Watching it off Peacock lol 😂 great line Nick. *I still haven't watched this film yet* I'm tempted to rent it before listening to your Commentary but need to look into this as I'm UK based so not sure regarding the films availability right now.
It's available for rental for like £5 on Amazon Prime. I'm recording a blind first time watching commentary tomorrow before syncing up with you guys for a second viewing. I already know that I'm going to hate the film so I'll look to entertain myself during the commentary lol
This movie was a combination of Halloween 4 Halloween 5 and Friday the 13th 5 Michael living in a sewer for number of year's Michael touches Corey hand passing the evil on to him and we get a copy cat killer like Friday 5
Also you we're right Corey can't be the boogie man of a town when it clearly was an accident like Stephen Kings thinner when Billy accidentally killed the old women with his car the whole town didn't treat him terribly
They really needed to have Corey's storyline intertwine with Michael's thematically. Again, it's far easier to divorce Corey into his own film not connected at all to Halloween. It could've been a fine, moody psychological thriller / character study. It would've been better without needing to rope Michael Myers into it all. I don't know what you do with Michael & Laurie after Kills for 90+ minutes. They have no story here to begin with, and with Laurie miraculously no longer being traumatized, they evaporated anything remotely substantive for anyone to grapple with now. It's definitely one of the messiest trilogies ever, maybe rivaling the recent Star Wars sequel trilogy. They've divisive, in the least.
@@ravensfilm Your right Nick just like you said with Jason goes to hell and Freddy's Revenge both should have been it's own movie and not have Freddy or Jason in it
@@ravensfilm now if they introduced Corey in the first two movie's I can understand but they didn't they been setting up Michael vs Laurie in the 1st two movie's and 90 percent of it was Corey story
lol. You guys are some of the very few critics that don’t like these films, starting with 2018. I’m in your camp. I never thought 2018 was that great of a film. It sort of got worse from there. I’ve seen them all but from Redbox $1.50 rentals. There’s very little tension in these films, the idea has been beaten to death. H1, H2, H3 and zombie 1 are all I’d want to watch. The worst thing is this new trilogy thinks it’s smarter and better than it actually is. If people paid top dollar at the theater to see this stuff they were suckers.
This is the best commentary for this post film that I could ask for. It's spot on
Thank you!
We really appreciate this! Hope you check out some of the other offerings on the channel. And tell a friend!
Oh very cool, looking forward to watching this with you guys 🍿
Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

They'll end up bringing back Mike.... I'm calling it - say within the next 5 years. *A lick of paint and a stitch job and he'll be right as rain*
They will milk him dry somehow. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did another remake or something akin to it. Maybe Halloween: The Animated Series? LOL!

What do you think of Trilogy over all is it the worse?
We discussed that at the end of the commentary.
Rankings in order 1/2018 2/Ends 3/Kills.
What happened to Steve's voice? is he ok?
Paralyzed vocal chord. Been a problem for just over two years now.
Why didn't they film it in South Pasadena like the original?
They probably got a tax break filming it in North Carolina.
@ravensfilm no need to travel Pasadena is in Hollywoods back yard.

@@ravensfilm and your right Trilogy doesn't connect like the 1st four Friday the 13th or Evil Dead or Nightmare on elm Street 1,3, and 4
@@ravensfilm Halloween 4 did a better job setting up jamie as the killer she touches Michael he passes the evil to her to bad Halloween 5 messed it up
RZ's Halloween 2 humanized Michael way too much IMO
Shit movie. Great commentary. I wouldn't pay for the disc either.

Excellent commentary gentlemen, shame about the movie
