Hey! I had the amazing privilege to work on Champions of Order (specifically the Fyreslayers/Grimwrath Berzerker, Daughters of Khaine/Shadowstalker, and the Goals), and I'm really happy you dig it. It was a lot of fun researching the factions while I was writing up the various subfactions, and I totally watched a lot of your videos during that time as a means of getting some inspiration.
I'm pretty much a perma-GM (And running my first Soulbound game tomorrow!) but the most interesting Archetype to me as a player in CoO is the Vanari Warrior. Access to both decent fighting and Light Spellcasting lets you make a cool supportive mage/fighter and serve as the glue that holds the party together.

This supplement is absolutely amazing, my one criticism is that they didn't add a single Archetype for the Free People even though they set up a Runesmith perfectly. But I've decided that I'll just make a bunch of Archetypes that I think should be added.
Yeah, that was definitely my biggest disappointment too, particularly since you’d think that the Cities of Sigmar range has so many potential hero archetypes for three races.
@@ChristopherMountenay Yeah, I have like 11 from Cities of Sigmar alone.
Shoot I'd love to see an ironweld archetype. Just a cool human or duardin sniper whose constantly tinkering with their gun to improve it and make it cooler and more deadly!

@@adambielen8996 Both good shouts. The game definitely needs a few more humans. Maybe a Freeguild of some rank or other, Captain or something like that, not a General, and definitely a Witch Hunter. It's crying out for a Witch Hunter.
It's really hard to say what out of this book I'm most excited for. The subfaction mechanic is awesome in how it summarizes the expectations of the faction for the player to either embrace or rebel against. The new endeavors absolutely rule and give a lot of narrative fluff to that aspect of the game. New spells are always two thumbs up, and the miracles listed really help close a gap between priest and mage. Overall, amazing book and some of the best expansion work I've seen in a single supplement
Yes doug, any help with goals is welcome. One idea i had with my party was letting them have 2 or 3 short goals running at the same time, that way if one is a little awkward to do their progression isn't bottlenecked and it gives me more scope to fit things in organically rather than derailing the campaign to fit a personal goal
Looking forward to seeing how they fit a spite-revenant into a binding considering their ’disposition’ toward non-Sylvaneth.
This has been a great boon for my Anvils of Heldenhammer player, but at the same time it was a bit of a bitter pill my player who had to make his own archetype in order to play a Seraphon Skink priest. I love the new tools and the depth I can use in my story, it is just weird that basically every faction of order is now playable but one, and the expansion for order doesn't include them. Great book, would like more.
I think they are expecting to put out a Seraphon pdf in the future, but that's it. I totally agree with you, they should be supporting them. It's probably down to the Seraphon worshiping the Old Ones but that's not a great reason, the KO don't worship any gods
we will be getting the seraphon eventually. we are also getting a book so you can play as the order of death and the order of destruction
@@biofoot7874 Yeah, they announced a Seraphon supplement on their website recently. "Stars and Scales: A PDF supplement exploring the mysterious Seraphon! Includes background information on the Seraphon, new creatures, and six one-page adventures featuring the Seraphon."
@@GecktronLP It does not technically say that an archetype is included in the PDF, so if you want to see Seraphon, make sure you let them know and that your opinion is heard.
I can only agree. Im very happy with this supplement! I think the different subfactions are also a really nice addition and help with giving a character a certain theme, a hook for character development.
Also, I really like the new Lumineth, so their inclusion is also a big plus for me.
Hey Doug, great job as always! I can’t wait for you SoulBound Lumineth content, I love their lore but have been struggling to get an in-depth view into them, all their background so far has been very grandiose, I want the small world view. Would love to see you maybe stream a SoulBound one-shot or something in the future, that’d be cool. Thanks again for all the content, really motivates me to paint!
I grabbed the book as soon as I could and loved it. It was great to find a bit more lore about the Fyreslayers lodges but I was a bit disappointed that Hallowheart (my fav city) was missing from the city descriptions.
I'm really excited for variations that give us death, destruction and chaos characters soon!
Hey Dug :-) that’s awesome. I didn’t even realise they were going to expand out into the other grand alliances! That really gives players the opportunity to run into other soulbindings of different grand alliances which I think will be really cool for narrative play
Do you know where this announcement was put up, what the books are called and when they are going to come out?
It’s on the Cubicle 7 website. The book for Death is gonna come out around Q3 whereas the one for Destruction is Q4.
You might check the news tab on cubicle7games . com. Every month they have a grand round up of all their projects, the February one must recently, and March is due soon

Overall a really good book, the new endeavours bring some interesting new options to the game and the examples for goals are really helpful.
One thing you got wrong though, only Death and Destruction will get a Champions of X book, nothing planned for Chaos.
Hey boss man. Legit question...Fjul from shadespire is a runefather...is it possible to make a runefather in Soulbound?? How would you do it? Lol
There is a custom Archetype maker in the beginning of the Core book. So just follow those rules as best you can. Then you have to come up with a really good reason as to why your Runefather is abandoning his Magmahold and Lodge.
As someone with 30 years of tabletop RPGs, I find myself looking for a Monster manual or Tome of Foes. I also want a Magic items tomes, or DMG type book. I like the core book but the with the myriad of potential foes a Binding could face, having the scant few in the core book leaves few options.
A Bestiary is in the works with over 150 new creatures!

What about the seraphon? did the lizardmen get anything?
This is making me simultaneously pretty excited and sad. It all sounds neat, and sound like cool additions to the games that I’ve seen. However I’ve banned myself from playing until they add a saurus or skink class. I check back every month or so to see...the long wait continues.
