Nice. I like the mini bar light location. Now you have to make some fender liners to help with all the mug getting into the engine bay from the wheel wells. Keep the snow and mud off of the frame rail ends and stuff.
Didnt know you was into suzuki's, we had several over the years. They're a blast to drive on and off road and a very capable little buggy. Now we have a Honda Cr-v, it's been my little side project lately. Good job on the bumper it looks awesome
Thanks for checking out my new video! I try my best to not waste much when I can, this project I learned a lot and feel more confident in future bumper projects. I definitely will post more videos about my sidekick, it’s going to be a fun little series, hopefully I will have a few off road videos up this spring too. Take care 👍
That thing has pretty good articulation! I love the gussets that tied the winch plate to the cross member to the lower cross member. That sucker isn't going anywhere! Fun build.
Nice bumper, looks good on your sidekick. Had one in the family awhile back, very dependable vehicles and fun to drive. Looks good with the off road tires.
Wow Mike, you just keep getting better and never fail to show something new. The only problem I have is it makes me feel like a klutz. Love the plasma table.
Awesome bumper Mike. I have an 08 Suzuki Grand Vitara in Colorado. I put a small lift on it, larger tires, built a custom roof rack, skid plate and put a rooftop tent on it. Runs great and very capable off road. I love my little Zuk.
I have had great success with the harbor freight 5000 Lb. badlands winch. I've had mine about three years and pulled many logs with it, even a whole 60 Ft. or so tree which was close to if not more than it's supposed full pulling strength. I would say this winch can pull more than 5000 Lb. if the battery being used is fully charged. I've used this winch a lot for logging. After three years of use mine works as good as the day I bought it. Your bumper looks great. Best wishes with your winch. I am learning much from your site.

Here’s a thought for a new project. Build a powder coating oven and spray area. With all the metal fabrication you do, powder coating would be a great finish
The Suzuki’s are built a bit in the light side but they are really capable little machines 👍 I has a hard top Samurai about 4 years ago but ended up selling it. Thanks for checking out my new video Tim 🙂

Awesome video - Love those old Suzukis. I had a 86 Samurai for years - I so regret selling that thing! Your video made me start looking for another one, maybe a sidekick. Keep the great videos coming, I have turned a lot of friends onto your channel!
Thanks for checking out my new video and commenting 👍 I owned a 89 Samurai hardtop a few years before buying the sidekick, I kind of regret selling mine too. I sure like the styling and look of the Samurai’s more but after owning both I have realized the sidekicks definitely ride a lot smoother and have a few more features that make it a bit more comfortable to be in for longer trips. Let me know if you pick another one up sometime. Thanks for recommending my channel! I definitely appreciate it 🙂
@@Mikefestiva First thing I did with the Samurai was to adapt the doors for easy removal - nice for the weather here in GA. I could definitely see where the Sidekick would be better in your part of the country. Awesome I forgot you had a Raider! They are really cool machines 👍 I had a 1989 2 door Mitsubishi Montaro years ago, great solid vehicle, one of my friends has one he offered me that needs some engine work for $300, it’s tempting but I feel like I would have to many projects if I took that on. Good you got some DSL, we got starlink but it’s definitely not reliable yet, it’s still in the beta stages. Take care!
I have a Lockright video coming out soon, not some much about installing it, I did it at a friends house and didn’t take much video of it, the video will cover more things about drivability as a daily driver. There will definitely be some tips at the end of the video about installation. Thanks for checking out my new video 🙂
another project Mike? You sure do like to keep busy! took me a week to put up a shelf in the kitchen. I was very proud of myself! 😂 Keep up the good work, You inspire me to do more!
really nice build! I have only a 3500 winch with a snatch block (i think you guys call it so?) on my Lada niva, and so far so good! But i haven't try to do a "mud titanic" with it either!
In addition to the battery disconnect tip, another good advice for any first time car welder is to always try to clamp on the part you're about to weld to the car. The ECU can pick up stray ground spikes and get cooked if you happen to be unlucky. I've seen it happen (a 2004 Suzuki Vitara) so it's not a car world myth, battery was disconnected.
Hey Mike. Your getting very good with these tube projects. I think you could build a frame using tubes. Hmmmmm maybe a future build? I love the pre runner look.

Dude, the bumper looks amazing! Do you think you would sell the files for the cad work for the mounting brackets and winch plate so folks could take them to a local water jet shop?
It’s not too small have the same one on my rzr and it’s pulled my truck stuck in sand with the trailer attached a couple times. It’s also drug my truck about an inch in park and the ebrake on with the trailer attached. So people can smash em how they want but I’ve seen a few in action ad there worthy. I was also able to buy mine for $200 with the 20% coupon and two mounting plates. I need to start a channel also I make a bit of odds and ends be fun. I really enjoy your craftsmanship.
