Agreed. I liked amh's portrayal of Tommy too. I really got the sense that Tommy was torn between being tough and being completely terrified. He was determined not to be scared like he was when he was a kid, he was kinda like Karen and even a little like Laurie in H18, putting on that tough front, but you could reallyyyy see it in Tommy's eyes he was terrified the whole time. That's why they needed an established actor to play Tommy, that's not easy to pull off.
There are several little moments when we see this insight into both of their characters, how afraid and affected they Still are after their encounters with Myers. It was such awesome acting on both their parts. The recognition and utter fear of the firefighters in the beginning were great to watch as well. They knew exactly who/what came out of that burning house, telling us word had already started getting around that He Came Home
I just don't want "Ends" to be dated with pandemic type stuff. I want these to be timeless and I don't need to really be reminded of these shitty 2 years.
If I had to guess it’s not going to be overtly showcasing the pandemic. But they already said End will be smaller and more intimate. So I think any pandemic stuff will be more about isolation
Love how When chambers went "this is for Loomis" it mirrored the scene in Halloween 2(1981) when loomis is out of bullets and gets stabbed by the scalpel. So it legit was for Loomis. ...in a tribute kind of way
You guys had so much going on you missed my superchat last night! It’s all good though I was just so happy you guys made it over 1K! I think it said “the only thing as good as finally seeing Halloween Kills is being able to finally watch you two talk about it! Stay Nasty boys!”
When the Dr. was stabbed in the eye and through the brain, the music/sound effect cue was so badass, and had kind of a Halloween 2 feeling to it. So brutal, but an awesome death scene.
@@maloperverso8118 Well, no - he's missing his fingers. He's wrapped his hand with bandages where his fingers were blown off. Obviously done to give the actor a way to hide his fingers lol, but it's a cool character detail too. Like how Myers' face has the bullet wound on the cheek and the burned and crispy left side, just like his mask, bringing the man and The Shape closer together.
Lonnie hesitating on the porch kinda mirrors back to 1978 when he was dared to go up to the house. Only thing missing was Loomis telling him to get his ass away from there 😂 which got him killed this time.
The whole Hawkins thing with him refusing to let Loomis kill Michael is cool with me because it adds to the good people willing to do bad things theme. He was such a moral character in the retconned flashback scene, and now he’s willing to bend the rules in current time.
He can shrink and grow at will also, because of you look at the gun cubbie in Halloween 2018 and the gun cubbie in Halloween kills they are 2 different sizes. I thought maybe he pulled out the gun racks, but no they are clearly still in there when they show him in Kills. A person wouldn't have fit in that hole and been able to pull that door down.
I feel like Tommy yelling the "evil dies tonight" when exiting the hospital was meant for humor. It's just so ridiculous. I kinda like that I'll be laughing at that for years.
I have to say i am so happy to listen to you guys gush about this movie. So many people are trashing it, and I really just wanted to hear a review that was longer than 20 minutes and was talking about how much you loved it. and i thank you for this 3 hour halloween kills love fest. I know the movie had issues, but I still loved it and thought it was a "killer" good time. And knowing that the director himself said this movie was meant to be just chaos unleashed and an in between movie, and the last movie will be more story focused... It made even more sense to me. Thanks yall. will be going back to try to see it again soon!
Exactly. It's was a fun slasher movie meant to be the bridge between Halloween 2018 and Halloween Ends. And it was chaos and fear unleashed in Haddonfield.
The song that was playing in that car with the escapee was Figaro, the same thing that one crazy dude was yelling in the nut house in 2018 at the beginning
Sondra is the caretaker who takes Dana and Aaron to Judith's headstone, we revisit her in Kills with her husband and she gets to see Michael's death. I don't think many realize that's her. She's in all three.
I was thinking back to Hawkins in 2018, but Sartain ran his ass over. Wtf. Idk the logistics of that kind of accident and the 4 year gap between kills and ends, but I assume that was enough time for him to recoup since 2018's events
I rewatched 2018. And noticed a couple new things since seeing kills…. The Dr Nurse couple are in the film and see Micheal. It’s the scene that is a long one take with him stabbing the chick Thru the back of her throat!! It was pretty cool to see them pay attention to that much detail…. Way better than Micheal wearing a pink mask with white hair!!! Great movie
My daughter was laughing her head off at all the kill scenes, my son was cheering Micheal on and I was sitting in the middle going I'm not with them!!! Lol.
Also when you guys started talking about Michael using a smartphone, i was thinking the other day that yall should do A Video of Loomis teaching him how to use a SmartPhone and then take him to but a new Phone.
Michael has always had a flair for the theatrical. My favorite part was then he dragged the dude out into the kitchen just to turn him into a pin cushion in front of his wife, until he found a knife he liked and just... walked. I noticed the thing with Big and Little John too, and there's NO reason to do that other than to just fuck with people. I think he might be a little unhinged.
I freaking LOVE Halloween Kills (and unfortunately, I saw it only once). The Opening titles, the score, the flashback, AMH being AWESOME, etc. However, the scene with the mental patient... Dude just wanted some help! Damn scene made me sad. Even more so now after finding out that the actor (Ross Bacon, I believe) passed away. 100% getting it when it comes out on DVD. Will definitely try to go see the movie again in the theater.
In terms of Micheal getting back to his house to kill Karen, although the movie was edited to speed up the events, I'm sure it took longer. As Karen consoled her daughter to make sure she was alright, Micheal was busy slaughtering the remains of the mob. He probably didn't go back in the same direction from which he chased Karen into the trap, an went another way, going into the back door of his house, through the kitchen, and up the stairs. Plus we all know Micheal is a stealth master, so it really needs no explanation.
For those interested in the Novelization, the print version doesn’t come out for another week, but for some reason the audiobook version is already out on digital. (Narrated by Balki from Perfect Strangers which is delightful)
@@WeWatchedAMovie If you and Jay do get him on the show, you guys would be the first people to interview him about halloween kills because nobody has done an interview with him yet
not going to lie !!! I FEEL ASLEEP!!! in the mid half of Halloween Kills... it was like at some point i got hit with a Sleeping Dart and i work up 60second later... but still was good just needed a edit in the middle to keep the movie moveing better.
Loved this film. Loved that they have finally etched Michael into the supernatural lore. Loomis was telling everyone he wasn't normal but they always took him as just a man. Lauri established he was more.
I kinda like that they did include the mob scene because from my perspective I feel it shows how badly things can end when fear causes panic and confusion it's not going to end well, it's sort of like what can happen in a real-world situation.
HK may be about guilt, especially considering the setup with Hawkins' story. Survivors' guilt, mob murder guilt, mob lawlessness guilt in not listening to the law, and individual guilt. Along with the mourning Haddonfield has to be going through with so many dead and gone. Imagine what the town looks like in the aftermath - homes empty, neighbors dead and many moved away after the mass funerals, everyone else unable to face what they've done and who they are deep down when it mattered. That's the meaning of the flashbacks as well. It sets up themes that HK and HE will deal with. Hawkins may have a bigger role in the next one because he's the one who set up the idea of needing to "fix" the mistakes made and made the point to Laurie Strode that it's not just about her. And if Covid is going to play a role, it's possible that the quarantine means everyone will have to be alone with their pain and regret, and when they meet up here and there, it's uncomfortable. Plus, wondering if Myers will come back every Halloween when they're vulnerable. Remember, one of the hidden things we've had to deal with with the lockdowns is the mental health issues people are suffering from. Hopefully, it won't just be heavy-handed political commentary with Haddonfield fighting about being pro-mask and anti-mask because they banned all masks after HK. haha
The people at the theater probably thought I was a psycho because during the whole flashback with Loomis and Hawkins made me have the biggest shit eating grin
As far as Michael just showing up places, we see him essentially teleporting in the original. When Laurie looks out the widow and he’s at the clothesline and disappears in a second. And when he shows up in the house at the end.
I really liked 2018, I thought Kills was fun but only watched it once so far, I didn’t like the whole mob chasing that one guy, it was kinda unbelievable that people would think that guy is Michael Myers 😂 wasn’t keen on some of the dialogue either. I also had a problem with how they introduced all these original characters but they kinda just set them up to be knocked down one by one, I feel like they should have came at Michael harder because it got to the point where I really wanted Michael to kill them all lol. I’m not going to lie though I prefer Rob Zombies two movies over these two newest ones we have gotten although I don’t hate Kills or 2018 by any means
been avoiding your channel for months now because I didn't want any spoilers or anything for HKills. I stayed away from every trailer and article about it. All I knew going in was it started with the house fire. With that info, I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. It literally killed! Glad I can watch your guys videos again!!! Unfortunately, I'll be avoiding you guys again leading up to 5cream. I'm done with trailers! Love you guys and your sexy faces!!! You guys are definitely the highlight for me each and every Halloween!
First 20 minutes of the movie was AWESOME!!! The rest fell really flat! Lazy writing, horrible script, no atmosphere, that whole hospital scene was garbage, acting was ok, etc. The kills were great and Michael Myers looked the best since 78. Unfortunately this felt more like a Friday the 13th movie and not Halloween. Lots of kills with very little character development. Wish they spent more time with the legacy characters so we felt something when they died. Evil Dies Tonight became so cheesy and will become a drinking game. Overall I thought it was good just not great. I like Halloween 78, Halloween 2, Halloween 2018 and Halloween 4 better. Really hope they bring it all together in Halloween Ends.
I think Big/Little John were a callback to "Curse" cuz they were Realtors living in the Myers house, maybe they couldn't sell it? There is a bench in the scene outside of the shop when Tommy is rounding the mob where they have a realty advertisement of both Johns. It also shows some of the signs in the background when big John is singing the record.
A lot of people are praising the flashback scene. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was pretty cool but, in my opinion, there are some major problems with it. One glaring problem is one of the officers saying, "Loomis shot him multiple times in the chest" and none of the other officers are like, WTF? How can anyone survive that? That's how Brackett reacted in Halloween 2 1981. He was like, "no man can take six slugs." Then, when they "apprehend" him, they never address how he survived getting shot that many times in this movie or in Halloween 2018. I think its a big deal considering that was part of one of the biggest cliffhangers in cinema history. How did this "normal" guy get shot six times at basically point blank range, fall off a balcony, and just get up and walk away? Wouldn't a doctor at Smith's Grove discover six bullet wounds and be like, WTF? How did this man survive six gun shot wounds to the torso area? Just lazy writing by these creators
You guys are hilarious😂. Been watching since the original Halloween reviews!! I chose to only watch the first trailer that came out cause I didn’t want to spoil the movie so gland I did lol !!
Mike j thank you so much for having me it’s great to be. Back again. Your making me laugh so much to be safe and keep making more videos and love you guys to ♥️❤️♥️♥️♥️❤️♥️♥️❤️♥️♥️♥️
The dialogue in this movie was insulting. I love how Lonnie’s kid said something to the effect of how “Michael has infected my family for the past forty years”. Really? Just because your dad accidentally ran into a bad person before he even hit puberty one night 40 years ago, doesn’t mean it’s enough to explain away generational grief. I love Michael, but I’d be lying if I said all of the member berries weren’t a cheap ploy to get people in seats only to turn around and and give those characters dog shit dialogue and use them as throwaway characters. Great kills, but that’s all it has going for it.
People are complaining that Myers is now supernatural but that kinda was established in part 1. He was stabbed in the neck, stabbed in the stomach, stabbed in the eye, took 6 slugs from a revolver, fell out a 2 story house back first and walked away. BTW I loved Kills
Hi Mike & Jay !! Great live stream, you both went through so many different areas of the movie! I really really enjoyed seeing Halloween Kills with my older son… based on our personal situation with my dad ( he is still in hospital) it was really good for me to get out and enjoy an evening out, after the movie my son and I went to dinner to digest the movie so to say … ha ha. My favourite psrts1/ Michael Myers mask 2/ Michael’s kills a total bloodbath, he showed no mercy 3/ The expression on the firefighters faces when Michael walked out of the burning house…priceless 4/ I felt sorry for the inmate in the hospital as it was complete chaos, and in desperation jumped to his 💀 death 5/ the ending as Mike and J said there are so many different scenarios that could play out!! All and all I give it 8.5/10, so now we wait…. Luv you both!! I will watch it again in the next couple of days ! Take care WWAM fam ! Linda 🎃🎃🔪💕
U guys are the best. When Mike says certain $exual things on a fly followed by what, who as If it someone else. And J always had me cracking up especially as Loomis. Thank you guys for helping me through tough times
Also in curious on your guys' thoughts on the bully family, The Mulaney's. That it showed picking on Lonnie in the flashbacks. I feel like they might have a part in Ends. Just would seem weird to introduce the characters, with a line like, "you don't fuck with the Mulaney's and bring them back. Also the 3 kids messing with Big John and Little John, I feel could be related to them in some way. Haven t seen anybody mention them. Could be nothing.
The Halloween 2 footage is just of Annie on the stretcher when Brackett has the sheet pulled down to identify his daughter. It is a scene that definitely still works with Halloween 2 no longer being canon.
I’m not sure if this will even get read but here goes. This movie was awesome. It will not, by no means, win an Academy Award for best picture. Michael Myers definitely brought the pain in this movie. For those who hate this movie, come up with a script, pick up a camera and film a movie. 2018 was an awesome movie and this was an excellent compliment to that movie. 2018 brought the 1978 to new fans and rekindled that flame for the fans of yesteryear. Then this movie added the new flavor of today’s horror/suspense with the old school mentality of John Carpenter. Yes, the dialogue was campy, it’s a slasher. Yes, the edits were quick, it’s a slasher. Yes, the “Evil Dies Tonight” chant was overstated way too much, it’s a slasher. Yes, this movie was bad ass and I would be willing to put money that people will still watch it as time progresses. We can all nitpick the film but either way, Green nailed this movie and I am excited to see what’s in store for 2022. Mike/Jay and the WWAM family, y’all are awesome as always. Cheers from San Diego.
Agreed. I must thank God that they didn't do the same old crap that H4-6 and the Rob Zombie's Halloween movies did because I was worried they were going to fall into that again. The Burning Pumpkin opening sequence was incredible. The soundtrack is absolutely stellar, all thanks to our beloved John Carpenter. The 1978 flashbacks were amazingly spot on, it makes you feel like you were in 1978, and the cinematography was amazing. If you didn't know, they didn't deepfake or CGI someone to look like Loomis, they actually did makeup and prosthetics, and it is gorgeous. A couple of scenes that really do pump your adrenaline, and a lot of awesome gory kills! I do feel like this was scarier and better than the 2018 film. I will say that it was great to see the old cast returning. Tommy was a wonderful tough presence. I was quite sad to see him die. Speaking of the kills. I feel so bad for that guy who escaped and from Smith's Grove, and the people thought he was Michael meanwhile Karen was keep screaming that he wasn't Michael, and she was being ignored. That hit me deep in the guts. I loved how Karen was protecting him, locking the doors. As the crowd tried to get to him, he chose to jump off the building since he didn't want to get hurt. He was so scared. =,( God damn, man. I think this one is my personal favorite kill. Although Michael didn't kill him, the gore effects were astounding. Definitely taking the first place being the goriest Halloween movie. The movie said a lot about society and said it well done. We Humans are truly evil, and against each other. The scene where the firefighters were watering down the house as Michael killed them one by one was great. What makes it greater is the shot where he steps out of the house, and you can see the firefighters' shock seeing him. They gathered out fire axes and some saw-blade thing coming together to fight him, but it led to them being killed by the stronger upper hand of the Shape. That scene where Michael murders an old couple in their house was satisfying when he was picking what kitchen knife he should use (( he lost it in the fight. )) and stabs the knives on the guy's back. Oh, that moment when Michael slammed that car door on the Nurse, and the gun fires back at her. Beautiful. Although, I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of Laurie Strode. But, it makes sense that she needed to recover from the wounds she got from Michael. About Michael, he is absolutely ruthless in this one. His mask looks way more badass with the burn mark on him. "I must thank God that they didn't do the same old crap that H4-6" About that, they almost did the same thing where Karen was presumably taken by evil as she was standing over the same spot where Michael's sister was killed but died due to Michael. Karen was a likable character than she was in the 2018 movie. She seemed pretty smart. Props to her kicking a lot of azz. It was sad to see her go. Although, I do agree that the rules of a horror movie are that someone important has to eventually die. Big John and Little John were enjoyable characters. I laughed so hard when one of them said: "One cold night, Michael Myers stabbed her sister in the tits." We can all agree that Cameron was an azzhole in the 2018 film. He cheated on Allyson, AND THREW ALLYSON'S PHONE INTO A BOWL OF PUDDING! But, in this one. He became a redeeming forgiving and likable character. His death was completely brutal. I thought he was going to be decapitated judging by where his head was placed. Speaking of Allyson, she was portrayed better and tried to put up a fight with Michael. There is not that much to say about her, but hopefully, we will see her character develop in the next film since it has been confirmed that we are getting a big-time skip. That scene where Michael is faced with the town of Haddonfield was probably the best scene, it was a slaughterhouse, and the soundtrack was so god damn amazing. Michael would later get his azz beat up by having a knife stabbed to his neck, with multiple brute forces like that lovely little callback where a citizen fires at him six times. I love the narration of Laurie here as Michael rises, and begins his massacre. "I always thought Michael Myers was flesh and blood, just like you and me, but a mortal man could not have survived what he's lived through. The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat. Fear. People are afraid. That is the true curse of Michael. It is the essence of evil. The anchor that divides us. It is the terror that grows stronger when we try to hide. If they don't stop him tonight, maybe we'll find him tomorrow. Or next Halloween, where the sun sets and someone is alone. You can't close your eyes and pretend he isn't there. Because he is." That gave me some chills down my spine. And of course, a cliffhanger! Great unexpecting last five minutes of the movie. I think this was a good decision to do a cliffhanger because you don't want to use that same old method where Michael is defeated, then revived in the next movie, and repeat. I can't wait for next year! Now, for all of those who are complaining "Oh, what is the point in making more Halloween movies. Just kill Michael off already!" Not sure if you heard of this, but Michael is arguably a supernatural being. This isn't supposed to be all realistic, you know. But, I do agree that the paramedic twist in Halloween: Resurrections was one of the worst BS writing ever done in Cinema History, and cheapened H2O. Like, how did he survive being pinned by a van against a tree? Not taking his mask off / screaming. Besides my rambling. And yes, of course, the dialogue isn't all that strong, don't expect every horror movie to have interesting dialogue, a tight plot, and the slasher to appear long as the runtime. I don't think the acting was bad, but it was the script. I do agree that the movie was too marketed, and kind of ruined the movie. "Oh, not enough gore!" We got that a lot in the final trailer, but if you didn't see it and watch the movie. Too many trailers that we got, even though we fans were hyped for it. It is a slaughterhouse. Is the movie perfect? No.
Why is know body amazed at Michael clearing that 12foot fence... how much yard time was he getting in that Ward..and that...how the fuck NOBODY in the town don't know what he looks he's been at a ward that didn't seem that far away
So when Loomis shot Michael multiple times in 78 and then in Hk flashback then captured him Do u guys think they took him to the hospital to take out the bullets or did they leave the bullets in him while he was at the mental asylum
I don’t think Michael being back in the house so quickly is an issue. They were only one or two streets over. Presumably Michael slayed the mob just moments after Karen left. By the time we are back to Karen, EMTs are there, so some time has passed. Little John left the back door unlocked.
When they said maybe he went to high school, all I could think was a montage of Micheal learning how to stab in a classroom to the song Back To School by Richard Wolf & Mark Leonard.
Both of the new movies had awesome music!! I think it adds so much to the movie!!! He really deserves a lot of credit for how amazing the music sets the moods
Idk. My issue is that gore and whatever reminds me too much of Jason. The thing that made 1978 made so scary for me was the suspense. It was scary even without being overly gory. I'll watch Ends, but no of these new movies top 1978 for me.
btw, anybody notice there's exactly 12 pumpkins in the opening credits and how the last one gets the most intense? their attention to details like that are right under people noses. bravo
Just watched it again. In the flashback scene when Loomis says "STOP! Michael, stay back!" there's a blonde haired cop leaning against a car and pointing a gun who looks a lot like the deputy who helped out Loomis in H2. Another easter egg?
I missed the live last night but could you imagine if the town was like ok so he comes every halloween so were all just gonna dip out and the entire town dips out for halloween night and micheal shows up to a ghost town. Hed be confused as fuck lmao
@@WeWatchedAMovie over here thinking damn gotta ruin a good thing now i gotta go do this shit in some new town and completely start over this is some bull shit
I’m curious about Michael not caring about Laurie and just wanting to “go home.” If he didn’t care about her then I would think he wouldn’t have cared about stalking her in 1978. I feel like he has to have some bent towards pursuing Laurie specifically.
People keep trying to mental gymnastics that shit to white knight 2018 and now Kills completely ignoring the scenes from Halloween where he was specifically stalking her, standing outside the school watching her. Then following her home and standing in the yard staring up at her window..... There is no universe where he wasn't specifically stalking her...But then again Kills had that dumb fucking stupid line about the mind of a 6 year old boy in the body of a man
I cant believe Jay just said the Mickey loves ya from Rocky when talking about Michael being beat up, I swear I left that exact comment on Rudy’s Movie Reviews chat with Cody Leach about Halloween Kills 😂
I’m not necessarily nitpicking, just wondering, since Michael was to come out of Laurie’s burning house eventually, why wait and hide at all? Wasn’t the fire worse by the time the firefighters arrived (not that he was necessarily SCARED of the fire, but you’d think he’d be SMART about the fire). I know he likes to kill, but it seems weird to wait, get out of the gun locker exposing himself to a fire that has worsened, just to kill. Michael is often patient with his kills, but this situation doesn’t really fit. He wouldn’t know when they’d arrive.
@@DD-eight, not to my knowledge. I’m guessing maybe the fire brought down a beam that he was able to climb up on to get out of the basement (?). But before all that, it seems he purposely put himself in the gun locker (it show it opening, to the surprise of that downed firefighter). I don’t know, maybe it was a beam or something piled up that made escape possible, but if not, and it’s supposed to be Michael’s mysterious M.O. that got him out, why wouldn’t he have just got out immediately I wonder (BEFORE first responders every got there). Sidenote: To be fair, after another watch, the fire seemed less crazy in that immediate area by the time that firefighter fell into the basement. So maybe Michael kind of needed the fire to be raging less in order to escape. So maybe that’s the justification.
A better movie would’ve been that the whole town is pissed off that Michael keeps coming back because of Laurie And they turn against her- teenagers graffiti her house, slash her tires in public, mock her. And there’s two main guys that rally the town against her. And they’re tormenting her. And the same story happens with Cory. Same exact scenario where the boy dies at the beginning. So he is mocked also and he feels the same connection to Laurie because the teenagers are picking on him too. They are both being tormented and mocked and shunned and the entire thing plays out the same way. Corey snaps the same way- he finds Michael where he had fallen into the sewer stuck between cement after becoming weak from part 2- they have the same evil power exchange - he starts luring the teenage tormentors into the sewer where Michael can still use his arms to kill them. Michael regains his strength and frees himself and sees Corey as someone who helped him - Corey and Michael go after all of rest of the people including the two main bad guys that are tormenting Laurie. Laurie realizes what is happening from a distance since she is stalking Corey because he is dating her granddaughter and tries to stop Corey - so it becomes a battle between good and evil- meanwhile the town sees Michael is back and goes after Laurie saying if she dies, Michael will die too- they accidentally kill a few people couple people thinking it’s Laurie - while she is gone into hiding - Corey knows that Laurie knows what he Is doing and goes to find Laurie the same way - while The town is out and crazy, the same ending happens where she has her encounter with Michael in her house - she realizes she can end this through Corey and when Michael turns on Corey and they begin to kill each other, Laurie does her thing and traps Michael like she did in this Movie. The town comes to kill Laurie where she tells them she has finally caught Michael. They are amazed - same scene plays out where the town comes out. It would have been amazing to show in the meat grinder scene a moment between her and Michael where she acknowledges he killed her family but he also took out all her tormentors in the town - every single main aggressor that was making her life miserable before he goes into the grinder SLOWLY - his death becomes her redemption in the eyes of the town - Corey is wounded but is present at the Michael meat grinder scene and it is HE who takes the mask…. Leaving it open for more movies
To me the criticism of this movie is hilarious. Could the dialogue/writing be better? Sure, but a lot of shit could be better. Who the fuck goes into a horror/slasher film expecting Oscar worthy writing? Who watches these kinds of films for that? The movie as a whole delivered on the promise of being a great SLASHER film. We got awesome kills, tons of gore and probably the greatest fucking version of Michael in the entire franchise. The film wasn’t perfect by any stretch and could’ve done without the entire hospital aspect as it added nothing to the movie, but overall it’s a great entry in series and certainly better than some of the older sequels. It was definitely a fun watch and that’s what a slasher movie is supposed to be. Anyone who wants a film with better writing than maybe check out Dances With Wolves, it’s currently streaming on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.
I mean people say they don’t watch slashers for dialogue which is true for the most part but then everyone constantly craps on Rob Zombies dialogue lol. I personally prefer Robs dialogue over the dialogue in Kills but we all have preferences
At the end there's a bit of a time jump with the montage. When Karen walks back into the Myers house, Michael is already in the house. Earlier, Karen stabs Michael then walks back/Michael kills everyone>Karen consoles Allyson & paramedics show up/Michael goes home>Karen looks at the window and wonders about young Michael and what goes on in his head like Officer McCabe>Karen goes up to Judiths room and looks out of the window/Michaels already in the house>Kills Karen as cops are showing up on scene> I'm sure Michael will figure a way out
Michael has always been able to literally teleport since the first movie when Laurie was looking out the window and Michael is standing by the clothesline and literally disappeared and Laurie never even looked away and he vanished into thin air
Awesome live stream about Halloween Kills, Michael was just a fucking badass in that movie 🤘🏻. Also can't wait for tomorrow's video!!! Love you guys 🖤.
Here’s what I think. In the flashback we see Michael shut down after attacking the cop. Insinuating Michael is going back to a comatose state like when after killing Judith. After recreating the night in Kills after stabbing Karen he goes back to that state. I’m sure they will use the alternative ending as the opening with additional things like how Michael got back in the house and what happens after that.
Maybe Allison takes on a Dr. Loomis like roll she wants to make sure nobody mentally turns in to someone like her uncle Mikey and through this journey of her becoming a psychiatric doctor gets reacquainted with Michael or hears about him still being at large and that becomes her mission to stop in once and for all and they have a grand finale DAMN IT!
My favorite line from that movie was Hawkins describing Michael, “He’s a six year-old kid, with body of a grown man & the mind of an animal.” The only part I’d change is replace ‘the mind of an animal’ with ‘the mind & soul of a demon’. I don’t know, what do you guys think?
Older Lonnie had the most authentic reaction and acting in the movie I thought, teared up, confused and scared and all! Loved him!
My thoughts exactly! When they arrived upon the bodies in the park his reaction felt like a punch to the gut!
Agreed. I liked amh's portrayal of Tommy too. I really got the sense that Tommy was torn between being tough and being completely terrified. If I had to guess it’s not going to be overtly showcasing the pandemic. But they already said End will be smaller and more intimate. So I think any pandemic stuff will be more about isolation
But it’s reality deal with it
@@gorcsauce696 but it’s a movie
Lonnie was one of my fave characters. And Cameron was actually likeable in this one
Agreed!
When Hawkins Killed his Partner Michael was like "Damn it, why you gotta steal my kill man... What do you think this is? Call of fuckin duty?"
It's odd that Michael doesn't try to kill Hawkins. When he totally could have.
Love how When chambers went "this is for Loomis" it mirrored the scene in Halloween 2(1981) when loomis is out of bullets and gets stabbed by the scalpel. So it legit was for Loomis. ...in a tribute kind of way
I cringed harder than when Laurie said "Happy Halloween, Michael" in 2018.
It's sad that even some of the die hard Halloween fans hated this movie but I don't see the hate imo. I loved the hell out of this movie.
You guys had so much going on you missed my superchat last night! It’s all good though I was just so happy you guys made it over 1K! I think it said “the only thing as good as finally seeing Halloween Kills is being able to finally watch you two talk about it! Stay Nasty boys!”
Thank you so much Michael! Sorry we missed it! Fuck yeah though!
When the Dr. was stabbed in the eye and through the brain, the music/sound effect cue was so badass, and had kind of a Halloween 2 feeling to it. So brutal, but an awesome death scene.
Actually, I'm rewatching the movie now and noticed Michael bandaged his hand at the old couples house bathroom next door to Laurie's burning house.
You mean His Fingers!?
@@maloperverso8118 Well, no - he's missing his fingers. He's wrapped his hand with bandages where his fingers were blown off.
Obviously done to give the actor a way to hide his fingers lol, but it's a cool character detail too. Like how Myers' face has the bullet wound on the cheek and the burned and crispy left side, just like his mask, bringing the man and The Shape closer together.

Good catch
Lonnie hesitating on the porch kinda mirrors back to 1978 when he was dared to go up to the house. Only thing missing was Loomis telling him to get his ass away from there 😂 which got him killed this time.
The whole Hawkins thing with him refusing to let Loomis kill Michael is cool with me because it adds to the good people willing to do bad things theme. He was such a moral character in the retconned flashback scene, and now he’s willing to bend the rules in current time.
Michael cant possibly teleport how would he do that?
HE WAS DOING VERY WELL LAST NIGHT!
He literally teleports in the original when he’s standing in Laurie’s backyard. Why is it such a shocker now?
@@NorthernHandle the dude teleports all the time I don’t get it lol
@@NorthernHandle i dont have a problem with it either. its in line with Carpenters original intent, he's the boogeyman, he's everywhere.

Cookie woman!
🍪🍪
I love how in that scene she says All nighter before saying big woman and Loomis chimes in like he wants to meet a big woman
@AFT Plate Carrier Why, why are you protecting him. Don't you love your step mother, he made you stab her.

Sondra is the caretaker who takes Dana and Aaron to Judith's headstone, we revisit her in Kills with her husband and she gets to see Michael's death. I don't think many realize that's her. She's in all three.
I’m just so happy we are still getting these movies 🥲
Great movie
Yeah rewatching 2018 after Kills really shows how well the movies play together as a whole.
My daughter was laughing her head off at all the kill scenes, my son was cheering Micheal on and I was sitting in the middle going I'm not with them!!! Lol.
Also when you guys started talking about Michael using a smartphone, i was thinking the other day that yall should do A Video of Loomis teaching him how to use a SmartPhone and then take him to but a new Phone.
lmao thats a good idea
Michael has always had a flair for the theatrical. My favorite part was then he dragged the dude out into the kitchen just to turn him into a pin cushion in front of his wife, until he found a knife he liked and just... walked. I noticed the thing with Big and Little John too, and there's NO reason to do that other than to just fuck with people. I think he might be a little unhinged.
he even turned the record player on like "hey come up here and see this!"
I actually think he kept stabbing the old man until he saw the lady take her last breath just to fuck with her even worse
100% Don't know where you are in the stream but we go in deep on that subject!
@@tnmade731 I can see him holding his hands up like in a frame, like, "Perfection!" Maybe that's why he tilts his head lol

Been an honor counting down to this movie with you guys! Loved the spoiler talk and had a blast with the movie! Can’t wait for more content on it!!!!
l
Figured michael went in the back door like when he went in to kill Judith
Holy shit yeah that’s true
I mean that's definitely possible. My only issue is getting up the stairs. Wasn't the front door wide open? Because the stairs are right by the door
Yep!!! That’s exactly what I thought as well
For those interested in the Novelization, the print version doesn’t come out for another week, but for some reason the audiobook version is already out on digital.
(Narrated by Balki from Perfect Strangers which is delightful)
I heard that the actor who played flashback Myers in this was also signed on to play him in Halloween returns before it was cancelled
That's fucking fascinating. Hopefully we can get him on the show.
I believe you mean Doug Tait not Airon. He doubled for JJC in one scene
The director has stated Michael is just human though?
@@austinnickell2561 ..man I don't listen to them. They say 1 thing then pop..it's another. Laurie's speech was to direct.
@@austinnickell2561 in the interview of 2018, John Carpenter states that Michael here is between human and supernatural
Hopefully, it won't just be heavy-handed political commentary with Haddonfield fighting about being pro-mask and anti-mask because they banned all masks after HK. haha
Well said 👏👏👏
The people at the theater probably thought I was a psycho because during the whole flashback with Loomis and Hawkins made me have the biggest shit eating grin
You guys are definitely the highlight for me each and every Halloween!
Welcome back my friend!
I love the Michael Myers vs the mob... When Michael grabs his mask and prepare to kill everyone.. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm actually happy Paul Rudd wasn't able to come back for this movie. I didn't want to see his version of Tommy die.
The mask itself is enough for me to want a whole movie. Redo the thorn trilogy
Did y'all notice the nurse and doctor couple were in 2018. Just for a few seconds during the part Micheal walks around in the continuous shot.
Just lazy writing by these creators
i really want to see you guys interview James jude courtney. id donate to get him on the show

You'd think during the 40 years they would have got therapy. Or moved
All and all

Nice stream guys also the part when big and little John were holding the knifes they were small and big that part was kinda funny
Laurie needs to buy the Myers house and move in it and wait for Michael’s return
lmao that is hilarious I love it
Can't believe you guys missed the scene where Michael jumped on a bike and pedaled fast back to his house
J always has April (assuming it’s still April😂) creeping about in the damn background like the grudge 😂😂
The Halloween 2 footage is just of Annie on the stretcher when Brackett has the sheet pulled down to identify his daughter. It is a scene that definitely still works with Halloween 2 no longer being canon.
Funny enough those coveralls (workrite 9.8) ARE fire resistant
did anyone see michael walk behind J around 58 minutes 10 seconds 😂
Plus Michael knows how to drive and there was a few running vehicles sitting there
When they said maybe he went to high school, all I could think was a montage of Micheal learning how to stab in a classroom to the song Back To School by Richard Wolf & Mark Leonard.
When my script goes into production and get paid, I’m throwing a huge party and inviting Mike and J!
What about the biggest John of them all... Carpenter. Great score

@@DD-eight Unkillable when he jumps out the closet was just perfect
Michael had the best aim with a gun basically in the whole movie and he never even touched one 😭😭
Idk. My issue is that gore and whatever reminds me too much of Jason. The thing that made 1978 made so scary for me was the suspense. It was scary even without being overly gory.
I'll watch Ends, but no of these new movies top 1978 for me.
In this timeline, Michael Myers is basically the creeper from Jeepers creepers. Every X Amount of years he returns 😂
Yes the firefighter scene was freaking AWESOME!!! I was at the edge of my seat smiling 😃.

It's show in the flashback Micheal can walk through the metal fence, like phase through it. Maybe he just walked through the house.
What if they were to bring John (Hartnett) in as a potential product of a one night stand between Laurie and Ben Tramer or Hawkins.

There is no universe where he wasn't specifically stalking her...But then again Kills had that dumb fucking stupid line about the mind of a 6 year old boy in the body of a man
Jay is Hilarious 😂😂😂😂
So during the time jump what is Michael doing? Just chilling at home eating junk food and staying up late?
I cant believe Jay just said the Mickey loves ya from Rocky when talking about Michael being beat up, I swear I left that exact comment on Rudy’s Movie Reviews chat with Cody Leach about Halloween Kills 😂
One of my favorite Kills (pun intended hehe) was Michael kicking the car door to that woman which led to her shooting herself. Shit was hilarious!
Did the firefighters get him out of the basement?? I thought he was trapped until then…. Maybe I misunderstood what was going on.
Laurie realizes what is happening from a distance since she is stalking Corey because he is dating her granddaughter and tries to stop Corey - so it becomes a battle between good and evil- meanwhile the town sees Michael is back and goes after Laurie saying if she dies, Michael will die too- they accidentally kill a few people couple people thinking it’s Laurie - while she is gone into hiding - Corey knows that Laurie knows what he Is doing and goes to find Laurie the same way - while
The town is out and crazy, the same ending happens where she has her encounter with Michael in her house - she realizes she can end this through Corey and when Michael turns on Corey and they begin to kill each other, Laurie does her thing and traps Michael like she did in this Movie.
52 minutes in and i’m crying i’m trying to watch this at work and was choking on my…. food. i can’t work cuz i’m laughing to hard
Nailed it...and go birds
At the end there's a bit of a time jump with the montage. When Karen walks back into the Myers house, Michael is already in the house. Earlier, Karen stabs Michael then walks back/Michael kills everyone>Karen consoles Allyson & paramedics show up/Michael goes home>Karen looks at the window and wonders about young Michael and what goes on in his head like Officer McCabe>Karen goes up to Judiths room and looks out of the window/Michaels already in the house>Kills Karen as cops are showing up on scene> I'm sure Michael will figure a way out
I felt like we shared personal moments with Michael in this movie
Michael looks like if Ben Tramer survived the explosion.
Finally saw HKills and it was the epicness of epic loved every second of it might be my favorite
What if they do a flashback of 2018 in “Ends” with the time jump 4 years, J?
Here’s what I think. In the flashback we see Michael shut down after attacking the cop. Insinuating Michael is going back to a comatose state like when after killing Judith. After recreating the night in Kills after stabbing Karen he goes back to that state. I’m sure they will use the alternative ending as the opening with additional things like how Michael got back in the house and what happens after that.
The other escaped patient running around reminded me of the old man in the beginning of 3doors down's kryptonite.
My only problem is that Lonnie didn't call for backup before going into the house
54:44 was that Michael passing there in the background? 😭
I was hoping Michael was going to steal a fire truck, but nope. He stuck to his teleportation skills to get around town 😂✌️😱🎃🔪👻🤐
