She's still with Wirtual right?
Haha perfect comment
Legends say Anna and Assios are still shaking hands to this day
Heh heh😂

"Distracted by the conversation," riiiiight Anna.
“The more I look at my opponent the more confident I am” nice deflection from what was really happening 😅
😂😂ya i believe her totally
"If you see me looking a lot at my opponent during the game it's because... I am fully attracted to him."... Can't fool me Anna
I think what you meant to say was "attracted". Cuz I think Anna is attractive to the majority of people regardless of if she looks at them (:
@@user-ck5rh4ky6u I did 🤣
100% this.
I think on review Anna realised she had been gazing at this handsome man for quite some time and tried to hide this observations with the “I’m confident” statement 😂
It’s ok Anna - you’re only human. And ironically a tonne of your subscribers watch this channel for the exact same reason
Totally flirting throughout 😆
i thought the same :D
longest chess handshake ever
obviously there was a desire for a kiss there, but the camera screwed that up... 😀
@@nunes1907 lol
Anna didn’t seem to be thinking about chess in this game ❤

It takes humility to show your mistakes to the world and thats why we keep coming backe to watch you. Thanks for your honesty and humour.
"to the world?" what the F_ _ does she care about "the world"?!? We are nothing to her just like she's nothing to us.

I know right!
Anna with her signature distraction tactics
She just has to sit there to be distracting, in my respectfully humble opinion. But she's a strong player.
No, she doesn't have to just stand there to be distracting. She works it strategically and its getting old.
No, she moves about and chatters with a low blouse....
Beautiful couple playing their first game of chess.
lol
Thanks again, Anna. After losing my share of "won" games it was good, maybe even a little cathartic, for you to share one of your "won" games that ended up a loss. You (and the choices you make to show us your life and games) are SUPER!
Great commentary, C5 elaboration was sharp. Thank you. Love your wrap- up at the end. Great wisdom.
I love how she explain her game thought process and variations along with the reasons behind them. Genius!!!
That ending handshake! 😂
:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I really enjoyed her narrative addressing her strategy after each move. I could pause the video and ponder their positions. Please make more videos like this.
I think they like each other, that was one long handshake at the end
It was very sweet of you to let him win

When I was playing otb chess many years ago and I had a winning position I could hear Josh Waitzkin in the back of my mind "if you on the edge of winning you are also on the edge of losing".
Your content is very refreshing and motivate me to lose more games in chess
I have that problem, a lot of times I don’t go play and improve because I’m afraid of losing elo. I know it’s stupid but it happens to me

Woman dance like this all the time, even if alone. Moving the hair away is also nothing special. But caressing any body part or hair def. would be subconscious body languange. I didnt see it here though.
yep... and there is a very cosy hotel just 20 meters from the bar btw". Room 25 they ended choosing.
Anna, you should compile a list of these chess bars all over the world!
Anna is hot,
This!
This is brilliant idea!
Maybe google can ad chess bars to their search shortcuts as well!😮
Wait until you play Carlson's plumber and gardner :)
Someday, totally unexpected, Carson just going to sit down in front of her, say "Hello Anna," and she is going to be so flustered that she forgets to start recording the match. And we will never know how it went.

We are so lucky to have Anna Cramling including us all on her Chess adventures. Something very special about this one.......
I'm thinking that wasn't your first beer that day.
I love this format, as your channels. We want to see the other game, too.
I think she was clearly distracted by his rizz
I love that you are brave enough to show mistakes as well as your winning play, sometimes we learn more from defeat than victory! keep up the wonderful work of promoting our amazing game.
Love the channel! Anna made me start playing chess, i havent since being a kid!
Thanks for the amusing videos, it's inspired me to start playing chess (albeit badly) again after probably 3 decades of not
If you look closely, you will see him moving his d4 knight to b5 not his c3 knight...
Nice find!
@@ThomasLiljeruhm 01:03 - correct! Nice find!!
Very true. Luckily, I saw this comment just as the video is starting, so I'll watch close to see if the game on the display comes to match the game on the board again at some point.
Didn't take long for the boards to match again. Fellow just moved the knight back a few moves later.
i was here to say the same thing! you're fast!
If this is a new style, I'm all for it. Love the narration and dramatic music!
Loving the format. I remember watching this match on stream actually.
Anna fell in love😅
In Slovenian bars classic lager beer was always less than 2€. People are furious here when it is around 3€ now haha
It's common to be around 8-14$ in Oslo, depends on the bar.
Used to be €1 / €1,5 in Belgium but now it has gone up to €2,5 +
Taxes must be ridiculous in Norway, or they charge heavily so there aren’t too many people waiting for a board, because those people love to drink their beer. Who can afford it, though? Wow.
I went drinking at the end of my college career long ago with several Norwegians and a Swede who were in my classes and groups. We closed the bar down that night, and man can they drink. Riding my bicycle home was interesting!
@@HQBergeron Taxes? Well, it's 25% VAT, but there's also an alcohol fee, which depends on how much alcohol it is. I think beer, probably like 2$ per liter. She was drinking 0.5l, so it would just add 1$ to it. VAT would be like 2.75$. So let's say it really cost 8$. The real expense here is the location and the people working there. Usually/often no tip.
@@HQBergeron 8€ in Finland
I like this new opening from Anna. First e6 and then moves like Jagger followed by “confident in my position” stare downs. Love it.
I love this voice over style. It helps new channel viewers understand Chess a lil more.
The king's gambit, Anna variation
I think the line "I work for Magnus" is a top tier pick up line in the chess world.
During editing is when she came up with that, "here's something I have never told anyone in the world, if you see me looking at my opponent like a love sick school girl it just means I am confident in my position on the board." Ummm ok. She knows we watch her play all the time right? Wouldn't we have noticed that before, or has she never been confident in a game before? Hahaha
I won't bring up the length of the handshake at the end, or ask if that's foreplay in the Chess world. I will just stay silent. 😁
Maybe one of your best videos, Anna. Very good format. Good story, the speed, multi-level tension… like this is Game of Thrones. Outrageous 👍
Absolutely love the format. WOW! a great lesson learned. Chess Princess.
Anna, I like this format. And I think you were not just looking at him for confidence but flirting 😄
Truth 😊
You've got to go to a professional NFL game to get hit 12 Bucks for a beer
Holy Cow !!!
It's a great lesson! It's so easy for the game to just turn around like that. Thanks!
There's fluid exchange in this handshake.
Looked more like a date than a chess match😂❤
I be afraid I knock the beer over when going for the timer
I really like your video format. The voiceover dialogue is great. So is the music.
This is the most relatable chess video I've watched (other than the part about being well ahead in the beginning...).
Magnus Carlsen's DJ??? Is that a chess term? I looked it up and couldn't find a definition. Is it a Norwegian term? Does Magnus have a personal DJ (disc jockey) in the usual meaning who plays music for him?
the dollar is collapsing 12 bucks a beer
I love your commentary and explanations of what you were thinking at the time and reasons for your moves. I sympathize with this since I have lost many games due to late blunders.
Ditto. Well said.
Love how excited you get about this stuff. I only know the rules of the game not any strat so that stuff goes right over my head but that lesson about not taking the game seriously is something Dark Souls taught me. You can be god tier good but if you don't respect the opponent it can flip in an instant.
8:52 bro got rejected even in a gg handshake
Not so sure about that, she held and shake his hand for a very long time 😅😂
yeah but he came up short the first time lol@@Befree898
this guy plays good indeed AND so are you. By the way 12€ for a beer is outrageous
12 euro for a beer is... a bit much, even in Oslo. You can get one for like 8£ too, but not common to be around 8-12 at bars.
@@MMasterDEsickening, beer costs less than 1 euro to produce a glass 💀
I'm learning more from these commentaries than from studying lines thank you! You also have a really nice accent :)
I love your generous joy at the way he won the game, and how you don't let the serious side of sport steal your admiration for his suprise finish. :-)
Anna, the $12 beer, alcohol affect, the music, you're staring at the young man and your attraction to him affected your game. So obvious 😂
Anna suddenly moving to Norway, but not because of the 12$ beer
💀
That was such a well explained game.....absolutely fascinating 👏
Jeez you two, get a room
His concentration skills are legendary :)
Love the philosophical message at the end 🤣💯
This is my favorite bar! Went here during my abroad term in college.
I think you lost because you thought your opponent was cute. That's the real reason why you were looking at him so much. 😊
Anna: i havet a FANTASTIC position.
Continues to lose the entire game. 😂
E njoy your videos. Thanks!
Anna's biggest weakness in the game was the undeveloped bishop that was blocking the connecting of the rooks. From earlier on I thought this was going to cost her. Her checkmate would not have happened with connected rooks.
Good lessons, an ever-so-needed reminder to remain alert and look out for the losing opponent's last-chance attacks.
I feel like Anna always gives the best chess commentary never I’m in a bad mood. I just listen to Anna‘s chess commentary and it makes me happy.
The body language in this one... positively swooning over the guy and then graciously letting him win!
It's a great video ! Although the gackground music sent me very sad vibes. I thought someone was going to die ...
Seriously I was sad just listening to the music.
Best regards,

Love the new format, with commentary!
why didn't you use your bishop to take his bishop when he took the pond?
1:20 Distracted by the conversation? Looking at your opponent? You were obviously smitten.
conversation translates to "handsome Norwegian man"
I do like this new format. I like the commentary on your thinking and strategy.
Yes Anna! Outrageous! Maybe that’s why he didn’t seem to buy one! Hohoho! You still played a great game, and continuing to enjoy life is great advice!! I still rewatch that game you had with Feisty Forest on Coffee Chess as an example of how good a person you are, despite losing a game once and awhile! Bless you😊👍
What is a chess DJ?
That is a legitimate question..
Andrea Botez . I quite like her techno stuff .
I really admire that Anna uploads great games regardless of the result, not just her wins! There is a lot we can learn from this one!
Legend says… that they’re still shaking each other’s hand to this day!
I don't know why I watch these cause I have no bloomin' clue how to even play Chess but it always looks cool. One of my fave scenes in a movie is the end of Sherlock Holmes (with RDJ) where he's playing Chess with Moriarty and then beats him like after Moriarty already thought he had the game so I guess that's what happened to you. Great lesson on overconfidence.
Look at him shaking your hand at the end. He didn't want to let go. He is smitten too!
He didn't even shake her hand in the video, just held out his hand to offer to shake hands because it's typically expected. What do you mean by saying "he is smitten too!"

Hi Anna, I do enjoy your chess videos. Is there a particular app that projects a 2D view of the chess board onto the video in real time available?
I just shared this link with my son with the following comment: I like to watch Anna Cramling's chess videos sometimes, not because I'm really following all the strategy closely, but because she's so cute. She's having such a good time, it is infectious. She's a very serious player, and yet she's extremely agreeable about it. It's charismatic chess. LOL. This is a video about a game she lost, but almost the entire game she is convinced she's going to destroy the guy. Very characteristicly of her, she is not only a super good sport about it but takes a kind of delight in her screw up. She knows how to laugh at herself. Very uplifting.
I was watching the video and somehow I knew she would self-sabotage herself at the end to let him win and thus keeping him on a pedestal.
You shouldn't reveal your tells!
Your videos are sooo enjoyable!!! Thank you, Anna!!!!

They are certainly not the same, but tennis and chess have in common that things can change very quickly and unexpectedly. I've been way ahead in a set and lost but I've also been way behind (sure I was going to lose) and somehow won. What you said about not being greedy was very good, this is quite right.
Anna has that kind of personality you just want to be around. Not to mention the incredible, genuine smile.
