "story" was over so why not go down fighting with the monster. Because there really wasn't a way for her to accurately describe to Allyson how Corey kills himself and the other people at least without Allyson being all crazy and very angry over her new boy toy dieing at the hands of her Grandmother.
another thing with Michael and Corey; we see little characteristics and body movements akin to Michael that Corey kind of copys such as the heavy breathing, stalking, slow walking even one scene where he sits up in a very Michaelistic way so I think just as Michael always has one more ace up is sleeve to sit up again after a huge amount of damage Corey happens to have that essence or power or supernatural stuff that may ha e transferred to him from Michael and then Michael takes back his power from Corey and officially kills him
and one more thing I might add is during the final fight Michael is still seriously fucking strong but he's more of a brute in it than the kind of stealthy/better tactician plus the brutalness that we got in Kills and 2018 and we see that Michael is still stupidly strong as he still is able to throw around Laurie like a doll in her house a bunch of times it's only when Laurie kind of does either cheapshots or literally outmanuvers Michael quicker than he can get to her. I say this because this allows me to kind of believe the little montage of Michael and Laurie when she's getting choked as she still thinks Allyson is done with her and she still thinks that there is nothing left for her. we also see once the blood is cleaned off her throat we see the bruising caused by Michael's 'weak' hand.
For me, Michael taking people into the sewer was the evil within him looking for a new host because Michael was dying. Each person he took down there wasn't worthy or right so he killed them. Corey was a means to an ends to get to the evils next chosen vessel Laurie. But they chose not to use that ending.
Hey guys I just got the novelization today and I really hope everyone reads it! If they would have filmed everything they had wrote it would have easily been the best Halloween since the original. Hands down. It’s fantastic!
In my mind, Michael sees his reflection in Corey’s eye and went in a trance like he usually dies when looking out Judith’s window and let him go. And then just as Laurie saw evil in his eyes, so did Micheal. Corey was already falling down an evil path, now just came face to face with evil, then immediately had to kill someone, making him fall ever farther. The descent into madness was natural, not passed on by Michael
I think DGG actually made the movie he wanted to make and ended the story the way audiences may have chosen given the fact that they had screened 2 different endings and this seems to be the popular one. Just finished watching the movie with you guys! Never thought I'd laugh my ass off whilst watching a Halloween movie. Stay cool Mike & J. Love your fuckin faces! :D
Here’s what I would have loved for this trilogy: Film #1: Leave Halloween 2018 as it is, but kill off Karen. Film #2: Take the entire concept for Halloween Ends and use it here. Corey’s night of babysitting is happening in 2018 and then we do a time jump. Michael is living in the sewer after his body wasn’t found in Laurie’s house after the fire. Laurie decides to live a more peaceful life because her daughter is gone and she truly feels at ease knowing the damage she did to Michael. Michael returns to full power by the end of the movie after we see him weak for most of the runtime, and by the end, Corey escapes. Film #3: Take the entire concept for Halloween Kills and use it here. Haddonfield has to deal with the bloodbath of Michael on the loose with Laurie, Lindsey, and Tommy (maybe Hawkins too) at the forefront and you have the added threat of Corey on the loose with Allyson at the forefront. Instead of Tivoli distracting people, you have Corey as a legitimate secondary threat. The legacy characters have their swan song and the trilogy has now crafted a new generation version of Laurie/Michael with Allyson and Corey. Make it a giant chaotic slasher movie with separate killing sprees happening at the same time involving characters that have been built up for two movies. Michael was a mostly forgotten entity before the events of 2018, and after he left his mark, Corey was a new monster partly created by Michael and partly created by the town, and then the ultimate finale is Haddonfield having to confront both of them.
it's horrible that David gordon green ruined the end of the trilogy just like he ruined the trilogy to begin with by not including Halloween 2 in the timeline Halloween movies only work when laurie and michael are siblings
Ok….another question we won’t get an answer for, but….how did Michael get those other people in the sewer? It was convenient coincidence with Cory….but does he go out to get the others? Or was Hobo McPherson luring them in for him? One cool thing, in the sewer, the shot looked like a giant eye several times.
You guys should do a skit where you do y'alls hilarious parody stuff, and then put a shot-for-shot reenactment of the wrestling scene between Cory/Michael (then it's like the wrestling scene from the Ends is a parody all by itself...see what I did there? Lol)
What movie did they show at the screening that got a standing ovation...the stories of Green going back and tweaking the movie over and over had to change it dramatically
For 40 years Haddonfield lives peacefully and happily with Michael on lockdown in Smith's Grove. Meanwhile Laurie has been living with PTSD the whole time, and then her ACTUAL WORST FEAR happens. Michael escapes and tries to kill her again. Now just 4 years later, she's ready to embrace life and move on. Psychologically that makes NO SENSE.
I thought the movie was great but like Mike I can understand why some ppl don’t like it.. I will say that imo all of the hate for this film will slowly fade away over time n it will end up being appreciated much more by a lot of the fan base because the acting was phenomenal across the board, the cinematography was gorgeous start to finish n the sound design was possibly the best ever in a franchise that is 13 movies deep n known for the quality of the music/sound design.. if season of the witch, a movie that Michael doesn’t even appear in can eventually become a cult classic n appreciated for what it is at some point down the road, then I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that Ends, a movie that is light years ahead H3 in quality and about every other aspect of what makes up a film will end up being appreciated n enjoyed by a lot of the fans who are hating on it right now(which again, I understand why it’s getting hated on but they subverted expectations w this movie n once that kinda wears off I think the hate will slowly go away w it) great watch along fella’s 🍻 cheers!
I’m convinced, and I’m shocked no one else has said this, that David Gordon Green is once again trolling us. “History repeats itself” and DGG did that in the 2 previous films as well. Michael breaks out of prison. Doctor is obsessed with him. Kills babysitters and fucks up Laurie’s world. Which film is this? Then we have a “direct” follow up of the same night taking place….in the hospital. Michael Myers copycats confuse the cops. Michael fucks up Lauries world. Which film? And finally……a movie not about Michael? A movie that has the balls to kill a kid? A love story no one really gives a shit about? Oh and a deviation of font and music. Which film? 🤔🤔🤔
I think Corey should’ve been Allyson’s bf from the beginning of H2018, that way their relationship would’ve already been established and wouldn’t feel rushed in Ends. Would also make Ends feel more related to the first 2.
I also love that over the trilogy as a whole, we basically got the three main pitches you could have for a Halloween flick. The first was the attempt to get back to the Carpenter roots in some ways. Then sequel which is an all out insane/silly body count movie like some of the later sequels. And now the 3rd movie finally incorporates leftover ideas from part 4 and combines them with John Carpenters original idea for where to go story wise with Michael. You know what else is funny? Out of all three, this one was the only one with any actual suspense.
I think more than anything I hate that we were so duped by marketing that this movie would be about Laurie and Michael. Their story seemed to be an afterthought. Was also disappointed that Lindsey and Frank had such brief scenes. I would have really liked to have seen a long, massive chase & fight with Michael vs. Laurie, Lindsey and Allyson throughout the whole house at the end with the women surviving. For me having all three involved would have made it powerful considering what his actions have done to each of their lives. Such missed opportunities.
I have seen Ends 3 times now and it gets worse for me every time. Also, remember all those people saying kills made Michael supernatural and used that as one of the reason kills sucked? Well, some of those people now like Ends even though they give Michael possession powers😐....
@@mornecloete4250 posses. Transfer his evil or whatever bullshit they came up with. Myers taking some gunshots and being stabbed is way more believable than the possession angle or whatever the fuck they call it.
I love the movie but yeah I do wish a few things was changed in it like give us a few more scenes with Michael and give him more kills. Another thing is I hope they put in the off screen kills in the unrated version. I also would like to see Corey live in that version. Also maybe 40 more minutes added to the movie. I actually love long movies.
I still think Corey is faking the whole shy boy with glasses facade. He was strong when he was kicking in that door on poor Jeremy (acts the same way when he couldn’t get the the nurse) breaking a glass bottle with his bare hands? Outside of the band kids, who do we see bullying Corey? No one. I think he been looking for MM and that’s why the bum gives him a long look at the store.
Imagine if the final battle ended up in the Myers house. Obviously they established that they tore it down, but how cool would that have been? So many squandered possibilities 😢
Love yu Mike and Jay! Love all the Halloween commentaries yu guys do including Loomis and Michael unboxing which is hilarious! Btw Jay im curious did yu get married?
As far as the AHS comparison; I’ve been saying it since last Thursday, they should have made an AHS type series and called it Haddonfield that could focus on Michaels evil poisoning the town. They could have used Corey in that show as opposed to sticking him in the middle of a Laurie/Michael story. Also, I hated Allyson in this. Her whole obsession w Corey and her willingness to turn her back on Laurie over him…she knew the mf for like a day or 2 😂. Shit seemed so disingenuous along with pretty much everything else in the movie. It explained the whole radio tower thing though, I guess 😂 Allyson’s wack love struck ass sets it on fiyah. Great writing DGG 🚮📡

Which film? 🤔🤔🤔
SO TRUE
I think Corey should’ve been Allyson’s bf from the beginning of H2018, that way their relationship would’ve already been established and wouldn’t feel rushed in Ends. Would also make Ends feel more related to the first 2.
Cameron was better. A cheater is definitely preferable to a killer.
@@PittsburghSportsFan43 his death scene in Kills was great though
When I was watching this I immediately thought of you guys when they fought over the mask 🤣🤣
They probably could have done better than the movie.
@@starrynight3789 I didn't hate the movie but I felt it could of been done better and I don't disagree with anybody that doesn't like it
I also love that over the trilogy as a whole, we basically got the three main pitches you could have for a Halloween flick.
Don't you think the whole end scene in 2018 had more suspense than this whole movie? lol
I think the entire damn trilogy was lacking in suspense. Nobody gets that Michael is supposed to about atmosphere and suspense, not bloody kills.
Dude corey as michael driving the truck is all halloweenb4
I looked it up thats not the guy from seven Mike, but he does look just like him dude, love u guys!
I have seen Ends 3 times now and it gets worse for me every time. Also, remember all those people saying kills made Michael supernatural and used that as one of the reason kills sucked? Well, some of those people now like Ends even though they give Michael possession powers😐....
He doesn't possess anyone 🙈
@@mornecloete4250 posses. Transfer his evil or whatever bullshit they came up with. Myers taking some gunshots and being stabbed is way more believable than the possession angle or whatever the fuck they call it.
@@ENT8801 he didn't transfer anything to Corey for sure that's what makes it such an interesting story, there is three different ways to interpret it
@@mornecloete4250 agree to disagree 🤝
I love the movie but yeah I do wish a few things was changed in it like give us a few more scenes with Michael and give him more kills. Another thing is I hope they put in the off screen kills in the unrated version. I also would like to see Corey live in that version. Also maybe 40 more minutes added to the movie. I actually love long movies.
Fantastic!
Michael Myers is a Killer Shark!
Can you put this on podcasts app 😁😁
Imagine if the final battle ended up in the Myers house. Obviously they established that they tore it down, but how cool would that have been? So many squandered possibilities 😢
They kind of already did that in Kills
Ahh you missed the opportunity to sing “Jeremy brokkee hiiis. Neckkkk todaaayyy”
fuck yes watching this tonight when i get off work!
Love yu Mike and Jay! Love all the Halloween commentaries yu guys do including Loomis and Michael unboxing which is hilarious! Btw Jay im curious did yu get married?
Keep it up guys..
I do like Lindsey in this movie bc we see her closeness and bff stuff with Laurie and Allyson. That was closure enough for her character for me.
Holy shit she was like instantly obsessed with him. I couldn't understand it and it all felt as if she was paid by someone corey knows to be friends with him and give him some confidence.
