A lot of food thats considered luxurious was taken from native cultures that thought of it as the scraps from the animal. Those were all considered poor people food until the privileged took that.

@@calvinzhobbes1977 It is a Cutco, it's a very good brand.
They are insured for Life, and tend not to break or dull often because of this, they are also expensive.
He uses another Cutco knife for his hand carved cubes I believe.
As far as sharpening concerns; I'm more worried about overhoning as a sharpener myself; people tend to make their blades into microfine saw blades by using a honing rod too much, or at too steep of angles.
That tends to dull a knife much faster than scraping against a cutting board; for the most part when cutting through hard vegetables your knife is going to strike the cutting board blade face directly into the edge which would cause any existing burrs to exaggerate.
As always, PROPER maintenance matters more than these particular issues, no one really cares if you use the blade or the spine: as far as safety is concerned, using the blade to move things is safer, having a knife blade facing anywhere upward is a bad idea.
If you cannot hone, they do make systems for people who need a more guided approach. Even for hones and strops; and even at low price points.
Nowadays any amount of proper maintenance is better then none, but I'd discourage random people from trying to hand sharpen any knife they care about; they'll screw it up.

You absolutely abused that cheese, please for the love of all that is good and Holy just look up how to make mozzarella from scratch is a delicate process and your water shouldnt go yellow it should be white. It's yellow cause you bashed the cheese losing all the fat and less water higher temperature, also too much salt, salt on the curd was a mistake, but tbh your first mistake is you cut the curd, it literally breaks across its natural lines between Ur fingers keeping that juicy fat milk in making such a spectacular mozzarella.

Milk! The curds are the solids when milk separates and the whey is the clear yellowish liquid.

    • @-_Vegeta_-
      @-_Vegeta_- 3 роки тому +10

Its not that easy. You're gonna mess up the first few batches . It's a pain in the ass until you get the technique down. If the water is to hot , not hot enough, kneaded to much, not kneaded enough, to much salt, not enough salt, and so on and so on. But there's a bright side. It's fun to do and once you get down it'll be worth the effort.
