    The chassis issue was solved by the BS6 411 rolled out. I haven't faced such issues even after dropping the bike multiple times on trails and I've done north of 30k kms.

    If Royal Enfield were to put the 650 motor into a Himalayan type chassis, you would end up with a much heavier bike than the Himalayan 450 for only a 7HP advantage over the Himalayan 450 - sure, if you want to only ride roads a Himalayan 650 may appeal, but once off road you only have to drop a Himalayan 650 once to make your wish you had given up the 7HP for the lower weight, although your chiropractor will always encourage you to go for a Himalayan 650...

      Thats so true.. Glad they didnt go ahead with what everyone was expecting, a Himlayan 650. Coz a lighter touring bike is always much better.

    Room for improvement
    1. Adjustable suspension and break lever

    Hi lovely and practicality shot review....LOL I loved the vegetable and sweet buying part.... absolutely a must in our country 😂 keep up the good work ...I used to have an RX long back shifted to 4 wheels with a family ..
    .now in the second innings of life you and the Himalayan 450 really tempting me to get one... actually not a fan of RE at all but this 450 is something different at par with vehicles available in the MNC line ups....for the nit picker in me traction control band cruise control could have been the icing on the well done "choclate cake"

    I am also an owner of Himalayan BS4 it is vibe free till 100-105...Many people who complain about vibrations is because they don't use good engine oil, if u stick to RE's shitty liquid gun oil...It will never be vibration free...Post 110 yes you start feeling vibration thats for sure...And yes the engine struggle to speed up from 110 onwards... So yeah this 450 for sure will be a huge upgrade..

      Alloys on the other hand can bend or break easily after a string impact in offroading.. And the air will leak and ride ends.

    It’s sad to see the braking duties is served by a two piston calliper . Considering the power and momentum it generates , the braking hardware should have at least a 4 piston radial calliper . Outdated braking hardware .
    And the lack of a dedicated brake light is just not at all expected . And they could have given adjustable fork and mono shock (at least an option ) .

    • @joeblow1934
      @joeblow1934 6 місяців тому

      I would say YES. The bike has an "econo" mode that somewhat deadens the throttle to be less responsive. That would be a wonderful feature for a new rider. I say this because as new riders gain experience, confidence comes along with it. Most of the time the new rider is "ready" for more power after they have ridden the bike for some time. It is a win win situation because you don't have to buy a bigger bike with more power. You can just take it out of the econo mode.
      Cheers an Happy Motorcycling!

    I’m from Bangalore and i want to start from here to Leh Ladakh , so my question is if I wait n buy rally edition will I have a option for adding topbox n panniers as I need to carry more luggage from here.
    As I seen from the leaked images of rally edition n it’s accessory list I can add only small saddle bags n small top bag which is not enough to carry for touring compared to normal touring Himalayan 450.
