This is for HVAC use only. Sharkbite is for plumbing / water use only. HVAC refrigerant copper tubing is built and sized differently from water plumbing copper tubing. To your point, Sharkbite does have a few competing brands -- all of which are for plumbing only. Google it and you'll see these alternative brands

How do you release the fittings? Is there any tool available?

Watch mid point of the video he shows you a simple tool for removal of fittings. It's very similar to the Sharkbite method of removal.

I wish they would tell you the depth instead of trying to convince you to buy their dumb "tool"
