Nice to find a candid, honest video in the internet- most of things these days are for showing off or make money Tks for trying to help strangers bro, that one clearly came from the heart!
My brother, I stand by you and lend you my strong arm and shoulders for when you need support. I feel sure that many others in this community you created stand ready to do the same. BTW, I just stamped your Man Card with a platinum Gentle Man's medallion. You exemplified that "gentleness" is strength under control.
Thank you for this video. I, myself have been going through probably the hardest times of my life since last year in January. It started with my wife leaving me in January. Then in March my one year old daughter passed away. It has been really hard for me to keep my head up and keep on looking forward. I've had to stay strong so that my depression wouldn't effect my 3 year old daughter who I ended up gaining custody of in September. There's some days where it's hard for me to get up in the morning. I'm only 21 and have suffered one of the hardest things a parent could face. But my beautiful 3 year old daughter is what keeps me going. Because of this I will not be able to raise my daughter and watch her grow. but I sucked it up because I know I can't let that impact the relationship I have with my other daughter. I just want people to understand that there is always a reason to keep on trucking. Sometimes it might not be so obvious, whether it's that you have many people that care about you and need you in their life. Or maybe it's because your life will end up being very important for someone else later on. Life may get hard, but it's always dark before it gets light. I hit the point where I know that there is no way it could get any worse. So in a weird way that truly helps. I have not found many people who are there for me emotionally. But there are few that really do help. and that's all that matters. No matter how dark it might seem, there is always a way to find the light. Without chaos there cannot be peace. Without dark there cannot be light. It's the yin and yang of life. Keep your head up everybody, and remember there is always a reason to never give up.
***** I'm really glad that this video topic was able to connect with you. Keep on moving forward and doing what needs to be done. Appreciate the comments!
Thank you for putting in effort to make videos like this. I really appreciate when someone has a positive message and they take the time to share it with the world. I'm going through a dark time myself right now, and I've been a part of an online community that is helping me through it. Their advice and life experience are priceless. People: whatever problem you are having, you can get through it.
Well done with this Eric, love all the beard talk and info, and I really appreciate that you and the beardbrand company put out these extra videos, I am very happy for you and that you and your wife got through some stressful and hard times, thanks again guys 😁
Nathan Ranft Absolutely, and I feel like with the number of viewers I get on this channel that I might be able to help out one or two people. Even if that's all I affected, that's better than zero. The world is both wonderful and challenging and there are others there for both situations.
Eric, man i'm 15 and honestly you're one of my main role models i just admire yourself so much and to be honest i respect you so much for this, thanks for making my day a little bit lighter hang in there bro
***** We've since had a baby, who is growing up nicely so things are pretty good around here right now. I'm glad to be able to help out and provide an inspiration for you. You are lucky to be young, open minded, and have the world at your fingertips. Take advantage of all the information around you and do something that you love.
All of your videos have been amazing, but this one my Friend has gone above and beyond. Truly incredible. Thank you. I have been going through some really hard times medically lately and this is so uplifting.
+nicholas bailey Thank you so much for your comments and keep on fighting. Focus on what you can control and don't worry about things outside your control. Glad to have helped and thanks again!
+Beardbrand I would love to be able to talk to you in private some time. my email is nicholasb423@gmail.com if you can respond by this method it would awesome.
This video both warmed and broke my heart. I'm sorry to hear you and your wife had to suffer such bleak times but I'm filled with empathic joy that you've brought a child into the world who will be loved and cared for.
Jack Leahy Yes, we are very excited to be parents and have such a lovely daughter. Not everyone has the same outcome, so we are truly happy for all the things that happen to us.
Thanks for the video Eric. I have been following Beardbrand for almost a year now and have seen all fp your videos. It's cool that you shared this since I went through a dark time recently. I've been having severe panick attacks for the past two weeks and it kept me house bound since I was afraid it would trigger in public or at work. It turns out that this happens to many University students after exams.
Nick LeBlanc Oh man, I can't imagine dealing with that. Hopefully things are getting clearer for you. I've found that simply focusing on the things I can control has greatly improved my outlook on life. There are so many things I don't get worked up about anymore simply because I know that I can't affect the outcome. Thanks for share your challenges and look forward to seeing more of your comments!
I hope everything goes well for you! Thank you for sharing what you and your wife went through! Very inspiring.... This video helped a lot! Funny I was looking at beard videos didn't expect this at all. Take care my friend!
It's the first time i see you talking full pf emotions not like the previous videos that you prepared the script for them to be awesome. When you talked about the hard period you went through with your wife your eyes were full of life. Eric buddy, keep it up and keep sharing this love, i love you and your adorable family.
Matty Yaqo Ya, I definitely laid it out there a bit, but I don't script any of my videos. I'll get an idea in my head and just ramble on for 5 to 8 minutes. Appreciate the comments and support!
This video got me right in the feels. Thanks for sharing. I am recovering from a stroke that I had last year. I also had some genetic testing to see if I had Huntington's disease. It has the symptoms of schizophrenia, ALS, and Parkinson's disease.I appreciate that you shared your private struggle with us beardos with us. Stay strong and beard on.
Ask a Flight Attendant My wife is a genetic counselor and I've heard her talk about Huntington's disease a few times, so I know it's something that others are dealing with. Thank you for sharing your story. Good luck with your road to recover and wishing you the best as well!
My partner went through the pain of a miscarriage nearly a year ago. I know how that is. I felt so helpless sometimes. No matter what I said or did didn't seem to help. Just being there to hug or to be shouted at or let her cry on my shoulder. We are still trying.
Good luck Simon and I'm sorry for your loss. Definitely a hard spot to be in and as a guy we have to accept we can't "fix" it. Time helps, but the pain will always be there. Wishing you the best as you continue the journey!
It's good to know i can relate to the guys i follow on UA-cam, sometimes it's hard. Thanks for the video, i would love to see more of this kind of stuff. Maybe a podcast....
***** We are working on developing a podcast that would go into more details about the urban beardsman lifestyle. I've done a few videos on personal freedom and other life topics. I've created a playlist here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbNjQ228c-rhtLXTH5JdRrrP66o64EiTN.html Stay posted as we will continue to create new stuff that hopefully helps the world become a better place. Thanks for your comments and support!
Thanks for this dude. I love this brand but I'm much more excited to see it become a community. I'm confident with you spearheading the whole thing, we'll get there! This becoming a thing that is just more than grooming but about overall wellness and enlightening will serve us best. Keep it up good sir.... "beard on!!!!"
Kilson Tejada Absolutely man! I mean, growing a beard is quite an experience and changes us as individuals; but there is so much more to life than superficial things. I think there is great opportunity for all of us to become better individuals and help society. Thanks for the support and the comments!
Dude this video and its purpose is amazing, thank you for this. I always say people should to be more vulnerable and transparent, and that's exactly what you did, because it serves a great purpose and that's encouragement. Cheers man :)
Anthony Headrick I'm always happy to share from my experiences as life for me is more challenging when I bottle things up. I hope others learn and become better from a bit of my efforts. Thanks for the comments and the support!
alexwtss I'm always willing to put myself out there if it helps others. Sometimes we just see people and assume everything is beautiful in their lives and they don't realize the challenges we face. By bringing things to the open it's a great way to overcome adversity. I'm happy to share and I appreciate your comments!
Thank you Eric. It is amazing to see someone come out with such raw truth. This helps prove that Beardbrand is more then beard products. You rock! I really like how you, and other Beardbrand members reply to comments. It really helps us feel connected. This helps the connection that much more. :) Beard on!
AtrumNoxProductions Connecting with the community and getting to know y'all is probably the best thing about what I do. I can't imagine giving that up to focus on business bullshit. I've gotten so many great stories over the years and it's awesome that people can share those with us. Always love seeing your comments!
Beardbrand I know I have said this before, but that is part of what makes your company awesome. I kinda feel like the folks in Shark Tank didn't really see that. Granted, they may be good people, but their focus is the business bullshit. I love seeing your videos, and I can't wait to see the next one, from you, Jeff, or Joel.
UrTalkingToKory Ya, I definitely had some shitty days over the past 5 years. Sometimes people see these UA-camrs and don't realize that all individuals struggle with things at certain points in their lives. I'm happy to share my journey to help others.
Wow. My friend you are admirable for totally putting yourself out there - with total raw emotion, compassion, and honesty. You're correct - unfortunately everyone deals with shit in their lives but you put forward a point that many people need to realise. I'd love to be able to chill with you at some point if I ever venture to America bro - you seem like a real decent person! Much love from England
owendudeson I'm lucky in that I'm a public person and sharing my ups and downs comes easy to me. I've learned that there is no advantage of bottling it in. We visit England about once a year and am always down for a beer. I'd also be happy to introduce you to Steven, our division leader for our UK brand and who is simply awesomer than me. steven@beardbrand.co.uk.
Beardbrand Well that's a good thing to learn - I'm 99% sure most of the time it's learnt the hard way! Awesome man! I'll hold you to that! And oh some competition for the most awesome on Beardbrand? You two should totally have a beard off.
Thank you for making this. I'm just getting out of a dark time, lots of death in my family in the last year. I have been using the GI bill going to school since I got out of the navy, and I've been having a real hard time in school. I couldn't transfer to the school I wanted to get into. I've been looking into getting into the sailors Union of the pacific, and now I'm super close to getting in to my dream career. And to top it off, I just met an amazing woman that wants to stick around. Once again, thank you.
anthony wylie Anthony, thank you for sharing your experiences. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to go through that. Glad to hear things are turning around. Working through and above pain is a great triumph!
I admire you I have been following you since very Long time and it says a lot of you that you openly on the Internet say what was happening some time algo in your lífe. Its a very private thing and you are sharing it with All o us. We All have them. The one who hide them and seems to have a perfect life , im sure it has worst Problems. A lot of love in this video. Thank you and... Oh! I recently found a retailer here in México of your productos hehe, and mi very happy for that. I Will post a picture of my beard on Facebook. My name is Jose btw, no that it mathers but first time i talk with you Eric, so nice to meet you and mucho light & best Wishes for you and your family from México :) Beard on!
astwerhat Jose that's awesome to hear you are able to connect with a retailer who has our products! It's been challenging shipping our stuff to Mexico so I'm glad you have a local resource. Thank you for the support!
Kristian Georgiev We were fortunate to finally give birth to a beautiful daughter. It's been a struggle but we are very happy with the sacrifices we made to bring her to this world. Thank you for the comments and support!
I have a mom with severe bipolar manic depression and it's tough to be around people with seemingly normal families with supportive, successful mothers. My girlfriend of almost 4 years still doesn't feel comfortable around her, it's a daily struggle in my mind. Knowing that someday, my father could pass before my mother; I honestly don't know what I'd do, but it's a heavy responsibility that I know will be mine. It also affects the decision to ever have children. With that disorder in my family, there's a risk that comes with it. I have dark days, but nobody would ever know by looking at me. I also know I'm not alone. Thanks for your honesty. Much love, Justin
Earclops83 Justin, thank you so much for sharing a personal part of your life. I can't imagine how difficult your situation is to deal with. I think the key is to just focus on what is going on with life, what you can control and what is outside your control. Take the steps you can to improve what you can, and learn to be content with things that are outside your control and not very favorable. Hopefully I've helped a lot, and I'm sure there are many bipolar communities out there who can empathize with your situation.
Thanks for the video, really needed to hear this. Appreciate your honesty. I like how the brand and channel is becoming a positive community in itself. Keep up the awesome work!
HairyCanuck Ya, it's really awesome network of guys and girls. It's funny how so many people talk about UA-cam comments being shit, but really I've only seen about a handful of asshole comments on all my videos combined. It's really a great network of people and glad you enjoyed the video.
+Allen Bebbington Ya, life sometimes is just shit. It's not a pissing match to see who's living a better life; but it does help to know we all deal with our own battles. Keep on fighting and it will get better!
Daud A Hah, I'm not always the best and I'm sure my wife could attest to that. Life is a struggle, but it's also beautiful. I hope to share my learned lessons so others don't make the same mistakes I've made.
Thanks, sometime correct words in certain times makes all the diference. I'm going throught a phase that all things are falling down in my life, my college, my relationships, some people that i most need are leaving me. i feel kind alone and im keeeping this to my self because i think no one want to hear my troubles. But im trying my best to be better and i wont give up. Love u guys, sorry about the english need to improve. If someone needs im glad to help.
YOY scott Oh man, sorry to hear about your challenges! Things aren't falling down, but your life is shifting and presenting new opportunities. Take advantage of the changes to find a new network and community. Go to networking events, join sports (or interest) clubs, and explore the world. It's beautiful and you'll do it!
Eric, this video has good timing for myself. I personally am experiencing very hard time myself. My marrage is going downhill fast. Because of my wife and I are not getting along I have decided to move out of the house. We are messing up our children. I'm getting professional help. I had something happened to me when I was a teenager. I never told anyone about till I told my wife last year. You say put yourself out there. I really don't understand what you mean. It would really be nice to have an online community to communicate with. Thank you for putting this video out. I really respect you a lot. Thanks
Mark Hoffman Sorry to hear about your challenges, and I can imagine they are very trying. I'd suggest that you reach out to other individuals who you know who have gone through a divorce or a separation and get their input on the situation. Let them know you are going through tough times and you'd like to know how they handled it. If you don't have an in person support group; try reaching out to an online forum like this: talkaboutmarriage.com/ Lots of people there can give you perspective that you may have not considered. Good luck!
In late February, 2013 I went through a break-up. My girlfriend cheated on me and it was by far the worst feeling ever felt. I cried like crazy and had to fight my tears at work or while I was hanging out. It is VERY important to, like you said, put yourself out there, so people can help you. Most people hide in their own sorrow, which is the worst thing to do. My advice to the fellas, the bros is: DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CRY OR TALK ABOUT IT! Crying doesn't make you weak, but it makes you human and even MORE OF A MAN! What helped me was the "therapy" I found in talking about it and getting people's advice. The more you talk about it, the more you vent out. And always, always, ALWAYS know that you will be fine. Rough times are necessary in our lives to make us stronger and teach us a very valuable lesson. Great video, Eric! It's good to know you and your wife are better now!
Chris Daron Chris thank you for sharing your experiences and I too have been on the wrong side of a relationship break up. Lots of pain and tears for sure. There is no shame in that and venting was what helped for me. I think I vented for about 9 months with one of my ex's (she ended up becoming my wife - so it was good I couldn't get her out of my mind). Thanks again for the comments and beard on!
thank you Eric, always nice to know that we are not alone in our struggles. i personally am a member of the teamsters and have formed some really good bonds with those brothers, also have found AA to be helpful in the past, and another perhaps more important resource is you spouse/significant other, if we dont let them know how we're feeling then they just get pushed aside and neglected and ya end up with another dark issue . . . lol here's an example: i never really new my wife actually liked beards because i never asked, she just thot she hated the "civilwar/epic" style mustache, i always kept my beard short and only during the winter, but now i decided to see what happens with not trimming it and right now its about as,long as yours Eric (long mustache too) and when i said i might trim or cut it she said maybe i should keep letting it grow a few more inches, i was shocked LoL!! now was it because she's been out in public when i've been complimented, or because she likes the way it looks, or both? i dont know, but the fact is i never talked about it so i never knew, lesson learned: communication is vital, doesnt matter who you talk to, just talk. thanks for creating this community Eric, you have opened a portal and connected many people
David Rudd Yup, your spouse should know everything about you in my opinion. If someone tells me something in secret I let them know that my wife will always know it as well. There is nothing that I purposely keep from her. It's funny though, after many years you can still learn something new about your spouse. Appreciate your insight and experiences!
Nikolas Zivanas Thank you! We are lucky to have an 18 month old girl and have broken through one of our most challenging experiences. I'm sure there are many more dark days ahead, but also many bright days ahead. Thank you as always for your comments Nikolas. I always love reading them!
Hey Eric... That was very brave and strong of you to share your grief online about you and your family's hardship...kudos to you bro...and thankly you both were blessed in the end with a wee cutie of a bairn (Scottish word for baby).....I'm gonna share this on my Facebook to reach out to my fellow beardsmen and I'm gonna give you a shout out on my next beard blog on my channel later today... We love you too brother!! I'm Rossyboy34 on instagram by the way...I support you on insta as well. Beard on..
Ross The Bearded Scotsman Ross, we are very fortunate to be parents now, and cherish the moments (both good and frustrating ones). Thank you for the support and comments. Really means a lot!
Fischer Arnold You're an awesome man Fischer to comment and support the community. Glad you enjoyed the video and I'll look forward to more comments from you!
I got a best friend that is in his early twenties struggling to pay for his rent struggling to pay for his vehicle and even struggling with buying food, at the same time, he didn't say it but his mom dad and older brother are taking advantage of him being the only bread provider of his family, i tried helping my friends family getting a job but they come up with excuses for why they can't keep one. I try to keep my opinions to myself, but him being my friend I feel like I got a responsibility to him to help him out some way or another. What should I do
adrian rodriguez You know, the one thing is you can't make people do other things. All you can do is tell him that you know times are rough, that you are 100% committed to helping him with his journey and struggles, and whenever he feels the time is right to reach out he can. But you certainly can't force help onto him.
So I'm trying to grow my beard and I have my chin coming in, my mustache growing and some neck hair. Do you recommend I shave more or just keep it growing??
She's an amazing person who loves the same interests of old school music and horror films as much I do.But how can I get her to believe that I am who I am with her knowing that I wouldn't cheat on her what's so ever I am a faithfully gentleman as well?
I seriously dont know what to do everything im doing turns to the worse all my happines turns to sadness everything i do is not enough i really dont know what to i was depressed 2 years and now i thought things are starting to get better but in truth its not im just hiding everything I contemplated suicide multiple timws just because i dont think continuing to live is worth it but i seriously dont know what to do as we speak i am applying to universities and fear i might not get accepted i dont know what to do i dont useually seek this and pretend and stuff but I seriously dont know where my life is heading
+Demonslayerrrgaming You know, during times such as the kind you're describing, you're often overwhelmed with a sense of loneliness, and the feeling that others might not understand how hopeless you feel. The truth is though that you really aren't alone, man. All of us have had times like the one you're going through - sometimes it lasts a week and sometimes it lasts a year. Life can be scary and overwhelming at times, and sometimes things don't seem to be going your way. I'm here to tell you from experience that things can and do change. I (and plenty of others) have been down and dealt with tough times. And without fail, every single time it has happened, there has eventually come a tipping point when things change and start to get better. That is the ebb and flow of life, and it will constantly be shifting into ups and downs - that is just a fact. It's not about "if" you get hit with hard times - because you will - it's about how you deal with it. I can tell you that things only got worse for me when my mindset turned more negative and pessimistic, buying into the idea that things were bad and weren't going to change. However when I dug my heels in and accepted I was just in a rough patch and that I had to keep my head down, work hard, stay positive, and ride out the storm, it became easier to bear and things started to change in my favor. There is a theory called the "Law of Attraction" that states "Like attracts like", meaning that, for example, negativity with in turn draw in more negativity, and in contrast positive will attract more positive. Find the little things in your life that bring you joy and you have control of - maybe it's your morning cup of coffee, watching the sun set, taking a long drive - and make time to do those things and focus on the fulfillment they bring you. Take that positive mindset and work to expand it throughout your day, and know that your struggle will pass. And if it helps make you feel any better regarding not knowing where your life is headed - none of us do, man. Most of us out here are just pretending we have it all figured out, but really it's all one big mystery we're trying to better understand and enjoy! Best of luck to you. -Zach
Thanks a lot man i have your words screenshotted for whenever times gets tough than you a lot for helping me out i will tey my beat getting out i was upset because i got out of a dark 2 years where i literally had one friend and he was as antisocial as i was and we got along a little and stuff but when i finally became to "feel" good the last 8 months i was happy but again i got hit with more hard times and i got depressed again and i dont want to g o into that again because i know what happens when i do you feeel so alone that everything inside is empty nothing makes you happy but thank you sir you helped me a lot i will subscribe to you as soon as i grow a beard ☺️
***** I'm really glad to hear it helped. Is there a group for bad fathers who have never seen their son and getting sued for child support but doesn't make any money cuz they live with their dying disabled mom who is the most discouraging and one of very few friends, simultaneously trying to get a GED and go to collage but everything in life is setting you further back from doing any good for yourself. Kicked out of home when I was 16, dropped out of school and moved in with a drug dealer... Finally going back to your mom after being told she suffered a 3rd heart attack, and try to do good by helping your mom and keeping the mother of your child, but you end up losing one and am waiting to lose the other, not knowing what to do after that as a 23 year old guy... Sorry it's easy to vent to strangers lol kinda funny finding this video when typing in "my life is crap" in the search bar. One thing that helps me a little, is yes I feel like I have a wasted life, but the fact of the matter is there is always someone who is going through worse and has come out ok
I'm 14 and my life is doomed, I have been expelled from 3 school and removed from 3 and now I'm stuck at home doing noting, and I have lost almost all my friends, I have not spoken to any of my 4 closest friends since I was removed from school. And my mum said I'm going to be homeschooled, she's tried that before and it was shit she can't teach for shit, I learnt to read in year 7 and I became good at it, I don't want to leave, how will I get a GCSE now, go to collage and uni, I'm going to have to settle for a shit job when I grow up. This is not what I wanted, to me life is pointless, why do I bother
chicken man flowers but I did nothing wrong at my last school it was actually a mistake on the teachers part, trying to arrest me without looking into shit Kmt
I was EXACTLY where you are. I was expelled for something I didn't do. I learned that you don't need school to learn or be successful. It might suck now but you can literally do anything. Don't buy into the idea that you need to follow someone else's path.
Mr.Eric look man I've been going though a lot of horse shit around my life right now . I've been also talking to this girl that I knew after my girlfriend for the first time a relationship after left me four months ago,While my so called friends that I knew for six years runnied it...I bet you yourself would understand how to have patience with children?I'm going to be twenty one this December.I don't drink or smoke neither as well. How could I get this girl to go out with me and move into my new home by myself?I really want my hope of a ew fresh start to come true without any issues with the people I knew for a very long time.Shes twenty seven and she has two kids. What could I do to get her attention so fast I'll get what I wish for?All I want is peace and quiet without the people that distroyed my life from before? Please Mr beard brand what's the only way from how I can make all the dreams of her and I want to come true ?I'd appreciate of you writing me back your videos always make my day at time I'd appreciate thank you !Beard on
It's going to sound simple but; be yourself. One thing you have to learn and accept is that you can't force things in your life. If you have to go out of your way to change, compromise, or battle for her attention and affection, you'll spend the rest of your life waking up to daily battles with yourself. The key to happiness? You have to find peace, happiness, and contentment with yourself. Once you're balanced and centered within yourself, you'll be in a place that's open and receptive to positive things around you, and you'll invite in happiness and good vibes. You can't hinge your entire sense of happiness on one person that you're trying to win over - it has to start with you, all by yourself. Cut out the people who are negative influences on your life, surround yourself with positive and supportive people, and let her see your confidence and happiness. That is the thing that draws people in and makes them want to be around you. But you have to accept all potentialities - if things don't work out with this girl, you can't let that destroy your sense of self-worth or happiness. You have to understand that your life is full of experiences, people, adventures, ups and downs, and love. Believe me when I say, you never know what's around the corner or where your life is going to take you. Find your center, be happy with yourself first, and enjoy the unknowns in your life. This girl might be a part of it, and she may not, all you can do is put yourself out there, give things a shot, and enjoy the journey. -Zach
Went through some bad shit earlier this year, I nearly committed suicide-I'm not gonna lie about that-just bad stuff happening with a relationship/friendship, tough time getting work, all kinds of shit. The girl I was in love with was a Columbine survivor whom I met from interviewing her and, well, I grew attached...she had issues of her own, I had my problems, and it was just a cocktail of misfortune. But I was in love with her... It sure didn't help that, even though we grew close, she was married. Her husband eventually found out and we couldn't even be friends. So, despite the irony due to the Columbine massacre/suicide, I tried to shoot myself. I felt lower than human. My physical well being even plummeted due to severe depression, my eyesight even started blurring(though it's fine now) I felt like less of a man. I couldn't even bring myself to my own demise, I was too afraid of death being irreversible and no longer existing. But I just try to live day by day now.
Aaron McBryer Ah man, sorry to hear about your struggles. Keep in mind that you will work through it and things will get better. I can't even imagine how tough that must have been. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and I want to let you know that it means a lot for me to read them. I love you and can't wait to hear updates from you on how things are getting better!
Beardbrand Thank you so much, brother! Things should be looking up soon with moving and getting a good job. I'll be sure to let you know what's up from time to time. You guys rule and knowing there's a group of guys out there who have as much pride about their beards and what they mean as I have lets me know that I have friends out in the world who I have things in common with. Cheers and beard on!
Eric...your silence was so tangible! I felt ya man!
The honesty and real ness of this video was truly phenomenal and moving. Well done Eric.
Nice to find a candid, honest video in the internet- most of things these days are for showing off or make money
Tks for trying to help strangers bro, that one clearly came from the heart!
That's terrible I can't imagine what your going through! I hope that things get better, and make sure you keep your head up man!
Thanks brother. Us beardedmen have to stay together haha
I couldn't agree more that this video came at a perfect time for me. Cheers brother for the heartfelt and honest video
You guys definitely help keep us going. Beard on!
-Josh
Thanks for sharing this Eric. Depression is a tough thing to talk about. Thanks for encouraging people to talk about it.
Nathan Ranft Absolutely, and I feel like with the number of viewers I get on this channel that I might be able to help out one or two people. Even if that's all I affected, that's better than zero. The world is both wonderful and challenging and there are others there for both situations.
Eric, man i'm 15 and honestly you're one of my main role models i just admire yourself so much and to be honest i respect you so much for this,
thanks for making my day a little bit lighter hang in there bro
Thanks for your words, Eric. They're very inspiring!
Thiago Cardim Happy to share. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much for sharing, i too love the honesty of you , life sucks some times we all get through it one step at a time .
Thank you. I needed to hear those words of encouragement!
beautiful, beautiful, vid. sincere, honest, heartfelt, touching...i owe you a big hug come July my man.
Joel L. Daniels Looking forward to it Joel. You're awesome as always.
Thank you Eric.. God bless you and your family and the wonderful job you are doing.
this is why I will always respect Eric and Beardbrand as a whole.
Great video Eric!!! Keep up the good work you are doing. You are such a inspiration for all of us.
Tomasz Sochacki Thank you my friend for the kind words. Happy to help and I really love the support this community provides.
As always Eric, Great video. Very powerful message. I appreciate that you took the time to put this out. I will be sharing this most definitely.
Brian Edward Thank you Brian for the support and sharing. It means a lot.
Great video Eric! You are an inspiration!
YoAnty I'm certainly no YoAnty; but I try my best. Thank you for watching and commenting - you are truly a great guy.
Thanks, I really needed this right about now. Much appreciated.
Philippe Bédard Glad to help and appreciate your comments!
I hope everything goes well for you! Thank you for sharing what you and your wife went through! Very inspiring.... This video helped a lot! Funny I was looking at beard videos didn't expect this at all. Take care my friend!
Wonderful video. Thanks for opening yourself up to us in order to help your followers. All the best!
Awesome video Eric! Will keep this info in mind for the future! Love the hair.
subatomicflame Thank you, and also thank you for the hair compliment.
Appreciate the comments and support!
needed a boost today, feeling down. Eric always seem to cheer ,e up someway with your videos.
David Thomas Glad to help out and I really appreciate your comments. Thank you!
Really good video Eric. Thanks for sharing your story. Certainly inspirational. Stronger together. Peace.
Inspiration, preach it. You're a great guy
+Beardbrand Thanks mate. Beard on.
I've created a playlist here: ua-cam.com/play/PLbNjQ228c-rhtLXTH5JdRrrP66o64EiTN.html
Stay posted as we will continue to create new stuff that hopefully helps the world become a better place. Thanks for your comments and support!
Great video eric!
I'm the same way man. Very encouraging and I think more youtubers should do what you do man.
You are a brave man. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
alexwtss I'm always willing to put myself out there if it helps others.
Beard on!
I appreciate your honesty in this great video thank you !
Brandon v I'm glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate your support and comments. Thank you!
Hey Eric! Love you too man! Your videos are just awesome, and this one is no exception. In fact it's very peculiar!
Thank you very much for this video. I wish you ALL the best for the future
unknownconfig Thank you for the well wishes and the kind comments. Glad you appreciate it.
You're awesome Eric, thanks for taking time out of your life to help others!
BlackVenomPromotions Appreciate the comments and I enjoy doing what I'm doing! Thank you for watching.
fair play to you for putting this out there you have my respect brother
Promote positivity, navigate negativity. Be the reason somebody smiles today.
I could tell that this was a rough video to make, but it was an important one. This will help a lot of people. Thanks for being awesome.
UrTalkingToKory Ya, I definitely had some shitty days over the past 5 years. Sometimes people see these UA-camrs and don't realize that all individuals struggle with things at certain points in their lives. I'm happy to share my journey to help others.
Amazing video, Eric! It takes a lot of courage to open up about something that personal on the internet. Really motivational!
Andrew Snow Thank you Andrew! Glad to inspire and help out.
Stay strong brother :) We all love you!
It's great to see a real video, done by a real person. Thank you for putting yourself out there.
Michael Rankin I'm happy to share my experiences to help others and I really appreciate your kind words.
Inspirational, preach it🙌. You're a gat guy.
Thank you for the support!
thanks so much man you really helped me. I'll be sure to share this great vid
Thank you so much.
Leon Müller Appreciate the comment Leon and glad you appreciated the video. Beard on!
Good stuff! Thank you Eric. I hope you and your wife found some solution or peace with your situation.
Much love,
Justin
Earclops83 Justin, thank you so much for sharing a personal part of your life. I can't imagine how difficult your situation is to deal with. I think the key is to just focus on what is going on with life, what you can control and what is outside your control. Take the steps you can to improve what you can, and learn to be content with things that are outside your control and not very favorable. Hopefully I've helped a lot, and I'm sure there are many bipolar communities out there who can empathize with your situation.
Nice video man
dude you're awesome, keep up all the great work
Thanks for the video, really needed to hear this.
It's really a great network of people and glad you enjoyed the video.
very brave video bro sorry to hear. I suppose if you got through that I can get thru my problems too thanks the vid already helped somewhat
+Allen Bebbington Ya, life sometimes is just shit. It's not a pissing match to see who's living a better life; but it does help to know we all deal with our own battles. Keep on fighting and it will get better!
Thank you
Bastille Lungborow Happy to share!
Thank you Eric
Thank you Eric. Just... thank you.
Ken Day Ken, I'm glad to help. Appreciate the comment. It does mean a lot!
You Real 💯 Hope to fight all my struggles like you did #ThankYou
So good. You sir are great.
Brett Tozzi Thank you and glad you enjoyed.
I don't usually comment but dude that video was raw. Much love from the UK ~
Arfan Raza Thank you for commenting Arfan. Glad to see your comment and also love getting support from across the pond!
Peace and love brother :-). Great video!
Raven Poe Cheers to you as well! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your comments.
If you don't have an in person support group; try reaching out to an online forum like this: talkaboutmarriage.com/
Lots of people there can give you perspective that you may have not considered. Good luck!
Truth! Great video man.
Subtle Banter Thank you! And thanks for watching and commenting.
Amazing video dude. I hope that everything is good now.
+SmeX723 Ya, life is always a challenge, but we are so lucky to have our daughter in this world and the daily infertility struggles behind us.
+Beardbrand Just continue doing what u are doing. Inspire and motivate the beard community :)
Thanks again for the comments and beard on!
thank you Eric, always nice to know that we are not alone in our struggles. i personally am a member of the teamsters and have formed some really good bonds with those brothers, also have found AA to be helpful in the past, and another perhaps more important resource is you spouse/significant other, if we dont let them know how we're feeling then they just get pushed aside and neglected and ya end up with another dark issue . . . lol
here's an example: i never really new my wife actually liked beards because i never asked, she just thot she hated the "civilwar/epic" style mustache, i always kept my beard short and only during the winter, but now i decided to see what happens with not trimming it and right now its about as,long as yours Eric (long mustache too) and when i said i might trim or cut it she said maybe i should keep letting it grow a few more inches, i was shocked LoL!! now was it because she's been out in public when i've been complimented, or because she likes the way it looks, or both? i dont know, but the fact is i never talked about it so i never knew, lesson learned: communication is vital, doesnt matter who you talk to, just talk.
thanks for creating this community Eric, you have opened a portal and connected many people
David Rudd Yup, your spouse should know everything about you in my opinion. If someone tells me something in secret I let them know that my wife will always know it as well. There is nothing that I purposely keep from her. It's funny though, after many years you can still learn something new about your spouse. Appreciate your insight and experiences!
We love you too man.
KING FARAGE Thank you man! Really appreciate it.
I'm so sorry! These are indeed hard things to go through! Remember, we love you and our thoughts are with you and your family! :)
Nikolas Zivanas Thank you! We are lucky to have an 18 month old girl and have broken through one of our most challenging experiences. I'm sure there are many more dark days ahead, but also many bright days ahead. Thank you as always for your comments Nikolas. I always love reading them!
It's a pleasure watching your videos and thanks for letting us into your life!

Zach Derbas I'm currently trying to grow my hair long. :)
LeFateuser Awesome man..!!
You should make a vlog of it..
That is what I do. Helps the time fly by and it is a lot of fun.
How far along are you?

Nice man..!!
Keep at it my dude..
We long hairs are taking over! 💪🏼
Thanks alot man thumbs up!
Michael Mannarino Appreciate the thumbs up! Thanks also for commenting and supporting the channel. I appreciate it a lot.
This video is really great :)
JozefIsWatchingYou I'm glad you enjoyed it. I felt like it was an important video to share.
So I'm trying to grow my beard and I have my chin coming in, my mustache growing and some neck hair. Do you recommend I shave more or just keep it growing??
Brett Sorenson When in doubt; grow it out.
right on brother :)
Great
She's an amazing person who loves the same interests of old school music and horror films as much I do.But how can I get her to believe that I am who I am with her knowing that I wouldn't cheat on her what's so ever I am a faithfully gentleman as well?
can i just say....your hair looks fucking awesome dude!
accxel7 Thank you. I definitely have my ups and downs with it, so it's nice to hear compliments. Really appreciate it!
Best of luck to you.

good video
geekaleek Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment.
Apollo DA seems that the expel thing got you out of school. Why were you removed and expelled from three different schools?
chicken man flowers bcs of situations that escalated to the police being involved
chicken man flowers but I did nothing wrong at my last school it was actually a mistake on the teachers part, trying to arrest me without looking into shit Kmt
I was EXACTLY where you are. I was expelled for something I didn't do. I learned that you don't need school to learn or be successful. It might suck now but you can literally do anything. Don't buy into the idea that you need to follow someone else's path.

Thank you
But all I ever get in life is bad luck and I try to have patience as I can :/
Went through some bad shit earlier this year, I nearly committed suicide-I'm not gonna lie about that-just bad stuff happening with a relationship/friendship, tough time getting work, all kinds of shit.
