Something I don't understand is Rob Zombie said he wanted to make Michael more realistic and then has him do stuff like rip Judith's tombstone out of the ground, smash through walls and all that even though this Michael is supposed to be a normal human unlike the supernatural being original series Michael was. He survives a gunshot to the head at the end of this but dies from being impaled on farm equipment in H2.
Man you guys did an awesome job on this commentary. Michael looks awesome in Rob Zombies version, the Mask looks very similar to the 78 with some wear on it.
Were you vaping during the recording? Haha superb content as usual. And a very Happy Birthday Jay. You've brought a lot of people a lot of laughs and good times and we all owe you a debt of gratitude that we will probably never be able to repay. Have a great birthday brother.
Underrated movie. Rob Zombie did a Great job and Tyler Mane's Michael Myers was the most realistic one. He was big, scary, intimidating and brute and i love how he still act like a "Normal Human" Example: When he enters in his old house to recover the mask and the kitchen knife he takes a look around the house and for a moment it seems that he has memories (flashbacks) of when he was a kid. Tyler Mane performance as Michael is amazing! After Nick Castle, Tyler Mane is definitely the best Michael Myers (the second best Michael Myers) and i loved the killsl
Xehanort10 This movie is underrated. Halloween 2007 has a lot of cool scenes/shoots.(Mike watching TV with Lindsey is one of the coolest scene in the entire franchise) has a good cast and has the second best Michael Myers.
Xehanort10 Say whatever you want about RZ but he made Michael Myers scary again especially after that joke named Halloween Resurrection. Tyler Mane's Michael Myers was the most realistic one. He was big, scary, intimidating and brute and i love how he still act like a " Normal Human " Example: When he enters in his old house to recover the mask and the kitchen knife he takes a look around the house and for a moment it seems that he has memories (flashbacks) of when he was a kid and i loved that! (After Nick Castle, Tyler Mane is definitely the best Michael Myers) and every time that i watch H2007 again i enjoy watching Michael stalking Laurie and the others, and Tyler's movements were good, even though he was tall, he managed to move really well. And i also liked Malcolm McDowell as Dr. Loomis (But Donald Pleasence still a legend) McDowell did good job and i really liked the fact that he wanted to save Michael,
Zombie's Michael was not scary. A big, crazy guy taking orders from a hallucination of his dead mother is laughable not scary. The Zombie films are just as bad as Resurrection so you acting like his Halloweens are better than Resurrection when they suck just as much. You can't kill original series Michael no matter what you do to him but you can kill Zombie's Michael in any of the ways you can kill a normal person.
Xehanort10 You're being a hypocrite I know your type, you're one of those fucking idiots who hate Tyler Mane's Michael Myers because he was too "Realistic" and "Real" and not a immortal serial killer like in the previous movies. You really are a hypocrite because i never said anything about H2. So the get the fuck over.
I literally I’m watching this and listening this at the same exact time so I mute the movie And listen to u guys while watching the movie so the sound from background lines up to the movie lol 😂
aww...cleaning out my Attic, today i found that bubble T.V. with VCR player now i feel bad throwing it away when Mike is looking for one ha ha. well i actually got mine in a yard sell at a trailer park, there were loads of them :D
Happy Birthday Jayy:) you have such an incredible sense of humor and I love that there's a sensitive side to you (even thoughh you try and hide it ha) which I think makes you even more amazing. I hope you have a great birthdayy
Im almost certain i hear Mike vaping in this commentary lol. Good shit man, for the past 5 years ive worked at a vape shop nice to hear u made the switch! That is ofcourse if im not totally wrong lol
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I like the scenes with Loomis and Michael in the institution. I really like how we get to see how things were between them before Loomis came to see him as a monster. But I agree that I could have gone without the first fifteen to twenty minutes.
love when you guys do Loomis/Pleasance voice.... or he's gonna getcha! cookie woman! He was doing very well last night!..etc... fu**ing hilarious guys! please keep them quotes from other entries coming :-)
Being molested wouldn't make him molest other kids though. He chose to do that. Paedos only say shit like that to justify their actions and try and make people feel sorry for them.
TBH I didn't 'hate' this version. Zombie chose to give Michael a backstory. I was and am still ok with that. Not terribly thrilled with it being so predictable, but whatever... I will say I found the original, inexplicable evil of the original Michael much more disturbing and unnerving, but fine, some people need the explanation all drawn out like a picture for them. In some ways, I think that actually proves my original point; the unexplained evil is too disturbing for some to grasp. What I also liked so much better about the original Halloween was the setting and the fact that most of the characters were likable; I couldn't help but feel like almost everyone in the Zombie version was kind of an asshole - this is especially true in 2. In the original I was hoping for people to escape somehow; Zombie version I was just waiting for everyone to die.
Paul Leon The first 30 minutes of Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 is amazing! But unfortunately after that the movie goes downhill... But at least we still have Mane's awesome performance as Michael (Tyler Mane performance as Michael saved the movie from a total disaster) and at the end of the movie, he have one the saddest cene in the entire franchise. Is when Chucky see his daughter dead in the bathroom (R.I.P Jamie). That scene was very sad, and it was an excellent performance by Chucky.
I'm having a great time just listening to this. Its better than the movie. I do remember the rectangle pizza. I went to grade school in late 70s thru the 80s and the rectangle pizza was good. But sometimes the pizza would be sitting too long and the cheese would dry up and then your fucked. My favorite was the mashed potatoes and meat gravy. Then the Ham and cheese zombies. One of these days ill have to go have lunch with my daughter. She is in 4th grade i hear the school lunches are pretty horrible now. She takes her own to school. But ill like to try it out to see.
111highgh no not really they just don’t like the trailer trash nor do they want a full blown back story for Myers . And frankly neither do I they have said this was a pretty good movie they just don’t prefer it .
WeWatchedAMovie did guys hear that Scout Taylor Compton may reprise her young Laurie Strode character from halloween remake by rob zombie in the Halloween 2018 movie
I've heard you guys claim that Rob Zombie is a good cinematographer multiple times now. Phil Pharmet did the cinematography on this film. As far as I know Rob has never done the cinematography on any film.

I am a die hard Halloween fan and I enjoy this. Half of it is Rob Zombies bullshit , way over the top crap. But then Scout Taylor Compton’s performance as Laurie saved it for me. She was the best part of this movie for me. Some scenes looked amazing and were awesome but a lot of it is just bad , all because of Rob Zombie. Either way I like it , but it could’ve been a lot better for a remake. Now excuse me while I go watch John Carpenters Halloween so I can wash off the nastiness that is this film lol
haha Erica the 3 times i have watched the remake i also had to watch the original immediately after. it must be some sort of cleansing act like you say!
HA. I would LOVE FOR YOU GUYS TO REVIEW. OR DO COMMENTARY FOR COOL RUNNINGS! :D its a guilty pleasure i just have them much fun watching that film i love it.
This film isn’t as atrocious as I remember but there is still many things I despise about this film. I get it’s Rob Zombies Vision and he tried too reinvent the mythology of Michael Myers but the moment you humanized made everything else problematic in the plot. I’ve said it so many times in many conversations or debates on this film the moment you humanize him it actually makes more unrealistic than realistic. You turned him into a psychopath which in turn gave him motive because he was a product of his environment which for me makes him very predictable immediately. He is know longer “The Shape” he is a man which makes him more vulnerable although he gets shot in the shoulder with a 9mm barrette then shakes it off which contradicts the whole human element because a man wouldn’t just shake it off unless the fuckin guy smoked angel dust on his way to Haddonfield? The damage doesn’t stop there he gets stabbed in the shoulder with a big butcher knife so now he has too open wounds so that’s massive blood loss! Then when Loomis shows up he shoots him three times with 357 magnum in the back which leaves a massive exit wound but still has enough energy too crush Loomis’s skull and tackle Laurie off a two story house? Whether people liked or dislike the super natural element in the original franchise at least it justifies all the damage he’s taken which in turn makes it more believable vs him being human. I understand suspension of disbelief but come the fuck on! If zombie would have said heightened reality I would have been like ok but in every interview or promo he kept saying “This is more real.” It’s really not it just enforced why the original is better than the remake and the sequel that followed. The original told a more cohesive story without trying to over complicating by adding bad plot devices such as an Origin story and just barely having any redeemable characters which is something RZ has always struggled with from the beginning. In The Devils Rejects at least you can get behind the Sheriff Wydell character vs this film you just about hate everyone with the exception of Danny Trejo and Brad Douriff.
I liked this Halloween the soundtrack was awesome but a lot of Rob Z Nasty is well too much you guys LOL all over it. But we can't have the PG-13 Halloween like the 79 version is now if that version came out now it would be PG-13 right? In the 2000 we need a hardcore Halloween movie and this is what we got.
Another awesome commentary guys. I'm looking forward to the Scream movie after the butthole of darkness. Also, Kane Hodder actually did play Michael Myers before in a parody. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/-c8jJRekwbA/v-deo.html
The only people that are worth anything in this shit test is the Sherriff Leigh Brackett and Annie. And the Strodes her parents. Other than that I won't bring myself to take it out of the box set. No fuckin way
Keep Michael's backstory a mystery! The movie isn't bad its decent. Happy fuckin birthday Jay. I love you!!! I wanna meet you guys and talk movies!! My present for Jay are goggles that I made so you're able to read jk, Love you guys!!
One of the big reasons that this was a BAD MOVIE is that they turned the best character of the original, into a joke in this movie. Dr. Loomis character was a joke in this movie. That ruined this movie. This movie had other issues too. But that was the big one. Thank god they took Halloween out of Rob Zombie's hand...
It would of been better if Michael left Danny Trejo alive to show some humanity and not some mindless killer. Even weaken Trejo character so he couldn’t stop Michael from leaving.
Unforgivablx Rob Zombie wanted to make his own movie I mean he put 15 million dollars into it he wanted to get a inside look of how Michael Myers was raised and if you actually watch the movie I would go crazy too if I was living with a family like that I understand wanting to keep Michael Myers mysterious but it just makes more sense to have a background story with him
I'm a metal fan and Zombie's Halloween films suck. It's creepier in the original series when Michael grew up in a good, nice kind family and still turned out evil because that has happened in real life. Some serial killers have had the best upbringings possible and still become evil scumbags. Michael's evil because he was born that way and chooses to be that way not because he had a trailer trash family like in Zombie's films.
Hey well happy birthday or belated birthday to you jay! Mine is in a week and a half I’ll be 21 as well! Haha Honestly I love this next to the original unlike most if this had no backstory and with the same pissed off oversized Michael with the same look I think it would’ve been Great as fuck! And H2 had lots of potential if they really started with the hospital and it wasn’t a dream sequence and Michael didn’t talk or show his face and take out Sherri moon and the unicorn and just think it could’ve been a big difference honestly hobo Myers was great to add but other then that that mask should’ve stayed on.
I hate how people hate on Rob Zombie he's the one that made Michael Myers scary the guy that played Michael Myers was 6 foot 8 like damn that's a lot more scarier than the guy that's 5 foot 10 that played in the original film
Dan S so you're trying to tell me that the original film is more scarier than Rob Zombie's😂 this remake came out in 2007 the original film came out in 1978 the newer one is better because it's more graphic than the older one so yes it's 20 times more scarier
Dan which one's more scare a guy chasing after you that's 5 foot 10 are 6 foot 8 I'm pretty sure the taller guys more scarier and intimidating that's how Michael Myers should be
Dan S I didn't like the end of Halloween 2 remake either so we have something in common but Rob Zombie did a pre badass job when it came to a blood and gore because that's how Halloween movie should be in 2018 because that's more terrifying actually seen a knife go through someone are getting a head cut off by a kitchen knife that's badass
The weird thing is Micheal is actually scarier having a background story, John Carpenters version was lame compared to Rob Zombies phenomenal version that’s gritty & better morbidity.
Deadly Gamer Exactly thank you I still really enjoyed the original but I love the psychology behind Micheal Myers becoming crazy from his family, his principal, school bullies, and killing animals.
What exactly makes it more scary for a villain to have a background? Nothing. Jason has a background to make you sympathize, Leatherface has a background, and basically every other slasher does. Michael stood out amongst the others simply because he had no reason to kill. He had a thirst for killing as a child and it only continued, for no reason at all. How is giving him a story about coming from an abusive household (like a million other stories. and also forcing you to hold some sympathy for him) than downright knowing he had a decent life yet still wanted to kill people?...
OceanMetTheSky Yeah well it’s scarier cause it makes a lot more sense to have more to than just oh I wanna kill someone randomly I lose all respect for people that think that’s cool, the best movies have interesting reasons behind why it’s happening like Identity, The Strangers, American Psycho, or Green Room.
Movie was a piece of shit, were gonna get a real Halloween movie almost close to the original come October, Michael collapses after getting up and staggering and falling to the ground and spends the next 40 years in Smith's Grove until another break out
Dan S no but that's most likely where they are heading with it, the other option is after he was shot six times and fell off the house balcony, he got up and disappeared for 40 years then returns, my guess is they will go with locked up then escape for the final time.
Your commentaries give me life!! Thank you guys! 🎃👻🙌🏼❤️😎
Thank you bro!
Funny the guy who voices Chucky plays the cop in this one .
william mason Jay: Hey Andy? Do you want play hide the soul? :P
Fun fact: During Michael's unmasked scene in the basement. Scout Taylor Compton actually stabbed Tyler Mane in the shoulder with a real kitchen knife.
Interesting fact where did u find that out

It's a really fun time listening to commentaries over horror movies. Thanks for the video!
Just rewatched this the other day. I totally agree. Keep Michael's backstory a mystery!
gottabezac c That is what mad Halloween so good a unknown horror. He the shape human or super natural.
gottabezac c Does not matter. Tyler Mane's Michael Myers still scary and intimidating.
Original series Michael I'd be scared of. Zombie's Michael I'd laugh at.
Or if they were going to give him one do something better than "abusive childhood in broken home."
Xehanort10 Nope, You're just a stupid fucking hater who hates Tyler Mane for no reason.

I'm watching it rn and listening to you guys 😂😂😂 it's so good 👍♡

I fucking love your commentary’s I listen to them while I’m at work and time goes by so fast.
My butt is so ready for this. I actually do like this one, specially when Michael bumrushes the dude having a cigarette on the front porch.
Michael likes to skip the spooning and go straight to forking

The original told a more cohesive story without trying to over complicating by adding bad plot devices such as an Origin story and just barely having any redeemable characters which is something RZ has always struggled with from the beginning. In The Devils Rejects at least you can get behind the Sheriff Wydell character vs this film you just about hate everyone with the exception of Danny Trejo and Brad Douriff.
Tbh, never cared for this movie. At all. But it's fun listening to you guys talk over it.
The fact that the "origin" of Michael's mask in Zombie's series is that it was a mask Judith's boyfriend wore when she and he had sex once is shit.
Yeah and that dude had serious scabies.
I'm convinced that the reason every man in Zombie's films is long haired and bearded like him is because he's trying to create his own clone army.
How the f do you not know RONNIE JAMES DIO.. DON'T YOU EVER CLAIM TO BE A BLACK SABBATH FAN.. DIO IS GOD. sunset superman
will you dare to watch rob zombie Halloween 2 lol
Andy Sim Well, i watched and is better than Halloween Resurrection....
Michelle my bell lol
I liked this Halloween the soundtrack was awesome but a lot of Rob Z Nasty is well too much you guys LOL all over it. But we can't have the PG-13 Halloween like the 79 version is now
if that version came out now it would be PG-13 right? In the 2000 we need a hardcore Halloween movie and this is what we got.
no its still R because of nudity blood and atmosphere and language
Just because something is "TAME" doesnt make it lower in rating!
Another awesome commentary guys. I'm looking forward to the Scream movie after the butthole of darkness.
Also, Kane Hodder actually did play Michael Myers before in a parody.

Yess
The only people that are worth anything in this shit test is the Sherriff Leigh Brackett and Annie. And the Strodes her parents. Other than that I won't bring myself to take it out of the box set. No fuckin way
I'm all broken up here, bitch.
I can't work.
Frank S and don't forget that Rob zombie said the 70s one is crap and his was better
Wow, I didn't realize the degree of an idiot Rob Zombie is!
Frank S he said there are to many plot holes 😒
Wow, all I can say is wow. I say it again, I'm just glad they took Halloween back from Rob Zombie.
Frank S yeah I'm glad John carp talked shit back to him lol and you can tell he really did not want done remade they way he kept talking about it
It would of been better if Michael left Danny Trejo alive to show some humanity and not some mindless killer. Even weaken Trejo character so he couldn’t stop Michael from leaving.
Alright with the cringe jokes 👌
I like how they gave Michael Myers backstory goes to show how crazy he is and badass
Zombie's Myers isn't badass. Just ass.
Good movie lolol
I hate how people hate on Rob Zombie he's the one that made Michael Myers scary the guy that played Michael Myers was 6 foot 8 like damn that's a lot more scarier than the guy that's 5 foot 10 that played in the original film
Dan S ?
Anthony Green Exactly I feel the same way
The weird thing is Micheal is actually scarier having a background story, John Carpenters version was lame compared to Rob Zombies phenomenal version that’s gritty & better morbidity.
ConspiracyGuy Right, I like John Carpenters version too... But idk why people hate Rob zombies version when I love it as well.
ConspiracyGuy haha good one. But you posted that too early it's not April 1st. And you have no idea what door you have just opened.
Movie was a piece of shit, were gonna get a real Halloween movie almost close to the original come October, Michael collapses after getting up and staggering and falling to the ground and spends the next 40 years in Smith's Grove until another break out
I too am hyped for this.
Dan S no but that's most likely where they are heading with it, the other option is after he was shot six times and fell off the house balcony, he got up and disappeared for 40 years then returns, my guess is they will go with locked up then escape for the final time.
