I like how you use the ferro rod correctly, pulling the rod up across the striker...keeps your hand steady and in one place, directs sparks to where you want them...won't be knocking your tinder all over. I've been pricing out all the diy cook kit options and comparing to the The Pathfinder kit...I'll be buying the Pathfinder Bottle Kit, but adding a butane stove to it for quick meals and coffee. Likely take the bottle out and put the stove in its place.

The one thing that makes me not mind the pathfinder one is that it is a little less in your face. As in not bright orange
