First of all, thank you for sharing all your experiences with us! And for offering us ‘amateur climbers’ the opportunity to follow a well-structured training plan. Without thinking... ;-) (after all, drawing up a plan and adhering to it, revising it and developing it is a lot of work...) In the video, you explain ‘periodisation and progressive overload’. Is this type of training also included in your programmes?
Hii, yess all the programs are organised over a 4 week cycle with a switch in the number of sets every week and of course with a de-load week! And all the programs are structured over 4, 8 or 12 weeks!
After watching the video I kinda feel like I don't hit plateau because I train fucking randomly lmao. I sometimes go a week without climbing, going out drinking and smoking weed then go back to climbing 3x a week + 1 bodyweight training day and just improve a whole lot. I've been lead climbing for a year now and reaching close to 7a while never doing anything particular to train and having the worst lifestyle possible. My friends are pretty much all plateauing in 6b/6b+ rn with much greater efforts than me and idk if I'm somewhat gifted or if they are just trying too hard in the wrong way lol
That’s a good point! I’ve definitely learned a lot from coaches and other climbers, but I’ve also spent tons of time figuring things out on my own through trial and error. Climbing is super personal, and I think it’s a mix-you’ll always pick up things from others, but a lot of it comes from experimenting and finding what works for you. I love sharing that combination of what I’ve been taught and what I’ve discovered myself! :))
As pro climber and legendary climbing coach Dave MaCleod points out, the biggest challenge nowadays for the self-coached climber (regular folks like you and me) is figuring out which advice to take and what to ignore. All the training information you need is already out there, but it takes the guidance of someone with lots of experience (like Sofya) to guide you through the maze of information available. That's the real value of an app like this.

I will watch this when I need it. I''m 3 months in. My muscles grow when I just watch dumbells
I like how the program payments are like $134.40 $57.60 Instead of just rounding off. That extra 40 cents means something.
looool yeah the algorithm just calculated the % off the monthly price and didn't end up changing ahaha 😅
such a great video, thank you!
Thanks! This is very useful for my training

I appreciate the tips, definitely will check the app up🙃 Although isn't it like selling what the coach has taught you?🤔

@@sofya_yokoyama thanks for sharing (:
🗽 Sofya you sound very strange in German (German Audiotrack was activated). 😣
hmm weird, don't know why it has that... but you should be able to change the audiotrack back to english!
Sometimes UA-cam starts giving me Chinese subtitles for no reason (I live in the USA and speak English only). Lol.😂
