In March 2019, I found very cheap ticket for Miami, so I took a plane from Italy and I flew straight to Ft. Lauderdale just to see him live in concert. I was in front row(4 hours outside, but definitely worth)During the toys moment, when he was very close to me, I handed him a paper saying " I'm here from Italy just for you Big B". Few moments later he came to me, he shook my hand and let me playing his killerswitch for first! What an incredible experience, best concert ever and best emotions you can have for a long while! And Natter is right, if you dont behave as an idiot, Buckethead is the nicest guy ever! And He will always give moments to his fans!!! A big hug to all Buckethead fans around the world from Italy! When I was young I saw a video of a fan jumping on stage at a Rolling Stones concert. Instead of a handshake, Keith Richards takes his guitar off and smacks the guy in the head with it. At the time, I thought that was an overreaction by Keith. After the Dimebag incident, I now completely understand why you don't take chances with unknown people coming at you from nowhere.
Buckethead came to ABQ twice, as far as I know. I've seen him both times. I was only about 10ft away from him right next to the stage. He looked right at me numerous times, I got to push the killswitch, and he almost got a toy to me during the toy time segment, but asshats kept grabbing them. Anyway, just being near the guy and seeing him live was enough. I never felt compelled to get on his stage and bother him. He's a gentle soul that deserves respect. Alcohol clearly is too much for some people.
I hope to one day be able to hand Buckethead a letter about how much me means to me and how much he's done for me if i ever see him live. as an introvert and someone who understands how sensitive Buckethead is, I don't want to make him uncomfortable in any way. I'd just love to tell him how important he is. One of the most sensitive and caring people ever.
Oh man, I saw Buckethead and That1Guy at the Trocadero in Philly years ago when it was still around. Before the opening act (some guy doing surprisingly cool electronic tuba music) had even finished, some goon who looked like my 10th grade history teacher was LOADED, calling out “WhERe’S BucKEt?!?!” over every tune, and falling into people (mostly my friends and I who were around 15-16 at the time). Before my dad (who took us all there) could step in, this dude with super long hair, an 80s-thrash metal denim jacket, and super thick combat boots came over and shoved the guy away and got up in his face about his antics which prompted security to take notice and usher the drunkard out. It was cool bc we got to see all of Bucket’s set uninterrupted, but I do feel bad that the tuba guy didn’t get the same respect. Also, big props to thrash metal guy! You fuckin’ rule And just a funny aside, this was around the time that Buckethead started releasing his Pikes. My buddy, having heard the first three already, picked up Underground Chamber after the show. We must have listened to that disc loop for an hour and 40 minutes before we realized that a certain section with ducks honking kept cropping back up. First intro to the noise pikes 🤘

I saw that same tour. I want to say it was 2012 and the project was "The Frankenstein Brothers"? Killer show and tour. I think that was my first pike experience as well, purchasing number 3. Simple times. Wish we could go back.

@@NatterNet nope it's not a motel, it's a bar and grill place that just so happens to have a damn pool. I'm not sure what they were smoking when the architect walked into work that day and showed them the plans. I was in an odd spot because I was right near the stage but the pool is literally right behind me so one misstep and I'm going home wet. It was an odd venue.

Deadly serious. Nobody is there to watch an audience member ruin a show and ruin the night for the performer, whether its a musician, comedian, sports person, whatever. And then theres things like Dimebags murder, the tennis player who was stabbed, numerous comedians who have been attacked. So yes, they deserve to have their kneecaps ruined. I was lucky enough to to receive a toy from bucket head. I was pretty drunk and ripped a toy out his hand, he glared at me and gave it to who it was intended. He than shook my hand, and and gently placed a gundam action figure in my other hand. I still have it, but nobody believes the story.
The day I heard him play binge and grab I was forever changed. I didn't understand the lyrics yet I sure understood what he was playing. Before he came along, I didn't know any of that was allowed. I've dropped everything else to become his musical experiment.
I was at a concert in Cleveland in 2019 and someone threw their prosthetic leg on the stage. I bet it definitely shook him up. The thrower ended up getting their leg back somehow. Definitely a wild crowd that night.
2009 at the Vic Theatre in Chicago some idiot threw a beer at Buckethead and it hit him on his right hand while he was playing. Big B kept playing like it was no big deal, however he did not do an encore that night. That changed the vibe of the show, sad really.

P-Sticks was "quick on the draw" that night as well, but very respectful though. He seems like a very cool guy that really looks out for Bucket. That's the impression I got anyways.

I hope so, having recently discovered him (🤦♂️), missing years of his music, my son an I are trying to soak up and listen to as many pikes as we can! It's bad enough when any act or artist is interrupted, but there is a special place in hell for people who do it to artists like this. A lot of acts with excited fans have multiple rows of barricades and security between them and the audience, but this guy plays smaller venues and let's people within touching distance (literally, letting people touch his actual guitar and shaking some hands). Trying to jump on stage with some major arena act is bad, don't do that either, but too many people making things rough on artists with more, for lack of better word, intimate show environments can legit impact whether we keep getting shows like that in the future.

When I was young I saw a video of a fan jumping on stage at a Rolling Stones concert. Instead of a handshake, Keith Richards takes his guitar off and smacks the guy in the head with it. At the time, I thought that was an overreaction by Keith.
After the Dimebag incident, I now completely understand why you don't take chances with unknown people coming at you from nowhere.
Buckethead came to ABQ twice, as far as I know. I've seen him both times. I was only about 10ft away from him right next to the stage. He looked right at me numerous times, I got to push the killswitch, and he almost got a toy to me during the toy time segment, but asshats kept grabbing them.
Anyway, just being near the guy and seeing him live was enough. I never felt compelled to get on his stage and bother him. He's a gentle soul that deserves respect. Alcohol clearly is too much for some people.
I hope to one day be able to hand Buckethead a letter about how much me means to me and how much he's done for me if i ever see him live. as an introvert and someone who understands how sensitive Buckethead is, I don't want to make him uncomfortable in any way. I'd just love to tell him how important he is. One of the most sensitive and caring people ever.
Oh man, I saw Buckethead and That1Guy at the Trocadero in Philly years ago when it was still around. Before the opening act (some guy doing surprisingly cool electronic tuba music) had even finished, some goon who looked like my 10th grade history teacher was LOADED, calling out “WhERe’S BucKEt?!?!” over every tune, and falling into people (mostly my friends and I who were around 15-16 at the time).
Before my dad (who took us all there) could step in, this dude with super long hair, an 80s-thrash metal denim jacket, and super thick combat boots came over and shoved the guy away and got up in his face about his antics which prompted security to take notice and usher the drunkard out.
It was cool bc we got to see all of Bucket’s set uninterrupted, but I do feel bad that the tuba guy didn’t get the same respect.
Also, big props to thrash metal guy! You fuckin’ rule
And just a funny aside, this was around the time that Buckethead started releasing his Pikes. My buddy, having heard the first three already, picked up Underground Chamber after the show. We must have listened to that disc loop for an hour and 40 minutes before we realized that a certain section with ducks honking kept cropping back up. First intro to the noise pikes 🤘

I saw that same tour. I want to say it was 2012 and the project was "The Frankenstein Brothers"? Killer show and tour. I think that was my first pike experience as well, purchasing number 3. Simple times. Wish we could go back.

@@NatterNet nope it's not a motel, it's a bar and grill place that just so happens to have a damn pool. I'm not sure what they were smoking when the architect walked into work that day and showed them the plans. I was in an odd spot because I was right near the stage but the pool is literally right behind me so one misstep and I'm going home wet. It was an odd venue.
Jeez that is strange! And I totally hear you on that stepping back and going into the pool thing, I saw a pic from the show and that was my only thought, one step back and someones getting soaked.
@@NatterNet we went to the place a few days before the show to get tickets and we saw the pool and stage setup, we thought they would've closed up the pool with some kind of tarp or something but nope it was wide open.

I was at a concert in Cleveland in 2019 and someone threw their prosthetic leg on the stage. I bet it definitely shook him up. The thrower ended up getting their leg back somehow. Definitely a wild crowd that night.
2009 at the Vic Theatre in Chicago some idiot threw a beer at Buckethead and it hit him on his right hand while he was playing. Big B kept playing like it was no big deal, however he did not do an encore that night. That changed the vibe of the show, sad really.

It's bad enough when any act or artist is interrupted, but there is a special place in hell for people who do it to artists like this. A lot of acts with excited fans have multiple rows of barricades and security between them and the audience, but this guy plays smaller venues and let's people within touching distance (literally, letting people touch his actual guitar and shaking some hands). Trying to jump on stage with some major arena act is bad, don't do that either, but too many people making things rough on artists with more, for lack of better word, intimate show environments can legit impact whether we keep getting shows like that in the future.

I traveled from PA to Oregon for 2 shows. The first show I got so drunk outside I lost my ticket in my back pocket and the venue wouldn't sell me another cuz I was wasted. The WiFi Cafe I believe it was. Seen BH 14 Times. Not that time haha
