This is an incredible recipe! The only thing I'd do differently, is add the baking powder and soda to the dry ingredients, which is the standard way of doing it. I'll definitely make them!!!

Either way, when I go to make these I'm going to put both ingredients in with the dry as OP stated. Putting it in at the end runs a greater risk of over mixing the batter which is what we're not suppose to do... 🤷♀️😁

I made the cupcakes today, without frosting and fudge (plain cupcake). It is amazingly delicious. It rises perfectly. Will just have to add a little more sugar and cocoa powder. it wasn't as sweet as it should be. but other than that it is amazing.

You can definitely use white sugar instead of brown, it won't change the consistency but slight change in taste. I wouldn't recommend though to use hot chocolate mix, you really need to have good quality baking cocoa powdered, unsweetened :)

It's become a new way to incorporate baking powder. I see it in many videos. My pancake recipe is one example.

The reason to put the baking powder at the very end is to ensure proper rise of the cake, as soon as b.p is added to the batter, it is activated

Yes. Because of the heavy cream and cream cheese. You can remove them from the fridge about 20-30 minutes before serving.

It's a cream with about 35% milk fat that you can whip until stiff peaks form. Just be careful not to overwhip, or the cream may turn into butter.
